WOW Best one yet!!!
This installment of the Crescent Bound Series picks right up where Demon Bound ends.... and I'm so glad I didn't have to wait for it to be released! Seriously the waiting would have been awful!
In Demon Bound it ends with Alyssa and Marc going to the Arcane after leaving his "parents" and a crappy dinner. His "Mom" Noreen is a real bitch and doesn't hold back in making Alyssa know she is not approving of her recent news. So to make up for a bad evening Alyssa and Marc go to the Arcane to have him hold the Crystal which will tell him if he's a True Blood..... then something happens to Marc.
Shadow Bound picks up with Marc but he's Kind Marcus and they are in another time and place. This story is about a past life for them. ....... Not even sure how to write this review without being a spoiler and also doing this book and the author justice.
Karli Rush has transported us to another time and place seamlessly. We learn that King Marcus of Ulric and someone known as "The Untouchable One" from another land Anvil and her King hold the entire realm in the balance. The King of Anvil will do whatever it takes to keep his "Untouchable One" a Healer and Seer, but only for his own need and peril. Yet once the King of Ulic sees her and she him, there is an undeniable pull.
She can't stop thinking about the King of Ulric but her loyalty remains with the person who saved her.... That is until another steps in to seek their revenge. Destiny steps in and the rest is up for grabs.... But to what end.
This story is heart pounding and a True Love Story.... The way the author, Karli Rush, uses description I was able to visualize the two kingdoms and everything in between. From the flowing gowns to the snow capped mountains. Every character is once again very well thought out and great care is taken. This is my favorite book so far in this series. I think because there was no weird spending money on cars and motorcycles... the iPod is not a main character.
I'm looking forward to the next book and can hardly wait.... however because this series is so well written I have a hard time putting it down and should really do some household chores, which have been neglected because I couldn't stop reading! Maybe while I wait I try a few of the Spells, they seem so real!

A King who see's more to the seer than a seer but as a woman.
Alyssa was kept up tighter than a drum so that the prophesy stayed true. But a seer wanting to be loved for who she is not what she is.
Will a war and blood be shed so that 2 people may come to love one another?
WOW, just WOW. This story was so not what I was expecting and yet it went above and beyond.
The characters are so well presented that you really come to care for all of them.
This story Shows that True Love will travel generations to reunite.
I Highly Recommend this book.

I really didn't think I would like this one because it went back in time. I am not really a fan of going back in the past. But this was nicely done. I can't wait for Ice Bound to come out.

Liked it, but I thought that this was the last book in the series and now we get another one....Icebound, I liked the series a lot, but this one was a whole different era and a little trickery for me to read, but still enjoyed it.
