Marinette to zwyczajna nastolatka mieszkająca w Paryżu. Czy Biedronka i jej tajemniczy sojusznik, Czarny Kot, zdołają go powstrzymać?
First it starts off with Stormy Weather, one of the early villains when the show started to air in TV. I also liked how it didn't start with something that has a lot of plot but just with something casual to get into it. Of course, we were still provided with some quick romantic moments between Ladybug and Cat Noir, but nothing too serious.
The Bubbler is another villain that also appears in the show. This time it's about the complicated relationship between Adrien and his father. While I always thought that Adrien's father just tries to protect his son, I belive he overprotects him and is in general just rather mean to him. Adrien like a prisoner in his own house and that's really sad. Even though the situation both hurts Adrien, his friends and also the audience one can see his true self the best when he is at home than when he is around others. The complicated relationship with his father also gives Adrien more personality.
Ladybug is so supportive to Cat Noir. I really like seeing him grin when he feels better after talking to her. The most adorable moment in this volume was when Marinette sees Adrien use her birthday present and her reaction to it, especially how she decided not to tell him something that she should have told him, just to see him being happy.
Evillustrator is such an amazing villain. I always liked the concept of turning art into something threatening. So every time I see that episode (or now the manga chapter) I'm really excited. Unless other super powers, one creates their own super powers with ones drawings which in my opinion is even a bit overpowered, but that's exactly why I like it a lot.
The special notes are so insightful. I always wondered why Ladybug just stays Ladybug but Cat Noir keeps his French name, but now it all makes so much more sense. The french Hawk Moth name was already familiar to me as somebody French told me that it sounds more intimidating, which I agree. (I think it's hilarious how Hawk Moth looks like Batman from the panel on page 4). (Best part was the Sailor Moon reference, I have a weak spot for magical girl stuff. Seeing Cardcaptor Sakura as an advertisement at the end makes me consider buying it, I just need it!)
Big thanks to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for the advanced reader copy of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Complete Manga Omnibus by Koma Warita and Riku Tsuchida.

Not much to say about it, I read it super quickly in like an hour lmao, and well it was nice. Most of it was the same as in the show, except for a few scenes and the last chapter, Evillustrator, which was pretty different and left us with a cliffhanger of Gabriel, Ladybug and Evillustrator suspecting Adrien is Chat Noir, which... nothing like that has ever happened in the series so it was pretty cool, excited to read the second band to see how it goes.
As a fan of the show it was nice to read, I don't know how someone who has never watched the show would react to it tho, because it is a bit all over the place for someone who doesn't know anything about the plot and just very short, but I do think it can get more and better development with each band, so let's see.

This was a really cute and fun read, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who hasn't watched the show. It would be really confusing, and it's pretty messy. This is good for fans of miraculous, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for someone who hasn't watched it.
this volume is so sweet! it was so nice to refresh the first episodes of the series especially after the big arc finale in the tv series!! i enjoyed it a lot and the art is super cute, it fits miraculous world!
Ups -Well-paced action-packed storytelling per chapter -Superheroes who aren't afraid to be funny for a second, even during a perilous battle -Characters you can easily grieve for over misfortunes they didn't ask for but at the same time can hate for bad decisions (like hurting innocent adults not involved in the actions of one selfish-and-bossy adult) -Excellent artwork that doesn't shy away from having multiple female characters who be can visually cute and feminine-looking (with the series' female protagonist Marinette/Ladybug being one of them)
Downs -No explanation for the main antagonist's reason for his mission to steal the powers of the manga series protagonists (Adrien/Cat Noir and Marinette/Ladybug) -Unbelievable plot point where male protagonist Adrien's father (the manga's main antagonist of course) makes no attempt to take away the villain powers given to Adrien's friend Nino or even throw a punch at him when he hosted the party to celebrate Adrien's birthday despite being told not to -No explanation of how the protagonists of the series got their start as superheroes
Hopefully, Volume 2 of the manga series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir will answer some unanswered questions, but for what it's worth, I actually enjoyed what Volume 1 delivered, and while you don't have to be a fan of the French animated television series on which the manga itself (also called "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir") is based in order to say, "I want to read this series", I recommend the manga series for not only fans of superhero manga, but also fans of old school American superhero comics as it presents fun and exciting storytelling with no room for divisive political/social justice commentaries (which many comic readers are tired of seeing) added to the mix. I myself look forward to reading every subsequent volume.
I absolutely love the miraculous series and I'm a big fan of the whole storyline. That being said, this manga is the exact same story as season one of the show. And yes it is still very fun to read story and look at the drawings. Cause I absolutely love the art style! But I honestly hoped the manga would have it's own separate story, just like the movie did. Which was a little bit disappointing...
Overal the manga was a quick and fun read and I did enjoy it a lot! 3,5 stars from me!
That was really cute, but the show is much better. Most of it was similar (except the last chapter was completely different from the episode), but I also felt like this story lacked heart if that makes sense. It lacked the spark that made you root for Adrien and Marinette to eventually end up together. Not just between them though. Pretty much everything felt super flat to me.
A manga format of one of my favorite shows? Yes please :) The manga follows the show pretty closely. I also love the translation notes. It’s nice to see the differences between Japanese, English and French of cat noir’s and ladybug’s catchphrases.
AMAZING. my fav show + I LOVE the character development in the series! bro we waited 8 yrs for adrienette and they took 9 months like what huh. if this show dosent end without a proper reveal of their identities im quitting the fandom .
Thank you to Koma Warita, Kodansha Comics and Netgalley for a complimentary e-arc of this manga in exchange for a review.
This book was such a hit of nostalgia for me - I really loved the Miraculous Ladybug series and it was great to revisit the first couple of episodes again in manga format. The art was cute and suited the style of the series well, but ultimately I felt this was just a little too rushed in its execution and ultimately just left me wanting to watch the series instead for a more accurate depiction. The little extra comics after the main chapters were cute, but I wish there had been more original content in this manga and it sadly just left me wanting more and more.
Cute for anyone wanting a taster of what the Miraculous Ladybug series is like but ultimately just more of the highlights then anything too substantial.
The art style is so cute in comparison to the show, so anime coded. The villains portrayed are soooo much cooler but hawkmoth is literally so dramatic - like calm down lol second hand embarassment. The ladybug transformation SLAYS and tikki is so freaking adorable and sassy. The ladynoir scenes are so cute I could cry. I miss them so much.
