"I don't want to be Jeremy Mason anymore. Jeremy Mason has hit rock bottom."

Where to start... *sigh*
This book is a short, dark, and intriguing read that put me through quite the emotional ringer. Being the masochist that I am, I actually read it in one sitting. Even though I was very tired and sleepy after a long, long day, I couldn't stop reading!!!
First off, this is a sequel, so you HAVE to read Tracks first. Trials picks up the story line like 2 years? after Tracks ended. Dylan is now in her third year of Law School, about to begin her internship.
"I understand that this moment is another trial for me - one I'm about to fail."

I really can't say much about the plot in Trials-- anything and everything will spoil it. I'm going to sound vague about certain things, but once you read the book, you'll completely understand. I have to admit, I wasn't Dylan's #1 fan in this book. I did feel bad for her, but she kept going back and forth...back and forth, regarding Jeremy, whom I loved since book one.
"My life, my mind...even my music is consumed by you." - Jeremy

The suspense in this book had me turning the pages wanting to see how Jeremy's case unraveled. Just when I thought things were looking up for him, BAM, something happened. There was one scene, at around 70% that just shattered me. It was, in my opinion, the most heart wrenching scene in the book. There was just so much emotion, passion, heart break.... *deep sigh* Like I said, it shattered me.
"My mind, my heart, my soul... it's all yours."

Even though I truly loved this book, I feel like there were a few scenes (mind you - they were like TWO) that might have been rushed...but maybe it's just me. Other than that, I think everything was right to point rather than dragged out, which is a major plus. I absolutely LOVED how Trials ended. I really enjoyed reading that final chapter and even more so, the Epilogue. I swooned a few times and ended up with a HUGE smile across my face.

If a book can evoke certain emotions out of you, then it usually means it's very well written. Trials did just that to me and more. After I finished reading it, I found myself sitting on my bed, going over certain scenes in my head.... re-living them.... letting it all blissfully sink in. This is why I'm giving Trials by Sarah Biermann 5 STARS. I recommend this series.
"It was a struggle to get here, but nothing wonderful is ever easy. Even if it's not perfect, it's still my version of heaven."

I was really excited about getting this book. I could not wait to see what was going to happen with Dylan and Jeremy. Sarah did not disappoint me at all.

I think I liked this one better than the first one in the series, Both Dylan and Jeremy have grown up a little.

Dylan is moving through life trying to be happy since everything that happened with Jeremy in Book 1. She is in a relationship with Scott, She does love him, but it is in a totally different way then she loves Jeremy. She is in her 3rd year of college with her law degree and just starting her internship with the District Attorney’s office. . Then a situation puts her back in Jeremy’s life.

I don’t want to ruin one ounce of this book for anyone, you need to get the full effect of it all to understand it all on your own.
I will say this it is not going to be an easy road for Dylan and Jeremy, there is a lot of things that come to the surface. Dylan is going to fight for what she feels is right. Jeremy is going to piss you off, maybe even Dylan will once or twice, BUT in the end it is all worth the pain, heartache, and love in between.

Although I wanted Dylan and Jeremy to finally get it together and have their HEA I have to admit I felt a little bit sorry for Scott. All that he had invested into his relationship with Dylan and he got nothing in return but heartache. I am kind of hoping that Sarah will do a spin off and give Scott the HEA that he rightfully deserves.

“Damn you for making me love you so much. I need you. I need you now. I’ve never needed anything more in my life than I need you right now.”

I immensely enjoyed Book 1: Tracks and was impressed with this debut author and how she was able to flawlessly deliver such an raw story that dealt with difficult issues and choices. From the very beginning I felt an immediate connection to both Dylan and Jeremy and I was very anxious about this follow up.

In this story, Dylan is trying to move on in life...or should I say she is coping as best she could. She in now in a stable relationship with Scott and although she loves him, it does not in any way compare to what she and Jeremy had. After months of communication silence (mostly on his part) she is in a situation where her career puts him back in her path and not in a positive way.

Jeremy isn’t that guy that the media proclaims him to be and when she realizes this it takes her by surprise. He isn’t the Jeremy that she expected. Again, we find Dylan struggling to decide what her heart feels and what she and everyone close to her thinks that is right for her.

Jeremy thinks that he is too late to claim Dylan and that she is happy belonging to someone else. With all the issues he knows that she deserves better and without her life isn’t worth living. He was willing to selflessly take the blame and sacrifice everything for her and I adored him for it.

