"Your pain and your pleasure…all of it is mine to give. No one else had the right."

Max and Ethan's relationship has gone so far in Limited Liability , I can see that Max feels something for Ethan and he suppresses his feeling very well. The story doesn't revolve around their sex life anymore, it was expanded to the agreement of being lovers and partners. I enjoyed the writing style in spite of the slow start. I've expected the next one to be more exciting and heart-wrenching than this one, too.

"Tell me your fantasy," he whispered.

I love Max. He's reliable when it comes to business. His composure attracted me strongly through this book. While Ethan is precipitate sometimes, Max is like a stone anchoring him. The way Max dominates Ethan is hot and sexy as hell.

3 Stars.

Enjoyed this one a bit better than the last!

There's a better plot this time around and some more growth in the relationship between Max and Ethan.

Although I like Max and find myself intrigued by him, he's a very frustrating man. He obviously is in lust with Ethan and Ethan of course is more than thrilled with Max, but I find it irritating how Max shuts down Ethan constantly with reminders that he is literally a live in fuck doll. And what's more frustrating is Ethan is such a doormat already for this guy.

But I think Max deflects too much. So I can only assume that Ethan is slowly making his way underneath Max's skin and there shall be love ahead my dolls. LOL

It got better so hopefully this keeps going uphill. xx

Ethan wanted to be a big bad FBI agent. How was he going to do that when he is immature, inexperienced, naïve, and timid? I mean, come on!

"I really did screw up, didn't I?" His shoulders slumped.

Max snapped, his patience obviously stretched to its limits. The tone of Max's voice made Ethan shrink in his chair a little bit.

Ethan worried at his bottom lip.

description

And he puts up with being treated like an object and sex toy for Max. Max is essentially paying Ethan to be with him. Isn't that like a paid escort?

description

And whew! The things these guys did together. Ethan deserves a paycheck because Max puts Ethan thru the sexual wringer. Spanking, denial, dominance, sex in public, dirty talk in public, and just lots and lots of sex. Too much sex. This isn't a long book and it's mostly about these guys doing something related to sex.

And then of course there was the whole dun, dun, dun moment. Which was more like, dun, du...WTF?

description

Ethan gets kidnapped. Really? And the reason, ridiculous.

I have the next book cued up but as big a fan as I am of Tricia Owens, I am not sure this series will be for me after all. :( I'll try book 3 to see if book 2 if a fluke. I guess I give this 3 stars.

***Audiobook***Narrated by Nick J. Russo***I'm enjoying this series! Ethan has moved to Las Vegas and is now living with Max. He begins working at The Elite Poole and Max is pressured into giving him an assignment guarding a dangerous mob boss. I like that Max is starting to realize his relationship with Ethan might be more than just physical. Excellent narration from Nick Russo. Can't wait until the next one is released :)

Max and Ethan and their growing romance is what makes this story very enjoyable to read. I love the humor, too.

Edited to add audio review 9/2016

4.5 star review by The Blogger Girls.

The story continues with Ethan now living with Max. He is getting settled but is frustrated that Max hasn’t assigned him any work yet. An unfortunate encounter changes all that, and Max is requested for a client.

Max and Ethan are still getting to know one another, what makes each other tick, etc. It’s fun to watch this unfold. Ethan is still a bit wary of his decision to join Max, worried that he’s become nothing more than Max’s plaything. But that is showing signs of changing, especially after Ethan is kidnapped.

I enjoyed this installment a little more than the last for the mere fact that there is more going on than just Ethan and Max getting together. The sex between these guys is still off-the-charts hot with Max in control and Ethan submitting in various ways. How they will be able to keep that turned off on the job is yet to be seen and should prove very interesting.

This was another super fast read that left me excited to jump into the next one. I can’t believe I let this series sit for so long before finally getting the nudge from a friend to check it out, but I’m glad I finally did. I’m ready for the next installment and looking forward to the next client/adventure.

