This isn't exactly a review. It's more my way of saying goodbye to this series.

Me: Whoa! That ride was exactly the same as my last ride.

Conductor: Hhhm... Maybe you are riding it wrong.

Me: Nope. I'm pretty sure there's no alternative way to ride "The Arrangement" roller coaster. I think I'm getting off.

Conductor: But, but. Wait! Maybe just one more ride?

Me: Sorry, but I only got one ticket left. I think I'm going to spend it on a friendlier ride.

Conductor: But think about how much fun you had riding "The Arrangement".

Me: Yeah, I remember that the fun lasted for a few minutes and then you left me hanging upside down for weeks! I could have died!

Conductor:...

Me: So I gotta go. See ya. Or maybe not.

Conductor: You are making a big mistake! The best is yet to come.

Me: You told me that 5 rides ago.

Conductor: You won't ever know then. You are getting off. Remember? Everybody else will have fun without you.

Me: Listen, I've done this before. I didn't finish riding the "50 Shades of crazy" ride. And I'm fine. I'm a rebel. I will be ok. *walks towards the sunset singing I will survive*

Ok, I'm officially done with this series. It sucked. What a waste of money!
What happened in this volume? A whole lot of frickin nothing!
I finally got to the point that I don't really care what happens at the end. All I know is Avery is the biggest idiot and so am I for starting this series.
Each book is such a teaser of what's to come and then you get sucked into buying the next one to find out what happens in this soap opera. At this point it's book 7 and then you finally get tired of the same shit.
I don't recommend this series and I wish I hadn't started it!
Perhaps the author should finish writing this and putting it out as a whole book rather than these lame ass volumes each month! I feel like its cheating unsuspecting readers out of their hard earned money. How much will we have to pay by the time she's done? $30 and up? That's more than a good hardcover book and this definitely isn't worth it!

This series just gets better and better. We finally get to know Sean in this volume. It is all about him and Avery. I have been looking forward to a volume like this since it started! I love these two together, even if their relationship is kind of toxic. This volume focuses on the two days that Sean gets with Avery. Well, I guess the ones he purchased. Oh and we get to find out what naughty things Sean likes to do. This volume is a little more graphic but, in a good way! It is sexual but, more so psychological I mean come on, we all knew by this point that Sean would like messed up stuff. It was perfect in my opinion and I was glad to hear it was being left in it!! Will Avery and Sean give a relationship a try? Will Black let Avery out if she wants to?

I loved that we got to know Sean and how he tics. We find out more of what happened to his wife and how she died. This all happens right away which is great. We also find out that Sean has siblings. One in particular that will make your jaw drop and your eye balls pop out of your head. Yup, its just like that. I thought the romance was really good. Avery doesn't want to push Sean into her kind of relationship which is huge for her. She loves him so much. I hope it will be enough.

Ok, with the huge revelations brought to light in this volume I honestly don't know what is going to happen. Sean's family member changes everything. What does he want? What will happen now that we know who it is??? I don't know!! I really really want to though. I have a feeling Sean and Avery's story is just beginning. Bring it on I say!

Well, Here we are again for another installment of the ongoing soap opera. This brief booklet contains some happiness for both Avery and Sean for about half the book and then we learn why Sean is as broken as he is and why he needs to be in control. This episode ends with Sean reuniting with his younger brother Pete who has changed his name from Ferro to Dr. Peter Granz. It was a good addition to the story, not all of it dark. Avery is able to get him to laugh and smile and relax and be closer to his original self. It's brief, but it is there. They reconfirm their love of each other. On to expensive pamphlet 8

I think this may be the most boring one out of all of the arrangement series. Don't get me wrong, it was still a really great read but it didn't live up to the others, in my opinion.

Since the very beginning we have been waiting to hear Sean's secrets and what really happened regarding his wife and child. I had my assumptions, and after #6 we had a bit more of a clue but I actually felt disappointed in what was the truth. It felt like such a huge build up to something not quite as shocking as I expected.
"I'm not your savior, Avery. There's no knight, no horse, no happy ending - not with me. That shit isn't real."

As you can see, Sean is still struggling with his feelings in the beginning. No matter what Avery says and how much she tries to force Sean in to seeing they could have something beautiful together, he is just too closed off. I'm still liking Avery, although her job situation is starting to irritate me. She so desperately wants her and Sean to have a life together but she isn't willing to bend to accommodate his wants and needs too. In the sense of giving up her job with Black..
"No one saved me. I've fallen so far that I can't see the way out anymore. I'm at the bottom of Hell and I found you."