I would have to say that this follow-up did not disappoint. I loved this book. I did however feel unsatisfied with Scott’s circumstances. Scott invested so much in a relationship that he knew was bound to fail and I felt sorry for the guy. There was a tiny blurb about Scott in the epilogue but it still left me a little unsettled and I am hoping that the author decides to pen a story on how he finds his soul mate and his HEA.

As much as Book 1 was emotionally intense I thought this one was even more so. The way the author depicted Dylan’s guilt, Jeremy’s struggles and how their unconditional love brought them back together further convinced me how great the authors writing prowess is. For me, this one is a definite one-click.

Trials (Rock Bottom #2) By: Sarah Biermann

Review by: Amber Haynes (NerdGirlAmbz)

I was looking forward to reading this next installment to the series. The author did not disappoint. This book was even better than the first. As our story begins you can tell Dylan is somewhat happy but not HAPPY! But she tries so hard to move on and become who she's always dreamed of being. But when you stop to think about it does she really WANT that life or another? That becomes the question, and unfortunately no one can answer it for her. She has to answer it for herself.

Now as for Jeremy, he had my heart aching. I grew to have so much respect for him, he truly changed for the better. For once in his life he made the right decisions where Dylan and their relationship were concerned. When he was leaving for the police department, I was in tears. But it also showed how much he had grown as a person throughout the book. When Jeremy is accused of murder then the book really takes off.

All those answers you were seeking from the first book are finally answered. Why did he leave? Does he love her? Can this roller coaster love be true and stay strong? The ending in itself was an emotional tear jerker. You find yourself rooting for these two as the story unfolds.

I do not wish to give away anything else or anymore details/spoilers. You will just have to read this book for yourself. You will then see the powerful message behind the story. I can honestly say the author truly delivered on this book. Keep writing!! Your hidden messages and profound storylines are page turners and eye openers!!

The story starts 2 years after Tracks ends.
A lot is going on. Dylan is a third year law student at Harvard and Jeremy is being charged with the murder of a girl that was found dead at his party. Dylan is asked to sit in on the case. It is interesting on what has happened with these two characters in those two years since we last saw them in Tracks.

This book goes more into Jeremy background and why he wants the drugs to numb him. After hearing what Jeremy went through and why he was estranged from his family, I was able to connect and understand some of his behavior and addiction to drugs.
Dylan still makes choices that I thought she were crazy. It was frustrating.

I do not want to give too much away. I will say some parts were hard to read. I did not know until the very end what to believe or not to believe. The plot was interesting and well-paced.
You never knew what the characters were going to do which made this an interesting read. A book that makes for an interesting discussion.
A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.

I was looking forward to this book, and have to say, i wasn't disappointed!
We start off with Jeremy and Dylan apart for some period of time and she's in a relationship with Scott. She hasn't heard from Jeremy for quite some time and has kind of written him off out of her life.
She has just started her dream internship, when she's faced with Jeremy again, this time he's being accused of murder.
And thats where the book takes off!!! All the old emotions come back, she learns why he left her and he still loves her just as she still does and always will love him.
This time around its a little bit of a roller coaster and i enjoyed every minute of it, infact i couldn't put the book down till i had finished!!
At the end of book 1 i was in two minds wether i wanted her to stay with Jeremy or not, but WOW!! THE HOTTIE REDEEMED HIMSELF BIG TIME!!! I enjoyed this book even more than the first, and the chemistry this time round between them was hot hot hot!!! loved it!!!

Jeremy and Dylan were combustible together. Coping without each other, after he severed all contact. For a time, they remained in contact until he saw social media photos of her with Scott and disconnected from her, reverting to his habit of random hookups with women. He’s unpredictable and together they were destructive.

He terminated all methods of contact. She left him because of his drug use, wanting him to seek help.

They spoke regularly and nothing in their last conversation indicated his intention to cut ties. It was two days before her friend’s wedding, he told her he loved her and bid her good night…

The day after the wedding, she tried texting, but the messages were undeliverable. She rang him, only to discover his telephone was disconnected. She tried emailing but he’d closed his account and disabled his social media accounts.

That would have been a clear indication that he no longer wished to remain in touch.

