Jordan Carlisle is a young, career driven woman with a passion for life and family. Her world is suddenly altered by both death and love when she is torn between family loyalty and a chance at happiness with the man who holds her in her dreams. Will time and technology bring her and the handsome stranger together or will the powerful forces that have plagued her since childhood keep them apart?
Gregory Riley has kept a secret most of his life to avoid discovery. Now he is on a quest to find the person who can change his life, forever. He knows her face, her touch and her voice; but nothing more. He uses clues, from his dreams, to find both her and a timeless love that defies explanation. In spite of the darkness working to keep them apart, can he get to her first and help her “remember”?
Jordan and Gregory discover a deep connection in the ability to encroach on one another’s dreams of both past and present. Together, they learn that their lives have crossed time and time again, only to end tragically. Guided by an unearthly visionary and help from those who have gone before, they are given clues and revelations to uncover their place in history. In order to stay together, they must discover where fate went astray, who is responsible and where they fit in to the ancient prophesy. Working side-by-side, they seek to unlock the hidden powers and mysteries that will defeat the darkness in this life and allow them to be together, forever. Will love finally prevail or will the darkness win again?
I grew up in a small town in South Florida and moved to Central Florida to attend college. I married my friend, love, and soul mate and still reside in the area with our amazing son, and a feisty, four-legged little doggie boy.
In my books, I draw on my background in healthcare, business, and science, along with my husband’s engineering and wireless technology knowledge.
I love to cook and create in the kitchen and on the bbq grill. I sometimes lose myself in a song at the piano. I enjoy crafting, amusement parks, and the beach!
This book is truly a wonderful story. It has a little supernatural and a whole lot of love and romance. It hints around with the supernatural at first and keeps you guessing as to what will happen next. It is a story of soul mates that are determined to be together and show the world what pure love is. The loving relationship between a daughter and her parents is a wonderful thing to see in a young woman and her parents. Jordan is a strong young woman who loves her family and her job and is loyal to her friends. Gregory is sexy in a charming southern gentleman kind of way and you just can't help but to fall in love with him. You just want to cuddle up and lay in his strong arms forever and let him take care of you. The story has its sad parts but you can feel the love pouring out of the pages and then something happens and you can't help but wonder how they will make it. It is the first book in the series so of course you can expect to have a little bit of a cliffhanger. Cynthia has to leave you wanting to read the next book right? If you are looking for a book filled with sex then this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a book that has a sweet innocent loving story then this is the novel for you. Every body seems to love the sexy "bad boy" but Gregory is the sexy, charming, sweet guy I hope my daughter finds and falls in love with. Wonderful job Cynthia, and congratulations on your debut novel. Looking forward to all your future works.
I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Do you believe in reincarnation? How about true soul mates? That is exactly the history between Jordan and Gregory. They couldn't explain the pull they have towards each other and feelings so deep, so fast.
Just like any love story though, things don't go as smooth as they would like. There are powers to be that want to destroy their love. However, Jordan and Gregory are determined to beat the odds and stay together.
This is book 1 in the Remembrance Series. I'm anxious for book 2. I want/need to know what the truth is about the past of Jordan and Gregory.
I had gotten hooked back on reading thanks to the Twilight Saga and have been disappointed with other reads that are "supposed" to be similar in nature. I haven't found a Young Adult Paranormal Romance that I liked until now. This book rocked. Granted, Gregory was a little overprotective, but if a guy loves his girl that much, shouldn't he be? I don't know if I would like that or not, but apparently Jordan does. But, the chemistry between them is amazing. The paranormal/supernatural aspects and twists and turns leave me speechless and wanting to know more. I can't wait for the next book. I need to know how their story develops and if the characters or the darkness win.
This book takes you on a journey of soul mates, that through out their past lives have always had darkness surround them to insure their dimise. While light always tried to guide them on the right path. Evil seems to never want the two soul mates to meet, and some how if they stay together it weakens the darkness. They are destined for great things. They dream of their past lives together and grow in strength from their pure love. It has many similarities to Shelly Cranes 'Significanes Series.' I enjoyed reading this wonderful begining to a beautiful series.
What a great book, I felt so close to Jordan, it was like reading my own story, with her dad getting sick, him having cancer and pass away, her grief and missing him. Just meeting a wonderful man. All that could be my life story, besides all the rest.
You will read that there is more to Jordan and Gregory then just what it appears to be, they have a very tight connection, that is longer then many think. It has history in it, romance and a little adventure. I am sure many will like this and I can not wait to read the next!!
I received a copy of this book for a honest review.
I'm the author of this book, so of course I'm a little biased in giving it five stars. The synopsis gives a good description of what the book is about, but there is a whole other level to the book that doesn't get explained, due to space limitations.
The book is definitely suitable for teenagers, all the way up to adults of all ages! It is meant to be a wholesome romance that spans across time. One blog reviewer put the description the best, when she said, "If you like over the top romances, believe in the power of true love, believe in reincarnation and the drawing together of soul mates; then this book is for you!"
One of my favorite sayings in the book is when Gregory tells Jordan, "You are the other half of my soul."
Another favorite is him asking her, "Where have you been all my life?" Her reply, "I guess waiting for you to find me."
The book is a Young Adult Romance, but it does have some supernatural/paranormal activity and takes you on a historical journey of the past, in order for the characters to have a future. In essence, it is a good versus evil tale.
Wow! I thought it was just going to be a Young Adult Romance. I was not expecting some paranormal/supernatural powers or the added history to boot. This book took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I love this authors writing style! Gregory is an over the top, very protective young gentleman. Yes, you heard right a gentleman. In today's reading market you very rarely see one written as such, but this dude is old-fashioned extreme. I love that everything is kept tame, but you do feel the over the top swooning of the love between Gregory and Jordan. This first book kept me entertained, riveted and left wanting more of their story. I need to know, will they escape the darkness or will the dark witch win again? I hope love wins out this time. The romance between the two main characters is overwhelming. I love a good soul mate, love at first sight romance! I need more though! Hurry up with the second book!
Reading this book was fascinating. Jordan and Gregory were reunited through Fate. They were soulmates who were killed by a witch. Sounds bizzare ! The author has put paranormal in this romantic story. While reading at times I got worried for.both characters. Ray was the angel protecting Jordan. It took me longer to read this book. Finally done.
