This funny and charming romance that tells the story of three twenty-something friends and how they cope with the trials and tribulations of life; always finding comfort and loyalty in each other.
Charlotte is scatty and engaging and after having her heart broken 3 years earlier by cheating, Capri driving, Grant she's now looking for love again believing that finding Prince Charming will make her life complete; but is the arrogant but frustratingly sexy Irishman, Niall Devine, that man?
Bets is the glamorous good-time girl and beauty salon owner who secretly yearns to settle down. She is the life and soul of the party with plenty of notches on her bedpost but since flirting with hunky Stuart all summer she wonders if he may be the one that she finally commits to.

My ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when I started writing poetry at school, and was given the honour of reading one out to the rest of my year group (an horrific experience that I will never forget). Thankfully I have a wide variety of strange and wonderful people in my life, otherwise I'd be stuck on what to write about! I am currently talking to family and friends, finding out their innermost secrets in readiness for my next book.
My books are romances that come with a little more than vanilla sexy times, sometimes a few tears, lots of hot men and feisty women, but ultimately they'll make you smile.

Although I read it , it's not a book I'd recommend. Too long winded and not funny or believable

Since my first Nikki Ashton book, Roman’s Having Sex Again, I have happily jumped into each new release the moment I have been able to get my hands on it. As I’m nearing my tenth Nikki Ashton read, I decided it was time to take a step back and read one of her earlier books. I’ve been meaning to for quite some time, and as Guess Who I Pulled Last Night? was sitting on my Kindle, I decided it was time to dive in.
I’m going to be completely honest and say this was my least favourite of my Nikki Ashton reads. It was enjoyable, but it did not wow me in the way other Nikki Ashton books have. With this one, I felt as though things were a bit on the slow side, we were following too many things, and it did not have the same level of humour as I’ve come to expect from Nikki Ashton.
Although I wasn’t as crazy about it as I had hoped to be, I feel as though this book really picked up towards the end. The way things came together was really enjoyable, leaving me feeling extremely content with all that happened. I simply feel as though it took longer to reach that point than I would have liked.
Overall, this one was enjoyable enough, but I would not label it my favourite Nikki Ashton read.

This was such a cute story. I loved how it focused on each friend in a group of three and their individual stories while also focusing on their friendships together. They all went through hard times for one reason or another, but the one thing they could always rely on was their friends. There were some brilliantly funny conversations, laugh out loud moments, and some weepy moments, too. Some difficult topics were dealt with with great sensitivity and not merely exploited for the sake of entertainment. I'm starting to love this lady's words and I'll definitely be working my way through all of her books! <3

Once you get past the various gaps in the beginning of the plot in the narration, it becomes very entertaining to read. Maybe instead of "gaps" I should write jumps, as the author almost literally jumps from one character to another right in the middle of introducing them.
Excluding that, this book isn't really any different from other chick-lit stories, featuring three characters and their struggles to find love or keep the one they've got.

I finished 'Guess Who I Pulled Last Night' late last night and went to sleep with a contented smile. I do love a good love story and I have thoroughly enjoyed this one. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't been warm and fuzzy all the way through. It certainly has it's fair share of drama and heartache.
I really warmed to many of the characters and found myself willing things to turn out well for them so they could have their happy ending. Three 30 something girlfriends, so different, but as close as sisters and all trying to deal with their own issues.
Kerry is married to Kelvin and they have a little girl together. Usually full of life, Kerry hasn't been herself more recently. Not even she knows why and everyone is worried about her, but they don't know what to do for the best.
Charlotte has had her heart broken in the past and has struggled to move on, but has built herself a successful career. When Niall Devine walks into the office they clash immediately, but do they really dislike each other.
Bets owns her own beauty salon and has no problem attracting the opposite sex. She's convinced herself she's happy with no-strings flings, but is she really. When she meets Stuart she is shocked by how strongly she feels for him in such a short time and starts to believe that he may be the one.....
This story tackles some difficult issues with sensitivity including depression and grief, but is also very amusing in parts. The author is obviously very fond her characters as they are written with such care and understanding. I'm sure most of us are lucky enough to share friendships like Bets's, Charlotte's and Kerry's so they are very relatable. I have to say though that I think Tom is my favourite.
This is my first Nikki Ashton book, but it won't be my last!

