She’s through playing it safe…

Men in Blue, Book 4

Waiting. Watching.

Jambrea was patient long enough. After nearly ten years pining over a man with whom she’d spent a single night, her job set her on a collision course with two sexy cops who turned her head…and ignited her passion.

More agonizing. Debating.

When it became clear that Matt and Clint would never admit to the bisexual attraction making an equilateral relationship possible, she couldn’t choose a favorite. So she had to turn away and move her life forward—without them. Jambrea approaches Mistress Lily and Master Jeremy to arrange a wild night at their sex club—never expecting her friends would pull a bait and switch.

Time’s up.

Just when happily ever after dangles within reach, it becomes clear someone has Jambrea in their crosshairs. Is it one of her lovers’ old cases coming back to haunt them, or a ghost from her military past? One thing’s for certain. Now that they’ve made the leap, they’d better learn to soar…or they’ll all crash together.

The Men in Blue have handcuffs and they’re not afraid to use them. On their woman, or each other. Be naughty, if you must. Maybe they’ll come for you next!

I was feeling kind of slutty and thought I'd give this a whirl. I was hoping for lots of sex that would send me into a tizzy but the sex was kind of lame, the girl got on my nerves and the dudes were strangely emo and wooden. Also, barely any crossing the streams and what there was was weird.

Honestly, IDEK why I finished it. The verbiage is so... weird. Do people really talk like this? Act like this? *squints* Never mind. I don't want to know.

Hm .... After reading this story I was a bit disappointed. I couldn't feel the deep love between them and even sparks were sometimes a bit hard to believe in.
Especially the POVs of the men came too short and their problems with their feelings for each other disappeared within two sentences ... Or so it seemed to me

Nevertheless I think I will try another book in this series. After that I have to decide if I want to give this author a chance or not

I read this while on vacation about a few weeks back, so I'm struggling to remember many details to write a full review.

But I can say this was my favorite in the series so far. The story sucked me in from the very beginning. I loved Jambrea's character. She was strong, feisty, just everything I love in a heroine. Matt and Clint were amazing as well. And when they finally gave into the chemistry between them? Scorching!

I found myself tearing up at a few parts.

Loved catching up with all the characters from the last books. Can't wait for more Men in Blue.

I've been looking forward to Clint, Matt and Jambrea's book and I enjoyed it but it wasn't quite as good as precious in series.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I was beyond excited to read and review Spread Your Wings by Jayne Rylon. Spread Your Wings is the fourth book in her Men in Blue series. I had read, and loved, the first three so I had some very high expectations. Not surprisingly, Ms. Rylon and this book far exceeded them.

Spread Your Wings tells the story of nurse Jambrea and cops Matt and Clint. Matt and Clint are part of a group of cop friends referred to as the Men in Blue. In book three the group worked together to bring down a drug dealer who was targeting the BDSM community. Matt and Clint met Jambrea and were instantly attracted to her but something was holding them back. Jambrea is interested in the two men, but doesn’t want to choose just one. Months later, Jambrea is tired of waiting for the two men to make a move so she decides to force the issue. She is determined to get her own happy ending.

I really enjoyed Spread Your Wings because after reading the whole series, I have grown to truly care about these people. All of the characters in the Men in Blue series are like old friends that I am excited and happy to revisit. Jambrea is the type of heroine I can relate to. She is unsure of herself as a woman, doubting her ability to attract the interest of men such as Matt and Clint. She is a tall, statuesque woman amidst tiny pixies. But it’s her huge heart and kind soul that radiates beauty to all who know her. Matt and Clint are best friends, partners, who don’t know quite how to handle the sudden physical attraction between them or their desire for the same woman.

One of the many reasons that I love Ms. Rylon’s writing and this series in particular, is that she hasn’t sacrificed storyline for sex. She manages to give enough focus on the intrigue and mystery that you are absorbed into the story and don’t want to put it down. And in Spread Your Wings, Ms. Rylon provided the reader with an interesting mystery involving Jambrea’s first love. On the down side though, when the mystery was resolved so quickly and easily, it was a bit anticlimactic. With such a great buildup, I guess I wanted more.

