Congratulations on your acceptance to the Apprentice Academy, one of the world’s finest institutions for knightly education. Your course of study here will prepare you for a career as a knight, samurai, Viking, or really any type of sword-swinging warrior. Swinging a sword is inherently dangerous, but this guide will help you complete your education while minimizing the twin risks of 1. getting maimed and 2. working too hard.
Learn how • Fight people! • Fight dragons! • Fight monsters! • Fight everything else! • Die honorably! • And more!
Please follow all instructions carefully. If you go off on your own and try something silly, and then get your head chopped off of your body bitten in two, don’t start drafting a letter of complaint. You had fair warning.
I don't think Hal Johnson is a very unusual sort of a guy. He's just — well, the average American citizen and family man, the kind that are the backbone of the nation. I admire him and like him. I like his attitude. Until, that is, he gets behind the wheel of an automobile. At that point he changes. He changes from a careful, considerate citizen — to a menace.
My son is obsessed with knights and so I bought this book thinking it would be fun to read with him.
However it is full of words and language that I as an adult found difficult to read. There is very little images or illustrations to hold the interest of a younger reader.
I’m not sure what age this is targeted at but unfortunately I think this book has missed the target audience for this subject matter.
While it does have lots of interesting information and facts about knights it is not delivered in a user friendly way.