Initially, she hoped he would ring her after all that they’d shared, watching him detox from heroin and alcohol was one of the worst experiences. Then she started seeing things in the paper about him having wild parties at his new house all night…and that he hadn’t been seen in public in weeks and avoided interviews or requests to perform…

Scott and herself, had a slow developing romance, she began falling in love with Scott having known him about a year and a half.

Scott, loves Dylan unconditionally but it feels as though she is undeserving of his devotion.

Dylan did Scott a disservice after investing into their relationship for her to end up pregnant with Jeremy’s baby, it seems as though she never gave him all of herself.

Witnessing her demonstrate symptoms of pregnancy, permanently dashing Scott’s hopes as he realises he’s not the father.

This is about forgiveness and acceptance.

There is a sweet epilogue after they get their mini-protégée.

Trials is one of the best books I read this year. The story of Jeremy and Dylan continues from Tracks. When Tracks ended it was not a very good ending. Dylan broke Jeremy’s heart and went on with her life without him by pushing him away. At first he would have fought for her but then he realized that he loved her too much to bring her down and he never thought he was worthy of her. In this book you find out why Jeremy severed all contact with Dylan. He couldn’t just remain friends like Dylan wanted and watch her with another man because it was hard enough to let her go. Jeremy was determined to fight his demons so he could beat his addiction to drugs. Unfortunately, he reveals to Dylan in this book that she was a trigger for him. He had to sever everything with her in order to beat his addiction for himself and not because Dylan wanted him to do it. This revelation is where Dylan was confused because in the beginning of this book she is still recovering from a broken heart. She never got the closure she needed from Jeremy. One day they were still talking as friends and then suddenly there was no communication with him for 10 months. Her boyfriend Scott stayed with her and Dylan tried to replace Jeremy with Scott. The only problem with this was she could never love Scott the way she loved Jeremy. Her heart was given to Jeremy and that part of her was not something she had to give to Scott. The sad thing is that Scott still stayed with her knowing this. I really did like Scott. He truly was a good man and was very loving towards her but the chemistry was not there. She was comfortable with Scott. Their relationship was truly kind of boring compared to the passion and chemistry between her and Jeremy.

Dylan finally gets her dream internship with the District Attorney’s office. However, she is put on the case against Jeremy. They believe Jeremy murdered this girl that was at one of his parties, and sadly the evidence against him was not good at all. She really didn’t want to be on this case because this meant she would have to face Jeremy for the first time in 10 months. All the unanswered questions as to why he left still plagued her, and Dylan wanted to believe that Jeremy was in some way involved with the murder charge against him. Inside her heart she knew he didn’t but she was mad at him for leaving her the way he did. Also, it didn’t help the fact that she would be on the team that was trying to bring him down. The two of them act like they don’t know each other when they first meet because she is afraid what her boss might do. This was her dream job and she didn’t want to lose it. As you read further in the book there are things you find out about Jeremy and his childhood that break your heart and that he truly has nobody in his life that loves him for just him. All that fame and money is not worth being alone, especially when he has to watch the love of his life happy with another man. He made the choice of letting her go but it still doesn’t make it any easier to know that he can’t be with her. This is a series that was worth reading in two days. I read the first one in one night and then moved on to the second one immediately. You will be hooked once you start and you will be happy to know that Jeremy Mason is now one my BBFs. The author was amazing and I can’t wait to read more from her. Although I wish this series didn’t end but it’s only because I need more of Jeremy. The way the series ends is a perfect way to end Dylan and Jeremy’s story and it brings closure to the readers.

" I'm feeding into him again, letting myself be drawn into his cyclone life. Look what happens when I allow that."

The book hangover continues! First off, this is the sequel to "Tracks" so You MUST read "Tracks" first! If you don't you will be lost. I read this book in a few hours, YES I was that intrigued by it. I don't know what it is about Dark Emotional reads that I love so much. Call me twisted. Lol. Trials starts up about a year and a half after Tracks ends. Give or take. Dylan is now starting her third year at Harvard Law.

Dylan has been working very hard since the break up with Jeremy to make it well for a better word worth it. She still has a 4.0 GPA and is hoping to be picked for the Internship. I honestly can't say much about the plot or I'll SPOIL everything. Once you read it, you'll understand why I say this. Plus, you'll be grateful I didn't spill any of the beans.

