What’s the first thing you do when you notice the milk smells funny? You shove it under someone else’s nose and ask them if they think it stinks, too, right? It’s human nature. We all do it. So, when one of my Facebook friends said she wanted my opinion on this book because she’d been in the unpopular opinion crew when she didn’t like it, I dove right in. She asked me to smell the milk, and boy did I ever get a nose full of thick, chunky, WAY past its date milk. Blech.
Let me just list out all the crap that didn’t work for me here…
POV:
The entire story is told from Ryan’s (the hero’s) point of view. This would be fine if the hero was super interesting. I mean, Emma Chase and Lauren Blakely have written some AWESOME books from the male POV. But sadly, I’ve had dishwater in my sink that was more interesting than Ryan. He’s a typical rich white dude. He’s not a jerk, but he’s been pampered his whole life, and he comes complete with rich-drunk-mommy and horrible-cheating-daddy-who-never-really-loved me daddy issues. Ryan’s entire backstory is like a checklist for every rich white dude you’ve ever read about or seen on TV. Boooooorrrrrrriiiiiiinnnnnggggg…
Allee:
Allee, the heroine, is (I think) supposed to be “refreshingly blunt” and spunky. What she is, in actuality, is a bossy biotch. She first meets the hero when he approaches her as a museum visitor. She’s a tour guide. So, she’s at work, and when he asks her a polite, professional question, she insults his job, his employer, and makes fun of him for obviously having money. Then she spends the rest of the book smirking, bossing him around, jerking him around, and keeping secrets from him. What a gal.
Cartoonish secondary characters:
From Ryan’s parents, to Ryan’s ex, Charlotte, to the best-friend-who-thinks-with-his-dick sidekick, Duffy, the secondary characters in this book are so one-dimensional and cliche that they’re cartoonish. Not that Ryan and Allee are much better, but still, good secondary characters can elevate a good book to a great book. The secondary characters here took this book from crappy to crappier (in my opinion).
The ending:
I won’t give away the ending. I will tell you that this is NOT a romance. Romances can be counted on for HEA endings. This ending is NOT that. It’s not even a HFN. (It’s not a cliffhanger, either, if that’s what you’re thinking) I wasn’t particularly invested in the story by the end because I hated both lead characters, but if I’d been enjoying the story up until that point, I would have been PISSED at that ending. Don’t call your book a romance if you can’t promise a HEA or a HFN ending. You’re lying to yourself (and your readers) if you think your book is a romance and there’s no happy ending. To the author I would suggest re-classifying the book as Women’s Fiction.
Odds and ends:
1. The hero’s last name is Madewell. If you’re going to be that obvious with the name, why not just name him Studly McGiantCock and be done with it?
2. Ryan is a wimp. Not a beta hero, mind you, because I don’t mind beta heroes vs. alphas at all. Ryan is the kind wimp who lets a woman he wants to break up with insult the woman he actually wants to be with, then lets her lead him away by the ear. Then, as if that wasn’t emasculating enough, he stands idly by and watches while she cuts up his clothes and throws things at his head. Sensitive heroes are fine, but I have no tolerance for wimps. He doesn’t even take charge in the bedroom. Allee calls all the shots there.
3. Ryan and Allee meet once, see each other the next day, and she offers to go with him to his apartment to give him a massage. I’m side-eyeing Allee pretty hard at this point. Does she have no concern for her personal safety? What if Ryan was a sicko serial killer who wanted to lock her in his basement pit? A single gal’s gotta think about those kinds of things these days.
4. On date one, in plain view (with an old lady watching), Allee gives Ryan a blowjob under the table in a restaurant. But afterwards, Ryan thinks it’d be “rushing things” to invite her home with him. Really? So, public blowjobs are appropriate date 1 behavior, but having her sleep over would just be taking it too far? If this is how the young people are operating these days, I’m glad I’m an old married lady.
5. I won’t give too much of the plot away, but Allee is keeping several secrets from Ryan. One such secret SHOULD have made her insist on practicing safe sex. She was perfectly willing to go without a condom because he “couldn’t get her pregnant.” Well, what about STDs, sister? Those are still an issue for both of you.
6. Weird language. Ryan’s mother drools a line of dialogue at one point in the story. Ryan “pummels” into Allee during a sex scene. And after the pummeling, Allee berates Ryan because she’d told him to f*uck her, not make love to her. Yeah, because pummeling is just so, so romantic.
7. The plot “twists” are visible from space, just like the Great Wall of China.
8. At one point, Allee gets a dream opportunity to study in Paris. Ryan’s first words to her? “What about me?” Way to be supportive, dude. Then, so that she doesn’t get away and achieve her dreams, he slaps the matrimonial leg shackles on her. That’d be a great story to tell the grandkids. “Well, you see kids, daddy was afraid mommy would get away and leave daddy by himself, so daddy proposed.” Yuck.
Overall, this one missed the mark on so many levels that I struggled to even give it one star. But because offering a 0 star or 0.5-star rating isn’t an option on Goodreads, I gave it a full 1. What can I say? I’m lazy like that.