I think a lot of people didn't get this story, no it's not your alpha male meets girl etc, its a beautiful story of friendship between three friends and their struggle with their lives and love lives.
Charlotte had her heart broken before and wasn't about to have it happen again but the chemistry between her and Niall was there from the start although neither of them would admit to it, their story has lots of ups and downs, laughter and tears but beautifully written.
Kerry has depression after having her daughter but too headstrong to admit it, so she pushes her husband Kelvin and her friends away as she knows best, but after something happens to her she realises that she needs help and things get better for her and her marriage.
Bets is a one-night stand girl but when she finally falls for someone he goes and gets killed, she feels like everyone that gets close to her dies, until she finds unexpected love when not looking for it.

This was pretty good for chick-lit. In fact, it is a push for me to class it as chick-lit because it was so different to the usual stuff. Yes there was the stereotypical evil woman, but she barely appeared - instead she was mentioned which was refreshing. You also have the inclusion of two 'evil' me - usually you'll only get one, but the inclusion of two works here given that the plot is split between three women.
However, the story is still rather obvious - I guessed two of the three major plot events ( quite early on, but the tale was still enjoyable to get to those points.
I will say I was quite surprised to have the inclusion of a woman suffering (most likely) from post-natal depression, it is a topic that is considered almost taboo to mention so I thought the use of it here was quite interesting... whether it is accurate I cannot say but it was used to good effect.

This books reminds me of fun time with my friends.
It tells the story of three girls and outlines how the bond if friendship can help you through anything.

I absolutely adored this book!!!! It is about 3 friends who have had their far share of ups and downs in throughout their lives, the emotions you will feel reading this are so real!!!! It’s even a little tearful in some parts, I can’t praise this book enough

Great read
Slow to start until you got into the characters, but I really enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to read it and find out what was happening.

Loved it
I love the smart, witty writing style of Nikki Ashton. Her characters are regular people with real life problems. The issues Kerry deals with are totally relatable and I found myself recognising the things I had done and said that I didn't acknowledge at the time of my own experience. Very sympathetically written.
I love that there are three main characters. The story flits between their intertwined lives seamlessly and doesn't leave you wanting more of one than the other. All great characters.
This is the second time I've read this as I'm making my way back through all of Nikki Ashton's novels...... Ashamed to say I didn't review any the first time. They really are too good not to! I can't wait to reacquaint myself with the rest of them

Good grief
Only got as far as chapter 3. Could no longer take the appalling grammar. Please learn how to use the comma correctly. The style of writing reminded me of stories I used to write as a teenager.

I enjoyed this book. Really uplifting and heartwarming.
I like Nikkis style of writing, I find it so clear to read and I could picture each person and scenario vividly

I picked this up cheaply on kindle because it was in the top ten sellers list and I'm trying to read a wider selection of fiction in the hope of making my own stories better by reading and observing.
The story itself was interesting, and I can see a real human angle on it. There are three friends in their 30s dealing with quite different life outcomes and trying to deal with their own traumas. It's a sort of condensed soap opera of a book, and I can see why that might well attract a lot of readers looking for a bit of escapism by reading about how others have more problems than they do.
The characters are reasonably well developed, and there is a growth in the course of the story, however I didn't really empathise that much with them. Also I'm not that into the whole soap opera thing and so I didn't enjoy it that much. However that is down to me and my preferences for stories rather than anything to do with the author.
If you like soap opera style stories then this might float your boat.

I absolutely loved this book. It had everything in it to capture my attention. The girls friendship was beautifully portrayed. I was laughing and sniffling throughout. Well written with real to life characters and a great plot. I'm excited to read more from Nikki Ashton.

Love this book couldnt put it down i loved the friendship ov the 3 best friends , even if sumtimes its rocky but what a book ,Some really funny bits but then some real emotions , could av knocked the girls sumtimes with sum sence lol Love, Tears, Laughter, Pain, Shock

Proofreading essential

Early book written by Nikki, not as good as some of her newer stuff but I still enjoyed the story, it didn't have me as hooked as some I have read. I did enjoy the relationship between the girls and the story they told.

Really enjoyed storyline, typical chick lit knowing who is getting with who, still worth reading. Loved the friendship between the girls. Only downside was spelling and grammar