" I left for the good of us. I cut you out because you wouldn't have understood. I did it for us. Everything I've done since I met you has been for us, Dylan. I fucking love you. I love you more now than I ever have..."
- Jeremy

Sarah had me HOOKED, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to become of Jeremy. What Dylan was going to do, and how Scott was going to handle everything. When you think things are going one way BAM the plot thickens. Seriously, there are scenes in this book that grab at my heartstrings. I don't know how you will feel, but I was Shattered! Completely Shattered. It will rock you to your core with how heart wrenching it is.

" I don't want to be Jeremy Mason anymore. Jeremy Mason has hit rock bottom."

I truly LOVED this book. I did, but I won't lie...I am having a Love/Hate relationship with Dylan. I love Jeremy even through all the fucked up shit he's done, I can't help but love him. We all have a past, and his was BRUTAL. Some things seemed a little rushed, and I wish I knew more...but overall it's really an Amazing read. Through all the stress and drama the ending was THE BEST! No lie, I smiled and was okay with ending their story. I was beginning to get worried I was going to be hating how things ended, but of course Sarah ended things perfectly.

Swooning was def. involved the last chapter and in the epilogue. When reading a series you want something that captivates you and makes you think about things you normally wouldn't. Feel things you normally wouldn't. I laughed, cried, got pissed and wanted to throw my kindle, smiled, sighed. Trials will consume you in all the right ways.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ

I rate Trials 5 Stars! *****

ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Where I held a few reservations about Tracks, Trials is a no-holds barred, pure angst-filled ride! From page one, your heart leaves your chest and you are left with uncertainty. You see, Trials doesn’t pick immediately back up from where we left Dylan and Jeremy. At the end of Tracks, they have decided to go their separate ways, believing in their current state they are toxic for each other. Though they have ended it, we are led to believe it is only temporary and that they will find each other again someday.

We sit for a few minutes, not looking at each other. The tension in the room is heave and I’m concentrating on breathing evenly so that I don’t give in and pass out. Regardless, my heart is more alive at this moment than it has been in the past ten months.

Imagine my surprise when we pick up a year later, and not only is she NOT with Jeremy, not only is she WITH Scott, but they haven’t spoken in over 10 months. As in he just up and dropped off the face of the earth, switched off his phone and his bodyguard’s, and all his social networking sites. Out of the blue. Like I said, this book starts off with a bang and doesn’t let up for the majority of the journey.

“Damn you, Dylan,” he says, growling the words in between kisses. “Damn you for making me love you so much. I need you. I need you now. I’ve never needed anything more in my life than I need you right now.”

What I really loved about this couple is the magnetism between them. No matter space nor distance, they are never far from each other’s minds. No matter who they may be with at the time, their heart is already spoken for. I almost feel sorry for their placeholders, but only slightly. The passion between Dylan and Jeremy is OFF THE CHARTS! They have both overcome a lot, but there are still many hills to climb.

“You love me. Stop making up excuses for us not to be together. It’s been long enough, Dylan. I don’t want to waste any more time living without you. My money, my career, my looks, my voice…they mean nothing to me. You give my life meaning. You saved me. Let me make you my life.”

I truly LOVED this book! I am not sure if this is the end of the series or not, but if it is, I am okay with how we left them. There are many trials and tribulations in this book, as the title so aptly suggests, but the strongest of all will always prevail, and that is love. 5 stars from me!

“The truth is, I’m only happy when I’m with you. I’m only comforted when you comfort me. I only feel safe when you shelter me.”

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. No cliff hanger. Tracks (Rock Bottom #1) should be read first to fully enjoy this book. Spoiler-free review. 4.5 rock star sized stars!

Trials (Rock Bottom #2) by Sarah Biermann picks up a few years after Dylan and Jeremy hit the rocks. Jeremy completely cut himself off from her and is never heard from again. Even though Dylan is devastated from losing Jeremy, she still manages to remain at the top of her class at law school. Dylan attempts to move on from her emotional breakdown and ends up living with Scott. She is somewhat happy with her life…but thinks about what she had with Jeremy. He is still very much a part of her head and heart. News articles and TV stories would occasionally pop up about Jeremy which she did her best to avoid...until the day he makes headline news. He is accused of a drug induced murder/rape of an underage girl. While working as an intern at the DA’s office she comes face to face with Jeremy and life will never be the same.

