Short rifts between the storm clouds are shining with the sun. Flashes of the gunfire are twinkling, reflecting in the raindrops, against the sunlight.
The hot bullet draws its trajectory from the black barrel of a gun through the boiling rain, disturbed grains of sand and the cut weed stalks; whistles above the gopher hole and, tearing the bark, bites into the shaken birch tree.
Suddenly my dear toy doggie, limping on its chopped off wooden paws and leaving round spots of blood on the floor, runs up to me: “Touch nothing – everything is poisoned.” I look at the black round footprints left by the toy and run away from it. It, thumping its wooden paws, catches up with me and warns me: “Don’t go any further. Your little sister is waiting for you in the little room. She has a little iron key ready, she’ll lock you up. She has already fired a little blue stove so you’ll be gassed with fumes. Your tongue will drop out.”
