I got the impression that this was written for a young adult audience, as it was written in a basic but clear non-technical level and not too details heavy.
The nonfiction was interspersed with some fiction, which I was not overly interested in.
I also spotted several typos and grammatical errors.

An interesting book. The ‘eye-witness’ accounts add to story. A good book for teenage readers interested in the bubonic plague

Real page turner! I love how they finished chapters with real diaries or letters- accounts of real people who have lived through this. It's amazing in it's real life horror!