I got plenty of hot and steamy sex scenes. Ms. Rylon writes sex scenes with so much creativity and heat that the scenarios she has written often appear in my own fantasies. There is so much description it is easy to picture myself as the heroine. In Spread Your Wings, I wanted nothing more than to be the filling in a Matt and Clint sandwich. The love that each man had for Jambrea was evident in their every touch. The tension that Matt and Clint felt as they learned to deal with their feelings to each other just added another layer of interest. It was also a pleasant change to read about two men who had never shared a woman before and watch how they learned to work together to best please the woman they loved.

Spread Your Wings can be read as a standalone book without losing any of the plotline or romance. However, if you are a loyal fan who has read the entire series, Ms. Rylon rewards your loyalty by making sure that the characters from the first three books are an important part of this story. It’s wonderful to see the couples from the previous books and how their relationships have evolved. More interesting characters were introduced or showcased more than in previous books, so I am hoping that means more books in the series. Just please don’t make us wait as long!

5 STARS

Spread Your Wings by Jayne Rylon has been a book that many of us have been not so patiently waiting for. I fell in love with this series with series from book one, and that book has been one of my all-time faves ever since. But this new one just may have surpassed my love for that one.

Jambrea has live a life of almost nun like spinster, except the one night she got to have the man of her dreams, only to never see him again. A part of her has held out hope for the possibility of him coming back for the last 10 years. But after a truly hot night with the two cops that have taken over her fantasy life lately. She has been hoping for a future with them. But when they totally shut down the very next day, it makes it hard to once again be hoping for the life of her dreams and not be able to have it. She is finally fed up with waiting on her life to start, so she approaches Mistress Lily to set her up with two guys to give her the fantasy she has been longing for.

Matt and Clint have been have been partners for years, but refuse to admit to the bisexual attraction that has grown between them. This denial may cause them the true happiness that they could have with Jambrea together. But when her past puts her life in danger, they will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe. Being thrown together in such close quarters, could get them to finally all three admit the attractions they have for each other. But could this lead to their HEA??

This book is full of greatness. It had every one of my emotions involved. From pulling at my heart to sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. The chemistry between these three is just so explosive you can feel it coming off the page. I love how they break down each other’s walls, and build a love that is beyond strong. Who says love has to be conventional, or follow the bounds of what society says is normal? These three are beautiful together! I can’t wait to read more from this series, and to see what else Jayne has up her sleeves for us!!

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever, and it didn't disappoint in the least! Matt and Clint were deliciously sexy and Jambrea is just such a sweetheart. These guys definitely have a rocky road to falling in love, but I enjoyed the ride. You will laugh, cry, and your heart will melt with these guys for sure. :)

Other than the fact that I waited a week to review this (whoops)... and also other than the fact that it felt rather cliche using one of my favorite poems as a theme of the book... this wasn't bad.

I had issues with it of course.
1)Jambrea is such a stupid name. <-Because of that name, I actually was not looking forward to reading this one. *shrugs* I'm sure it's a fine name, and I'm sure anyone with that name (such as one of the author's besties who is also another writer) is a fine person.. but I personally just can't stand the name. It also didn't fit with the personality or physical description of the character. (Also doing a search, it doesn't show up in name databases as a real name.)

2) The quote. Self-Pity by D.H. Lawrence. One of my favorite quotes since I was about 13. Later, made very famous by a hot actor I love (Viggo Mortensen), in a movie about a female solider. Hmmm geee. I wonder where the author got the inspiration?? I think she watched G.I. Jane a little too much while writing this book. It felt cliched and tacky given the patriotic and ex-military tone of this book.

3) I cannot under any circumstance understand why the main character Jambrea would have stayed nearly a virgin for 9 years. (Having only had sex once) Pining after a man she met once? (while convincing herself that she wasn't even thinking about him) I know nurses. I know women (happen to be one of those).. there is just... wow. I couldn't do it and I really don't think any real person unless they were fugly and couldn't get a date. It was just a way to make the main character feel more sympathetic and make a connection that didn't exist between her and the character of John.