I was captivated from the first page to the last. This book was total Kindle Crack and I devoured this book in one sitting! Jeremy, Dylan and Scott's gut wrenching love triangle unraveled at a perfect pace with a perfect amount of emotion and steam. I will say there were times I wanted to reach into my Kindle and bitch slap Dylan for being so shitty to Scott. This story got under my skin. I really like Sarah’s writing style and think book two is my favorite. Jeremy, Scott and Dylan ended up with the HEA they needed to have. Sarah wrapped up this rock and roll drama pretty nicely. I look forward to reading what she is working on next.

In Trials, Dylan´s and Jeremy´s story continues.

After all the months that had passed without her true love. After all the months of not seeing each other, he is back in her life. Jeremy, the reason her heart beats faster is back in her life. The reason why he is back isn´t nice. A reason she has a hard time to process because she can´t believe that that happened.

That reason made her think a lot, question herself.

Did he killed her or did he not killed her? Does she trust him or she doesn´t trust him? Does she want to trust him or she doesn´t want to trust him? Does she want to pull him away or pull him in? Does she want to resist the feelings she has for him or grab them and don´t let them go, don´t let him go?

He needs her. She needs him. He can´t live without her. She can´t live without him. They are each others reason to breath, to wake up every day because they both know that the love one is

Jeremy is trying to stay clean of using drugs and alcohol. In the book we find out that the reasons he wasn´t in contact with her all this time was because he couldn´t watch her with another man and that he wanted to beat his demons before he returns.

The girl was found murdered in his house and he was accused for her death.

Dylan is on her last year at Harvard Law student. She got the internship in Boston’s District Attorney’s office. Her first case is the case against Jeremy.

With all the drama. Twists and turns. All the secrets that were discovered, all the lies that came to surface, all the questions that were answered, the true love has found it´s way back.

Freaking amazing read with a beautiful end.

I´m so hooked on this consuming series. I read both books in one sitting and enjoyed every single bit of it.

Picking up a few years after “Tracks”, this novel started off with a sad ending. The lovers I fell in love with in the first installment are no longer an item and the heroine, or maybe I should say girl in this case, was left without any closure.

Although everyone remembers their first love, Dylan goes out of her way to forget hers. Alexander Graham Bell once said, “When one door closes, another door opens; but we so often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” I admit that while I should have been saying “Amen!” to this quote as Scott proved to be saintly, the devil in me wanted Jeremy to kick the closed door wide open and pull Dylan back through.
The author did such a good job in “Tracks” of painting a portrait of a love so strong, with characters so compelling, I had a hard time accepting anything else. While Scott is charming, handsome, supportive, loving, and loyal, his love is a spark compared to the flame inside of Dylan that still burns for Jeremy.

I felt wretched at times for my biased opinion as the three main characters shared an equal amount of pain and suffering. Denial was more prevalent than naivety this time around, and there were secrets revealed that knocked the wind out of me. Dylan learns the dark side to her dream job as Jeremy is raked over the coals, and the D.A. delivers a low blow to win his case. I’m compelled to add that one of my favorite characters in this series is Rich, Jeremy’s most loyal and loving friend and employee. I was so pleased to see him playing such a critical part towards the conclusion. I felt the ending brought everything together beautifully, and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Trials is the second book in the Rock Bottom series by Sarah Biermann. This book is part of a series and its best to read the books in order to best understand the story. I loved this story so much more than the first book. Dylan is much more grown up than the first book and a lot less naive but it does creep up every now again. Rather than odd, as it seemed in the first book it’s much more charming. She is not jaded as I would have expected but still seems sweet and charming. The one thing that Dylan is not is happy she is content but not happy. Dylan is still upset about the loss of Jeremy and is coping the best way she can by ignoring all information about him.

Dylan is now in a relationship with Scott. Dylan is content while Scott is looking for a more permanent relationship with Dylan. Scott seems to deal very well keeping all information about Jeremy away from Dylan. Jeremy seems to back into drugs, parties and women. As all of that goes he gets into big trouble when someone in his house dies and Jeremy is looking at murder charges.

As Dylan copes with Jeremy being pushed into her face she has to face her feeling for Jeremy and Scott. Jeremy has grown as a person since the first book. He tries to do what is right and not what he wants. I respected him more in this book that the prior one. Overall, this was a fabulous read with such an emotional ending. I loved the ending a lot. It tied up all loose ends in the best possible way.