The author mentioned in the blurb that there was a more shocking scene than we are used to in this instalment but I didn't think it was so bad. Perhaps I just used to darker reads these days but I felt it was a really important scene to include. We know Sean has his issues and we know that he has certain needs and wants when it comes to his sex life. He needs control. There is a scene here where it demonstrates that in a really strong way but after that, we get the total opposite and it was just so interesting to see both sides to Sean.
"I want you so broken that you can't trust yourself. I want you to give all of yourself to me."

I do love this series.. I really do but I am having a hard time wanting to continue it. I love Sean and Avery's story but I'm beginning to feel as if we are going through unnecessary stuff with these two. I don't want to end up being invested in a series that is being dragged out for no reason. All good things must come to an end and I think this one is getting there.

I was afforded an ARC directly from Ms. Ward herself in exchange for an honest review!

Too say I loved this latest volume better then all the rest would be a very accurate statement!

I'd like to start with; even though we've been told that this is pretty graphic I can't agree with her editor in this case. I guess because the genre that I like to read I felt the scene was a lot less then where my mind went to. I've read a lot of novels and this scene was extremely toned down. It could have used a bit more in my opinion. It was kinky, with That's for sure... Hehe

I thought all along that's how things happened with his wife! Without giving anything away to spoil for others! I was very pleased with this revelation.

I was elated when the two of them were together and being "themselves"! It was so beautiful. I hope it can improve for both of their sakes. I was team Henry for a minute there, I think I banged my head during that time too. *giggle

I fear for Avery with Black! That woman is psycho... I hope she can get around things. Especially since she will have to move things forward!! Scary!

Can't wait to explore more of these volumes I'm even more excited then I have been. I loved it!

*Update* OMG, you're totally amazing! Love this even more now!

Received the ARC and I'm glad I did because I would have been upset had I paid for it. I actually found myself skimming over pages so I could hurry up and finish the book. I was bored! I feel like every book is the same until the last page when you're left with a cliffhanger. No different with book 7! I think I am finished with this series.

When Avery is stressed or freaked out, she goes to talk to her parents at the cemetery. She just chats with them hoping to figure things out. While visiting the last tangible thing she has left of them, she sees Sean standing at another grave site. What Avery learns is Sean's hidden secret. She isn't prepared to hear what he confesses because it is so much worse than anything she could have imagined. Hearing the confession only draws Avery closer to Sean & she wants to hold onto the good she sees in him. She is willing to make a deal with Sean to show him he is more than his tormented memories of the past.

Oh my gosh, this series has grabbed a hold of me and won't let go.
My one and only complaint is that each book is a little over 100 pages and this series is going to go beyond ten books.
They should not be going for $2.99 each!!
Just had to bitch for a moment.

In this book we learn that Amanda died a violent death.
It was reported in the tabloids that Sean shot her to death.
Avery does not believe it.
She knows Sean is hiding something but he tells her that he's not ready to talk about what happened to Amanda.

He has confessed his love for Avery and that he does not want to share her with any other man.
He wants her to leave Miss Black.
He'll support her.
Avery's not on board with taking charity from him.
His plan for his two days with her is to convince her to stay with him.

He also wants to have sex his way.
The kind which involves scaring the shit out of Avery and making her surrender completely to him.
I, at this point, almost lost the love for Sean, because what he made Avery go through this time was way harsh.
All was not what it seemed...thank god!

"I want all of you, in every way. I want to own you. I want you to plead with me, to crawl to me on your hands and knees and beg me to take you. I want you to surrender to me, to my wants, and give me anything and everything."

When Sean starts to feel like Avery is getting too close, he pushes her away or makes it a point to remind her that he is not a normal guy. He is a shell of the man he used to be. He needs to feel in control. He needs to feed off her fear, sexually, to feel alive. He wants her to know he is not her white knight.

"I believe in white knights, but the only knight in this story is me. No one saved me. I've fallen so far that I can't even see the way out anymore. I'm at the bottom of Hell and I found you." . --Avery

I live the life where no one comes and the heroine is left utterly alone

I love when these two go out to the park to go snow sledding.
They are so adorable together.
So playful.
They can make each other laugh and the stuff that haunts them is gone during these precious moments.
It is in these times, you have hope that these two can make it through together!!!

I can see old laugh lines on his face. He must have been happy at one point. The fine lines around the corners of his eyes and mouth are ghostly reminders of the man he used to be. I wonder if he's still in there. Sometimes I feel so lost, like I'm so far gone that I'll never be happy again. Then things like this happen, and Sean is laughing more than I would have thought possible.

This book ends with the two aging dinner with Sean's younger brother Pete.
Pete has asked Sean to lend him his gun.
Avery wants to quit her job...sounds like Miss Black will not let that happen.