Which brings us to...
4)John. Super spy type man... Only he's supposed to be Jambrea's age/just slightly older than her. Which means he is early to mid twenties. Uhhuh. Right. 'super spy'. Riiiiiiight. Had he even just been Delta Recon, or a young Seal, I would have bought it more than Super Spy. (Agencies don't even start recruiting until College, and generally even then the training would have been 5+ years on top of university graduation. So he would have been in his 30s at least)

5)The sex... hmm.. Just... well... I understand why it was a bit repetitive. Matt is supposed to be a big man, which generally meant he should go second. But there was no deviation from that, he was always second. It kind of bugged me.

6)Mistress Lily... suddenly getting married to Jeremy meant she lost all her brains that she supposedly had?? Drama for drama's sake.

7)The baddie wasn't surprising at all.

But those are the little details that bugged me. Otherwise I did actually enjoy this one. I think I actually enjoyed it more than the whole Sex Offender story arc from the last two books.

I love the Men in Blue series by author Jayne Rylon and I've been looking forward to reading Jambrea, Clint and Matt's story in Spread Her Wings. The thing that made this book so much fun to read is that this story was written for and starred another author I adore, Jambrea Jo Jones, as the heroine who captured the heart of two sexy cops - damn lucky woman. LOL!!!

Jambrea doesn't give her heart easily to a man after all these years, the memory of her first time with an unattainable man still haunts her and leaves her looking for love. Luckily for her, she has two very sexy cops and partners willing and ready to finally make her theirs, if only they could figure out the sudden attraction they feel towards each other after a shared kiss *sigh*

I adored Jambrea, she was strong, kind-hearted and loved unconditionally. I could feel her longing for the man in her past and and her determination to finally get Clint and Matt to act on their feelings for her. I cheered her on as she attempted to move on albeit unsuccessfully with Lily's help...that sneaky Mistress. Hehehe!

I loved how protective and tender Clint and Matt treated Jambrea in and out of the bedroom. All three of them together set the sheets on fire! OMG! I could not get enough and Jambrea, you are one sexy, desirable lady who had these two men on their knees to please you :)
I enjoyed the closeness Clint and Matt shared and you could tell it went deeper than just friendship. I couldn't wait for them to explore their attraction to each other and Jambrea made it possible for them to do that without any judgment.

It was so much fun to visit with all the gang again and see the friendship and support they gave one another. Jayne never fails to deliver a sexy, emotional and thrilling story that has readers riveted until the last page. I am dying to read Lucas and Ellie's story next in this series.

That was so good - lots of emotion wrapped up in lots if hot sex! We've met the characters before, they were supporting players with a few highlights, but mostly supportive of the main players. They are front and centre here and they play things out a little different than those that came before, which is why this series is amazing, no two stories the same
Jambrea is a nurse and Clint and Matt are partners on the police force. They have been dancing around each other for months, and while Jambi thought things had finally started moving forward a few months ago, everything seems to be stalled again, and she has had it!
The story really is about self-discovery, as Jambrea, Matt and Clint figure out why and how they fit and relate to each other, and all three move past what has come before them. In Jambi's case, it is how to weave the past with the future. This is where the story is unique and I truly enjoyed the different approach and play it took. John is woven into Jambrea's life, and Matt and Clint, well mostly Matt at first, accept and and honour that for her,and for them
Have tissues, this has all sorts of sad and happy tears to shed, it is a very emotional story, but luckily there is lots and lots of hot and smexy scenes to keep you entertained as well!

I loved this book. I love this series. I am never disappointed when I read a Jayne Rylon book. In Spread Your Wings we have two male cops who are partners and best friends and a female (Jambrea), a nurse, who has lusted after these two for quite some time. Jambrea is a tough cookie in a good way and an innocent - which is surprising and refreshing. She, Matt and Clint keep fumbling the relationship for so many reasons. Jambrea held onto a first love for ten years and Matt and Clint had recently discovered they were attracted to each other. Spread Your Wings gives us the path they follow to resolving and acting on Matt and Clint's attraction and the love the two men have for Jambrea and she for them. Of course this path is rocky before it gets smooth with suspense thrown in. The only regret I have about this book is Jambrea's first love - John. What a character he would have made.