I rated Trials with FIVE LEAVES! This is the second book in the Rock Bottom Series. The first book is Tracks and I loved that one as well but this one really did it for me. Tracks was sort of left in a cliffhanger, so I was very excited to start this book and see where the story was headed. Dylan finally is on the right track to have everything she has dreamed of. She is in her third year at Harvard Law School and is in line for one of the best internships there is. This is why she let Jeremy go in the first place. They both had to fix themselves and she needed to focus on school so she could get this internship. It has been 10 months since Jeremy finally walked out of her life. She is trying to move on with a new guy and she is trying to forget Jeremy Mason. When Dylan turns on the news and finds out that Jeremy is a suspect in a murder investigation, she knows things aren't good. The investigation brings Jeremy and Dylan back into each others lives and they both have to decide if this is what is best for them or if they should move on forever. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this series and find out for yourself what happens with Dylan and Jeremy. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

I really liked the first book in the series so I was excited to read more about Dylan and Jeremy in Trials. Sarah definitely did not disappoint me with the sequel! I think it was even better than the first!

First, we see that Dylan has been doing well in school and seems to have adjusted rather well after losing Jeremy. Now, she may be doing well but I don't feel like she is completely happy. She still misses Jeremy. Eventually she will need to decide if she can have both the future she has always dreamed of as well as the man she loves.

Jeremy has really grown and changed for the better. You can really tell he is trying to do what's best for Dylan because of how much he loves her.

This book has a lot of twists and turns. It answers all the questions that had you hitting your nails in the first book. And it was much hotter than the first book. The chemistry between the two of them is off the charts hot!

I really can't tell you too much without a domino effect off spoilers, so just know that this book is WELL WORTH the time of reading. It is not a stand-alone book, you must read Tracks first. I'd rate this book at 4-4.5 Stars!

ARC Was Given To Blog For An Honest Review

This is the second book of this series. The first was Tracks, where we watch Dylan and Jeremy’s love bloom, and then watched it get ripped apart only to leave us wondering what was coming next and would they get their happily ever after.

I was surprised to see that the story fast forwards a few years. Dylan is further into her studies at Harvard and doing well. Her best friend is happy and her other Friend, Scott, (who is totally in love with her by the way) is around too. I have to say so little in this review because I can’t give anything away.

Alright here it goes; I was angered and shocked with the opening of the story. I could not believe it, I did not want to believe it, but it was written right there in front of me. It was not the most horrible thing to happen, just not what I wanted.

The conclusion of the story has all your questions answered along with a twist thrown in. I was like what are the odds? Really! I was left very satisfied with the ending. I was thrilled that it left me with smile on my face and laughing.

This book was so much better then the first. I grew to have a new found respect for Dylan and even Jeremy. I didn't think I would after the last book they were both in low, dangerous places. Also both were very vulnerable.

As our story begins you can tell Dylan is somewhat happy but not HAPPY! But she tries so hard to move on and become who she's always dreamed of being. But when you stop to think about it does she really WANT that life or another? That becomes the question, and unfortunately no one can answer it for her.

Now as for Jeremy, he had me in tears. I grew to have so much respect for him, he truly changed for the better. For once in his life he made the right decisions where Dylan and their relationship was concerned. When he was leaving for the police department, I was in tears. But it also showed how much he had grown as a person. I have a new respect for him.

Overall the story was great and the characters were great too. The ending was very emotional but so perfect for this story. I recommend both books.

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

Its three years later and a lot of things have changed. Dylan is now with Scott and Jeremy has dropped out of radar leaving Dylan to wonder where he is and why he just disappeared. Just when Dylan thought her life was finally getting back to normal. Jeremy shows up again, but not in the way that Dylan imagined. Jeremy is being charged with murder of a 17 year old girl found dead in his house. Dylan is now interning with the District Attorney's office and they plan on using Dylan to get to a confession out of Jeremy. The only problem is that Dylan doesn't think he is guilty. I was heart broken for Jeremy, Dylan and Scott through out this book.

Dylan's love for both men has her at a crossroad. But which way will Dylan go? The safe way or the way that is pure trouble but what her heart won't let her forget. SO SO Good!! Loved this conclusion to such an untraditional love story. I was soaring high and low with them and really loved how everything ended.

