Novella, not sure how I obtained this book, but came across it and started reading it last night. Not my thing, didnt like how the brother was treated, that was weird. Didnt like how the main character took advantage of his hosts, that was messed up.

Beautifully written and took me back home to my homeland. Even though the era written about is before my time, it's my mums time and I grew up on stories from her evacuee times.
It was lovely and sweet and innocent with those teenage experiences.