2 ½ Undying stars
”True love doesn’t have a happy ending because true love never ends.” ~Barbara Johnson
Undying Love was told completely in Ryan Madewell’s pov. As a reader, I usually go crazy for a male pov in a book, however, for this story, I think a dual pov would have benefited the story and the connection to Allee Adair his love interest. That being said, I didn’t connect to Allee at all!
Ryan’s pov left me kinda blah. I found the majority of the story very rushed but the overall idea okay. The sex scenes were pretty much hit or miss for me as well.
Allee’s secret was pretty evident from the get go. Anyways, when the book approached the big heartbreak I didn’t feel connected to either character to care.
At least they had Paris!
Please go forth, and read quite possibly this book just wasn’t for me.

Horrible!!! I didn't get past about 40% when I found out she was a hooker. In looking at the back I saw where Allee, the main character, dies!!! UGH. Glad I didn't finish.

So beautiful and heartbreaking. Things are blissful and wonderful, a few bumps in the road, but Ryan and Allee's love grows. And then the unthinkable happens. It's heartbreakingly true to life in the fact that sometimes life isn't fair. I cannot wait to see what's next!

Going into this book I was expecting an emotional read and damn, that ending was a hit to my heart, crazy.
Received and ARC in exchange for an honest review
Ryan and Allee’s story was insane, I wasn’t expecting anything that happened and a whole lot of drama happened which gets me to my next point.
I feel like some of this book was rushed and so much happened at once. When Ryan found out what Allee had been doing it was like “yeah yeah thats ok” and the next minute he was proposing but in reality nobody would forgive that so quickly. I tried so hard to just stick with it but I found myself skipping through a few of the scenes mostly out of irritation for one of the leading characters which put the book down to a 2.5 star rating for me and that saddens me so much because I do love me a Nelle book.
Then the ending came around and damn, I thought my heart was going to break from all the sadness, their love wasn’t for long but it was mighty strong, my eyes got all watery hotting the rating up to 3.5 Stars.
Although I didn’t quite click with this book I can’t wait to get started on the next book, I’m sure hoping Ryan has better luck than in this one.

Well done Nelle! It was a privilege to be asked to read this book. I not only cried, I wept. Ryan and Allee's story captivated me from the beginning. I couldn't put it down because it was filled with passion, steamy love scenes and unexpected twists. I believe that with an open mind books can truly help us find what our hearts and minds are in need of at that moment. OMG what a beautiful yet tragic and heartbreaking love story which was told completely in Ryan Madewell’s POV. Undying Love is the story of Ryan and Allee. Allee is 24 yrs old and she is totally nuts about art. When Ryan lays eyes on Allee while at the Met, he feels this instant connection and knows there is something really special about her and finds he is drawn to her. She's the opposite of everything he is. Yet Allee is more of a mystery. Ryan we know more about-his life, childhood, job , fears and wants while Allee not so much. What we do know is Ryan falls for her and soon they are dating. As their story progresses, we learn some secrets of Allee’s and Ryan does struggle with what he finds out but his love for Allee keeps him around and present but it was hard at times for Ryan will do anything for Allee. There is a huge twist that happens in this story and all I can say is keep your box of tissues handy. As I type my review up, I am sitting here crying. I don’t know how Nelle L'Amour wrote this book but OMG…im just done for. I know there is going to be a book two that will continue this story in someway which is good because it ended on a cliffhanger of sort. I just have to say this story will stay with you for awhile after it has been read. Ryan and Allee had a love and that love was true.