Review – Audio: Nick J. Russo is back! I love when someone captures the voices of characters and you grow to expect hearing them, only to have that same voice return in the next story. Mr. Russo does a wonderful job with Max and Ethan (and all of the other characters), giving them distinctive voices that are easy to discern. He is so easy to listen to, and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up any of his narrations.

The only thing I am unsure about is whether you would get the same thing out of this story if you hadn’t read it first. I find that listening to an audio book after I’ve read it is like watching a movie after reading a book. For me, it puts more life into it and gives the characters more depth. But, just as with movies, I think reading the book first gives you a tiny bit more detail. At least, that’s the way it is for me. So, if you feel the same, I highly recommend you read this series first, but do not hesitate to rush right out and pick up the audio. If, like me, you are not ready to let these guys go at the end, you’ll be glad you have the audio to look forward to, as it enhances and brings these guys back to life.

Rating is based on the entire series (books 1-10 thus far) rather than each one individually.

Loved the series. Loved Max and Ethan. Loved the D/s relationship they've built. Loved them individually and as a couple. Yeah, loved the whole fucking enchilada.

I should have stopped at the first one lmao.

Or at least I should have stopped a few minutes into this one when someone made a fatphobic comment and I was like 'ugh do I really have time for this' but then I thought 'okay it's only a few hours long, and maybe it'll get better', proving that I really do not ever learn.

- Max is terrible and pathetic. I already have no patience with overly possessive, 'I own you' type D/s, and this was that, and seems to be creeping up on lifestyle D/s. Seriously, the bits where he's all but yelling 'I want to own your mind as well as your body because I am dominant, I am going to dominate you, I am a dom, I wonder if I say that enough times it will make it true' were skeevy and pathetic by turns. I could not take him seriously at all now that he and Ethan are in an actual relationship.
- He really was serious about his dumbass colour theory. This idiot really makes Ethan, a bodyguard, someone who's supposed to blend in and be inconspicuous, go out on protective duty wearing cream and white and dove grey with pink ties. All because 'subs can't wear dark colours'... I'm ascending.
- Max keeps holding everything over Ethan, reminding him about how he's supposed to be constantly grateful for everything he does for him and it's fucking: gross.
- Max makes Ethan say "you know everything and I know nothing" or something like it and I was really supposed to think that was sexy. Yo... It wasn't.
- Can we all agree that the cabaret club scene was the silliest thing in the woooooorld. What did Max expect to happen when he initiated a scene in public, when they're sitting RIGHT NEXT TO his number one enemy. Isn't he supposed to be some kind of mastermind? When you think about it, it's actually all his fault that the kidnapping happened lmao.
- In the last book Max made some kind of comment about how he's going to show Ethan 'the capitalist dream' or something like that and wow he was not joking. Yikes. One of the big points in this book was 'hey unions are bad actually.' YIKES. Idk anything about irl Vegas policies or politics but. YIKES!!!
- Near the end of the book Ethan is musing about being in the closet and coming out to family and friends. I always appreciate when, in books, coming out isn't the be all and end all, the key to happiness. Some people have to live in the closet and it's just like that, and it hits home a lot of me. THAT SAID, Ethan says something along the lines of 'I'm not ashamed of being gay, it's just not important enough to tell my homophobic parents, who just have different values' and man idk it made me feel Some Type of Way.
- (The type of way was bad.)

Nick J. Russo was great again, I'll look out for other books he voices. Just not this series lol.

God. @ myself: please just stop listening to/reading books when you suspect they're going to be bad. Just stop and move on. Stop 'giving them a chance'. Give YOURSELF a chance. Please.

I really like this series(as evidenced by the fact I am reading all 9 books without reading anything in else inbetween them). Although each book deals with the same couple(Max and Ethan) none of the books(so far) have ended in a cliff hanger. Each book(I just finished book 5) has ended in a HFN and could be considered complete in itself(although if you don't read them in order you might get a little confused by some comments and actions). I recommend these books to lovers of M/M genre(BDSM / Dom-Sub included).
Possible spoiler ***
There is a scene in the book that, although very steamy, I found very implausible; it is the sex club scene. Max is adamant that no one knows he is gay as he believes it will negatively affect his business, yet he verbally seduces Ethan into an orgasm in a public place with the mobster and another of his operatives at the same table...and the other agent doesn't notice...really? Like I said the scene was hot but not in keeping with Max's character to date in the series.