I fell in love with these people and the storyline. Even more so in Jeremy and Lily's story.

I like Jambrea, Matt & Clint as characters overall, but there were parts where it seemed a bit forced.
The story line was pretty good, but the suspense and baddie reveal was not as spectacular as other volumes. I am looking forward to Wounded Hearts, Ellie and Lucas's story, which is due out in April 2015 - followed by Bound for You, Shari's story with Ben and Ryan, due in November of 2015.

4.5 rating - I do not wish to write any spoilers for this book. One part really got to me to the point of me shedding tears because it was so moving. I will let it go like this. I am positive that a next book will be added to this series maybe even two. I am looking forward to them if Jane decides to write them. I love the Men in Blue series!

Love this series

The Men in Blue are back. Another installment of sex and suspense. This book had more suspense than sex but it was about Matt, Clint and Jambi getting used to the three of them together and how it all works. Well they make it work alright! Yummy times 2! Great lead in to the next book too. Ms Rylon you never fail me.

Great book can read as a stand alone or continuation

Jayne doesn't disappoint two alpha men in blue hero's and a kick a$$ former Army medic turned nurse burn up the pages while trying to uncover the danger that surrounds the woman they claim as their own. Can't wait to confirm see where the stories lead.

Good, didn't quite come together as well as books 1-3. I did enjoy watching the relationship between the two evolve from friendship to lovers. And I enjoyed the goodness of the heroine.

The story had a lot going on, and since it was the 4th in the series, it is obvious that things happened in previous books that was brought out enough that you could follow the storyline. The characters were likeable and there was a mystery/suspense element to the story.

I really liked it! It was a book full of hurt, love, and action... I don't k is about you but I really like the combination!! Throw in to the mix two hunky protective men and the deal is sealed for me!
With the narration I had a bit of a problem but the book was so good that I ignored it... For me(and I do not want to colour your opinions) it was a bit wooden and.... I don't know I didn't like it that much... But again the writing was so damn good that I didn't even heard the parts that I didn't like for most of the book... I was too caught up in the story that I didn't cared!
Have fun with this one guys!

I don't like reading about women who are indecisive or who like to play games and Jambrea's character is that type of woman. Its obvious that she wants Clint and Matt, fine they f*ck up like two or three times but once they step up she tries to act like she doesn't want them. And we all know she does. Stop playing these freaking games and just man up already. I liked the Jambrea that opened up the book, the one that saved all those soldiers, the one that risked her life to save a spy, the tough one! Not the Jambrea who takes over ten years later, that chick is just damn pitiful...

I don't understand her reasoning, the whole scene that Lily set up, not that big of a deal, the guys did it because they wanted to be with her, yet she acts like they tortured her goldfish or something. Yet she pines for some guy over a one night stand for close to ten years, even though he told her there could never be anything between them! Are you kidding me! (Not to downplay John's character..I was very saddened by what happened to him..but he was honest with her...she was just a dumbass)

Oh and what's the deal with her always getting carried everywhere, don't her damn legs work? I swear its like every scene either Clint or Matt is picking her up to carry her. Its cute and sweet for a man to do that once in a while, its borderline stupidity for two men to do it nearly 24/7 to a woman who supposedly has military training...

I did enjoy reading about the budding relationship between the two men, baby steps is important in a relationship of that importance, and eventually the whole triad. Actually the best part of the book was the last chapter and then the epilogue. I am really looking forward to reading Lucas story and what was that all about with Ben, Ryan and Shari?.....hmmmmmmm

(FYI: You may notice I do not have reviews for the first three books in this series, rest assured I have read them, I just happen to purchase them in print before receiving my NOOK HD+ device as a gift. At some point during the future I'll write a short review after adding them to my 'read' shelf)