"Because, Allee Adair, I'm suffocating without you. You're the air I need to breathe."
I am completely heartbroken. I cried and I'm still teary eyed. I don't think I should be writing this review right now, especially right after finishing Undying Love, but I can't wait and I really want to pour out my heart.
What a beautiful and sad story. Now I understand when Nelle told me to get the tissues ready. I had no idea what to expect and let me tell you that I did NOT see that tragedy coming. I am so so so so so so so so so so so SAD. Like "OMMMMMMMMMMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO why is this happening?!!?!? I'm uncontrollably crying" sad.
Undying Love is the story of Ryan and Allee. Allee is a 24-year old woman who is passionate about art. When Ryan lays his eyes on her at the Met, he instantly knew that there was something special about her. He was drawn by her and couldn't help but wanting her. After falling for each other, Allee and Ryan become a couple in love. However, Allee is hiding secrets from Ryan. Will Ryan and Allee's relationship survive those hidden secrets?

Allee... She was very mysterious and troubled. I had no idea what was going on in her head and it really intrigued me. I wanted to get to know her more and understand her. I find that some of her actions were not explained. For example, she always wanted to pay half of everything when she went out with Ryan and wouldn't accept hi buying her expensive gifts. I understand her not wanting or needing his money to prove that she is independent, but it wasn't really explained. I also find that her past should have been more explained and that there should have been a part concentrating on explaining her childhood. I feel like it was just brought up and then quickly dismissed.
Ryan... he was incredibly sweet, handsome and cute. He was the overall package. At first, I wasn't really "attracted" to him because he was a little too soft for my liking, but he made up for it by being the most loving and passionnate man. He broke my heart. His love for Allee was beautiful and refreshing. They really deserved each other and I was so happy that they loved each other deeply. Although I find that their relationship very quickly developped (too quickly- he instantly fell in love with her right after breaking up with his ex-girlfriend Charlotte. It was a bit unrealistic), the rest of their relationship was perfect and examplary. I absolutely fell in love with Ryan and Allee.
Undying Love made me extremely happy and extremely sad. This story will stay in my heart forever. I will always remember the deep heartbreaking love they had. I am very happy to know that their story with continue in Endless Love. Can't wait to see what's in store for Ryan.

4 Stars!!
First and foremost, grab some kleenex when you read this book. I cried. And not just little tears here and there. I like actually sobbed at one point.
It is a wonderful love story and I definitely went through the emotions.
The story follows Ryan and Allee. Their connection is instant. She's the opposite of everything he is "supposed" to be with and they can't help the passion and chemistry between them. The story is told from Ryan's POV so we know a lot about him, his life, what he does. What we don't know a lot about is Allee. And this goes on throughout the book. Her life is a little mysterious, she doesn't have many people close to her and slowly we learn a little more and more.
Allee makes Ryan be a better person. She encourages him to follow his dreams and passions. She doesn't sugar coat her feelings if she doesn't like something. Ryan is completely head over heals in love with her.
As their story evolves, we learn some secrets of Allees. Ryan struggles with these discoveries in different ways. He is torn between what he knows and how he feels for Allee. But of course in the end love wins out.
Ryan will do anything for Allee and he proves his love for her throughout the whole book. He makes her dreams come true in the time they have together. He gives her opportunities and experiences that she may never had found without him. Their love and passion for eachother is so prominent throughout the book.
I really loved the authors writing. The story was quick but never felt rushed. I could feel the emotions in her writing and the love the characters had for each other was simply amazing.
The story was beautiful. It was passionate. I was happy, sad, frustrated, angry and then sad again and then happy again. It was just like a rollercoaster for feelings and I love that in a book. I will definitely be reading more from Nelle L'Amour.
I also really like how the book ended even though it wasn't likely the HEA you want. I feel that Ryan's story isn't over and that he will one day get that HEA that he needs. I can honestly say that after reading the book I was completely ok with how it ended. I feel like the story continues even after I was done reading it and that everything is going to work out.

I enjoyed this book! I knew going into it that there wouldn’t be a happily ever after as the author warns everyone before they read it.
I wanted to give this book 4 stars but I felt like a lot of the portions of the book were rushed. It seemed is the beginning everything was going smoothly timeline wise and then everything start happening where months would go by in the timeline.
I feel like both characters Ryan and Allee were defined great in the book – Nelle pulled you in and made you connect with both characters. Ryan was a romantic! He wanted to love Allee like no other and he was very very charismatic.
Allee was a strong independent character and I fell in love with her. She didn’t want anything handed to her and she worked hard for everything she had. In the beginning she put her wall up afraid of getting to close and as soon as Ryan started breaking those walls down, Allee pushed him away. Ryan was determined to win her love back.
“Because, Allee Adair, I’m suffocating without you. You’re the air I need to breathe.”
I thought going into this book that I had everything figured out and although I had a few there was a curveball thrown my way that I did not see coming! Wow!!
Ryan and Allee shared a strong bond and passionate love for one another. Ryan loved Allee like there was no tomorrow. He was sweet, caring, romantic, and totally swoon worthy.
“It’s okay, baby. I’m here. No one’s going to hurt you.”
Ryan Madewell was Allee’s very own personal superhero. He saved her with the love he gave her and she loved him more for that.
“You, Ryan Madewell, are my Superman.”
I feel like Nelle L’Amour told a beautiful story about two people that were destined to cross paths and love one another. I felt like some of the story was rushed. Now, I know there is a book 2 in this series and I understand why she stopped this story where she did. There have been many 5 star ratings for this book so I don’t want you to see 3.5 stars and think I didn’t like it, because I did. I am always nervous about doing a review for anything less than a 4 star but I want you to know that I did enjoy reading this story. It was beautiful, loving, strong, passionate and yes it made me cry!!! Beautiful story Nelle, and I can’t wait to read book 2!