Definitely need to read Tracks first to follow the story. Trials picks up a couple years after Tracks and the beginning really threw me for a loop! It really made me sketchy of how the story was going to play out but it did make sense, not that I liked any bit of it haha! In this book, Dylan and Jeremy work on their individual issues separately and think they know what the right thing is to do, but is it really what makes them happy? This is their struggle and fight to move forward. Again, very emotional but had a great ending - loved the outcome! This one was definitely a quick read and have a total book hangover - read Tracks and just haaaaad to start Trials right away, then I just got hooked!

I was hoping for another great book with this one and I wasn’t disappointed. The same passion and torment as Tracks but not quite as volatile. It still had plenty of drama and I was glued to my tablet just like I was with the first book.

Dylan seemed like she was lost and confused for a lot of this book and I got a little frustrated with her at times. Jeremy seemed to be doing better this time around and I really liked him in this book. They both grow a lot throughout the story and I felt like I was right there with them as they dealt with everything.

They characters and story were written just as well as Tracks. I felt immersed in the story from the very beginning and found it hard to walk away not knowing what was going to happen next. It drew me in until the very last sentence. Great job and a 4 out of 5 stars!

4.5 Awesome Stars! I finished Tracks about two weeks ago and have been counting the days until I could see where Jeremy and Dylan would end up. I am such a sap for a HEA and I really feel like these two deserved one. So after finishing the book this afternoon (yes, this is how I spent my day), I needed more, so I went back and read the last 50 or so pages a second time. I love when there is happy, smiles and sweetness at the end of devastating sadness. Better not to know too many details and just enjoy and suffer through their journey."I don't want to be in this pit anymore. If I'm climbing up from the bottom, I want to transform myself. I want to be free of who I was and become who I need to be for you". Sigh!

This book picks up three years later and you see the choices that Dylan has made. You are still questioning her choices and wonder if she chose correctly. When she gets her dream internship and she is assigned to a high profile homicide you know that the connection she lost with Jeremy will come back and hit her hard. I was still torn between Scott and Jeremy. I also saw Scott in a different light and did not like him as much towards the end. He was manipulating and took advantage in my mind. This sequel will definitely keep you on your toes and make you fall in love with Jeremy all over again. While reading this book I went through a range of emotions from Angry, to Sad, and finally Happily Ever After. ~Cathy

(Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review)

Trials is a great conclusion to the series.

It has it all! Love, hearbreak, suspense and twists n turns.

The book picks up 3 years down the line where Dylan is now in a relationship with Scott.

Dylan and Jeremy are thrown back into each other's lives when a young girl is found dead after a party at Jeremy's home and Dylan is part of the law firm that are building a case against him.

As with Track, Trials pulls a wide range of emotions from you as you become more engrossed in the storyline.

The book keeps you `on your toes'. It twists and turns in numerous directions and half of it was not expected.

Another enjoyable book and I look forward to reading more from Sarah in the future.

I liked this book more then the first. I felt all the characters had grown (they should have since two years had passed since we last saw them) and in all positive ways. In the beginning I was rooting for Scott and wishing Dylan would grow up and see what an amazing man she had. Jeremy was being charged with murder after all and had broken her heart. She needed to get a grip and see that he was no good for her. All I can say is in the end I was wrong and I couldn't be happier. This book was not as long as the first but the story felt in no way rushed and was the perfect conclusion to Dylan and Jeremy's story. Can't wait to see what Sarah Biermann has in store for us next!

Where to start??

In book#1 I wasn't a fan of Dylan. Especially, when she pushed Jeremy away when he needed her the most. That broke my heart. I couldn't wait to start the second book.

More then once, I cried during the second book. Jeremy wasn't only getting knocked down but kicked while he was down.

This book has you wanting more and more. You don't want to put it down. It's a must read. Thank you Sarah for being such a talented writer and I CANNOT wait for what else you have in store for us in your future novels.

Trials was reviewed by Iva Readit for Kota's Book Kollection

"If you haven't read Tracks, the first book in the Rock Bottom Series by Sarah Biermann then you need to do so before reading this one as it is a direct follow on. Trials finishes the story that Sarah Briemann started in Tracks. It is again well written with an interesting plot that demonstrates the progression of the issues identified in the first book." - Iva

I really love how Dylan and Jeremy found each other.

But something bug me.
I know Dylan and Jeremy were meant for each other.
But what they're doing while Dylan with Scott isn't a right thing to do! Whether you don't have feeling for your fiance or your fiance kind of manipulate you! The pregnant thing and how Scott know Dylan affair really broke my heart.

Well, at least Scott got his happy ending. :""")