Roll On Book 8!!!! :)

Ya well, actually this series annoying. The pattern technically the same like the previous books. It didn't give me enthusiasm to read this books. I can even grab my head around this books.
Because of the well writing style I give it 2,5 stars.

GRRR! As much as I don't want Sean and Avery's story to end I am a little torn up that this was not the last book. I know, crazy right? I want more but I want the series wrapped up. Well first, I want Sean and Avery to have their HEA. I want her to chase away the ghosts of his past and I want him to put her back together again. Simple right?

They are both consumed by the dark that creeps in but will they find enough light to lead them out of their own desperation? Will Avery be the one to give Sean what he needs to bring him back. To show him that control in the bedroom does not extend to control in life? Is there hope?

Part 7 starts off just where part 6 leaves off. Avery has asked the question. Did Sean murder his wife and unborn child. The story starts with her shock to his answer - yes. But there is more to it, she scans the articles he is not charged, he is acquitted of all involvement, but he still says he did it. That he caused it. This is the cause of him receding so far within himself that he may just be too lost to save. Avery won't let go, she won't run. She wants him to take what he needs from her. Even if it breaks her.

Oh, boy did my mouth hit the floor when he does things his way. But her fear of him taking it his way was her own fears. The fear of her giving him intimacy and love was shattering. He was so afraid to have something so close to what he lost. So gentle and caring - a battle of wills. The old Sean being suffocated by guilt. But he loves her. This balance might work until they are too broken to find a way to love each other.

The plan is still in place, she still has a job to do once her 2 days with Sean are up. But we don't get that far. Then we meet someone, if you are an HM Ward fan you will recognize his name from another story. This tie-in has me intrigued. Can't figure it out?? So the story ends with a TBC in part 8... Where she will learn more about their dinner guests and will have to either head off to her next 'date' or find away to get away from Ms. Black and stay with Sean.

I’m really invested in the series. It keeps twisting book to book that I have strong feelings about most of the characters.

Completely LOVED that this book was full Sean and Avery. Lots of truths, sex, D/s and laughs (that is usually minimal with these two).

I read somewhere that the editor wanted to tone down the explicit sex scene… It was delightful to see that didn’t happen. Sean is dark and deserves to have his story told as such. It would be a disservice to him to have it any other way.

I was very pleased that Sean finally decided to open up a bit and share his story. He did man-up in this one. Avery was a breath of fresh air in this book, more decisive, even if she wasn’t sure of where things will lead, she look forward and gave a real effort to accommodate Sean “needs”.

I was glad that this volume didn’t include Marty, which I still not sure how to feel about (that guy has serious problems) or Mel who is very dramatic. I love them both but Sean and Avery deserved their no interrupted weekend or truth would have never come out.

And the ending… It took me a minute to put the pieces together. I know that name… But it was from something else… What was it??? NO I’m sure it wasn’t from a previous The Arrangement Book, right??? But… OMG!!!! And the connection was made. No it’s not from any other book in this series, but close enough. I LOVED EVEN MORE… Now I’m more than looking forward for next installments in both series.

WHAT???? WHAT???!!!!

What the hell was that at the end?! Should I be surprised there was another cliffy? NO! But am I? HELL YES!
If you haven't read Damaged by H.M Ward then you'll miss the shocking significance of the info revealed!! What does this mean? WHAT???

I love this series so much! And finally, FINALLY, we see some real love and emotion between these two! I actually felt more hopeful than I have in a long time for Avery and Sean. There was major growth here and I loved it!!

But there still remains some major hurdles to cross. Can Avery give up working for Black? Will Black let her?! That is the major problem right now because Miss Black is a piranha! She's out for blood and I'm scared shitless what she'll do to Avery once she finds out all the stuff going on.

And Sean. Is he serious about what he wants from Avery? I sure as hell hope so! My heart mends only to break again with every novella, although this was a pleasant surprise. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mz. Ward, give me what I want! And I want my HEA!!

I am now SICK of this series!! They aren't even complete books. And for the $$ they aren't worth it. Each one takes me about 45 minutes to read.
Please if you are going to do a series of short stories, don't charge $2.99 on Amazon for each one. The "book" isn't even done yet and I've already spent $20.93.
I have enjoyed the characters, I just wish they were complete books and not a couple of chapters.
I enjoyed the format of Tiffany Snow's "Blank Slate". One flat rate and the book was released as a series on Amazon with each part arriving about once a month. It was great because I didn't know what was going to happen next, but I also didn't have to spend an arm and leg.
I've decided I don't care what happens to Sean and Avery, I'm done with them

This was an okay story, but it wasn’t a favourite from this series.