Max compartmentalizes his life. Business and pleasure never meet... They never meet until Ethan comes into his life. Ethan is on his first assignment for Elite Poole, and Max isn't 100% on board. Max has told himself that this thing with Ethan is only sexual. A day of reckoning is coming when Ethan's assignment turns deadly.

Ethan is excited to on his first assignment and realizes that being an agent at Elite Poole maybe more taxing than being an FBI agent. Ethan loves the sex with Max and giving up control, but he is beginning to realize that he may just lose his heart along the way. He has to trust that Max won't break it.

Another great addition to Max and Ethan's story

This is another step in Max and Ethan's relationship after Ethan finally moved to live with Max.

Their sex life is really in sync. They get along perfectly in bed (and some other places). Ethan gladly submits himself to Max. He enjoys Max's domination, and agrees to do anything Max wants. He loves being submissive. He accepts and derives pleasure from all Max's commands. He doesn't want anything different.

However, they are still trying to fine tune their work dynamic. Can they work together and keep their relationship a secret?

The romance is blooming, but they just don't realize it yet. Of course, they care a great deal about each other. They are trying to tell themselves that it's nothing more than sex. We just have to wait and see how it goes. For the sex scenes, apart from lot of dirty talks, spank and getting a bit naughty in public, there is nothing too kinky yet. There are also some action scenes.

Seriously, the series sucks...

It's worse than the first book, and, having read the following nine in this series, it does NOT get better.

Ethan seems to lose more brain cells, or perhaps gets pounded so hard that his brain explodes each time Max allows him to, the further we descend in this series (and, it does seem all downhill)! I'd agree with the review that stated Ethan doesn't deserve to be there since he doesn't show discretion or class. He's a hothead, and doesn't seem to complement Max at all. Boring. One star.

Good read

I continue to enjoy this series and am buying the next book. In this book the mc's are learning more about them selves and each other. Ethan is trying to get used to his new lifestyle and find him place. Max is growing closer to Ethan, but keep trying to convince himself it's just sex. I enjoyed Ethan's first assignment in the field, good action starting to build in the series. Again the sex scenes are hot!

This series has good graphic description of their love scene. Ethan is Max's sub and loves his master fiercely. Each book has its own plot where the characters develope beautifully around Ethan and Max's security firm. All stories have hot m/m BDSM scenes that will leave you emotional to say the least.
The author is new to me and I am happy that I took the plunge to read this series.
This was an easy 5 stars from me.

Max is the worst! This story is sort of the comeuppance for Max's arrogance, but also feels like the in-between story of Ethan and Maximillian's budding relationship (the feels part, not the hot kinky sex part). I do like the world building, and the cheezy Vegas feel. I'm hooked. Dang it. Onto book three!

Wow - what a series! 11 books and some shorts. Obviously, I liked some books a little more than others but none that I didn't feel fit into the series and overall characters, which were 2 sexy, hot, likeable and lovable MC's - different but perfect for each other. Each book had it's own plot and ending and carried the story along their lives.

MM....light BDSM. 2nd book. Ethan moved to Las Vegas to live with Max. He receives an assignment from Elite to guard an important person, who Max really hates.
Max's feelings for Ethan evolves, but doesn't want to reveal those. Ethan gets himself kidnapped. Ouch! But this also knocks Max sideways.
These 2 frustrate me some, but I like these little short stories.

I'm intrigued by the story and the characters, but I don't really like Max. I don't like how he treats Ethan's emotions. He is too insecure to be a good master and needs to man-up.

This book was much more enjoyable than the first. There were still some slow parts but for the most part a way better book than the first in the series. The last 30% pushed this from a three star book to a four star book.

As the mc's learn about themselves, this reader is entertained and involved in the action. For a novella, thiese chapters had a lot of punch.