This story focused on Avery and Sean confessing things to each other basically, and while it was interesting to find certain things out, I did lose interest at points. (and I didn’t particularly find the sledding interesting either).

I also felt that Sean was a bit hypocritical in this book, he thinks its fine for him to have sex with prostitutes and dominate them, making them feel scared so that he can feel like he’s in control, but then he tells Avery that her desire to feel the cold is unhealthy! Really? Bit of a ‘pot calling kettle black’ moment there I think.

Holy Moley! Yay! so happy this cliffhanger wasn't too nerve wracking. Cool tie into Damages, that means we could read about Sean and Avery in the second book, right?

The sex scene was not that bad. I have read crazier scenes. But hey they finally did it again. As far as black goes, Sean might have to buy out her contract or maybe Avery and Mel can take down Black legally. finally a easy cliffhanger, cant wait for 8!

¿Debería estar sorprendida por ese final?

Sean tiene un hermano gemelo. Doble dosis de estupidez, drama innecesario y romance empalagoso. Maravilloso.

Audiobook Edition. Great narrator!

I enjoyed the attraction and suspense of the first 6 episodes. I've made it to #8 and I'm slowing down. Some of this is starting to make zero sense.

I've been advised to read in this order:

Damaged #1
Arrangement 1-7
Damaged #2
Arrangement 8-current

See original post Here

I received and ARC of this book for an honest review.

Before Reading:
I was so excited about reading Arrangement #7, especially after the ending in number six. I was dying to find out what happened and if Sean was telling the truth about the murders.

Plot:
Avery is shocked to hear Sean’s confession about what happened to his wife and daughter. She doesn’t know what to feel or believe. Everyone has been telling her time and time again that Sean’s not right in the head, that he’s dangerous, that he’ll be her down fall and now the words have come straight from Sean.

Too bad Avery thinks he’s full of crap. When she calls him on the lie the argument ends up with Avery tied to a bed and terrified. When the event is over Sean and Avery become even closer despite the odds and insane circumstances that keep being thrown at them.

Now that Sean’s secrets, lies, and darkest desires are laid out in the open for Avery to see she realizes she loves him even more than before. When everything seems to be getting better Sean gets a call from his brother and Avery gets a letter from Ms. Black that may end up bringing an end to everything Avery is trying to hold onto.

After Reading:
HOLY BLEEP! I freaking loved this short story. So freaking fantastic. The writing, the bow-chicka-wow-wow and all that was smoking hot, the humor and deep throbbing emotions were so awesome and made me love this amazing series even more. As always with H.M. Wards’s books the endings….well I was not happy the book ended where it did because as always I’m like “what’s next what’s next come on!!!” and as always the book ended leaving me guessing and using some choice words not suitable for children.

Sean and Avery’s relationship became even deeper which rocked and so did all the realizations each of them had about themselves and each other. Sean is even more breath taking and swoon worthy in this novel than any other and I was excited the book was mostly his and Avery.

Now I’m going to go crawl in a corner and die until The Arrangements #8 comes out!

I loved this one, I loved how they related to each other, the sledding trip was great, it was a joy reading them having fun again like they did when they flew the kite. I have to agree with my fellow book ladies Michelle and Neda the sex scene was mild, it might have seemed upsetting just because of Avery's own issues. I was really upset about the other man at first, what a twist, sneaky H.M. I knew there was something about his wife's death that wasn't really his fault but he would think it was but I have to admit my mind did not go with the scenario uncovered. I hate that Avery is trapped in this occupation, this doesn't make sense to me, why? I understand if she has to payback for the reserved spot Henry has but that should be it, I want her to be with Sean and let them explore their relationship and see where it can go. Now if this could not get any better then you add in the wonderful addition from the fantastic book Damaged, never saw that coming, I cannot wait to see what happens with this, the overlapping that could occur between the other parts of The arrangement and Damaged 2 could be fun, looking forward to the next installment and Damaged 2 keep up the great work. Loved it.

I think this was the best book of the 7 in The Arrangement series that I’ve read so far. But while I really liked it, it really bothered me too. This is supposed to line up with Damaged 2, Peter Ferro’s second book. In that book it was May and Peter and Sidney were talking about finals at college. In this book it’s still snowing and Sean and Avery are going sledding. That’s not happening in NYC in May. So that really ticked me off that the author can’t keep her stories straight.

Also, I kind of want to stop here. The whole Black storyline is messing everything up. I think if this keeps going, Sean and Avery are going to end up hating each other and damaging what they have. I think I’ll read the next installment to see how their visit with Peter and Sidney plays out in this book. But I anticipate more inconsistencies and that just makes me twitchy.