I haven't been this emotionally invested in a book in a very long time. Without knowing the synopsis of the story I started reading and was unsure of the direction it was going to go in. At first I thought it was just the story of a rich playboy and his quest to find true love but it turned into so much more than that. It ended up being a heart wrenching tear jerker of a love/life story.
Ryan Madewell IV comes from an extremely rich family. His father, an overbearing heartless business tycoon, expects him to take over the family business and marry into another wealthy family. His mother is a champagne drinking socialite who has the "look the other way" mentality about her husbands indiscretions. His sister Mimi has been disowned b/c of her sexual orientation and marriage to her female partner. This family is basically as messed up as they come. Not to mention that fact that he's "engaged" to a younger version of his mother. Amidst all the darkness and chaos Ryan finds a shining light, Allee Adair. Everything about her is understated and so beautiful, her flippant personality draws him in. He's pretty much hooked from day one. While her attitude towards him often got on my nerves it all becomes clear in the end why she acts the way she does. She's been hiding quite a few BIG life changing secrets. Once they both got on the same page relationship wise, I absolutely adored the two of them together.
This story was just plan amazing. It had me in tears, I was a sobbing mess! It was so well written, and the story just flowed so beautifully. I felt their pain like it was my own, and couldn't put it down until everything was resovled. The characters were well developed and so very real. So many topics were covered in this book, and in some cases it was just one shocker after another.
I can't praise this book enough! It ends at 77% (on my Kindle) but the author gives you a look into the next book, Endless Love. Its only the first 2 chapters but enough to hook you in 110%!!! I can't wait to read it.

I got an ARC of Undying Love from Nelle L'Amour with a personal warning from her... be prepared to cry! With that in mind, I set off on a personal mission to read as much as possible without spilling a tear...
The story follows Ryan Madewell (love the name btw!) and his quest to break away from becoming the heir to his Father's publishing empire and to pursue his dream of becoming a writer. On a trip to The Met to search for inspiration for his next article, he meets Allee Adair, a tour guide at the museum. Everything about Allee is so different from his current, soon to be ex-girlfriend, Charlotte. Allee is rough around the edges, whereas Charlotte is refined and comes from old money in New York City. Allee is not afraid to be herself and tell it like it is, whereas Charlotte is used to being catered to and looking down upon those who are not from within her inner-circe.
Allee guides Ryan to a little known Picasso painting and inspires him to write his article from his heart. Ryan begins to admire Allee's attitude and quickly falls for her and the obvious differences from Charlotte.
I won't give away too much of the book, but I will say this. I really enjoyed watching Ryan pursue Allee and leave Charlotte behind. I felt like Allee's character was strong and fearless and it was nice to see that she didn't lose herself while falling in love with Ryan. She continued to stay true to herself and not let his money or name change who she was.
So where do the tears come in? I won't give that away, but I will admit that if I hadn't been in the presence of my children while reading, I would've cried when the ending came near. It was so touching how Ryan honored his love and commitment to Allee and how she remained strong throughout the book. The ending wasn't a HEA, but by the ending of the book, you know that a HEA is definitely in store for the next book.
I give Undying Love four stars.

Have you ever read a book that from the first page you knew it was going to stay with you? I cannot stop thinking about this story! The words flowed beautifully and the last thing I wanted to do was stop reading. Especially to go to the grocery store!
The Undying Love Ryan and Allee had for each other was felt with each page I read. They had their trials in the beginning but, Ryan’s love for Allee was already so strong, he would do anything and everything to gain her’s.
Ryan is rich. He has a driver, a nice home and he wants to share it with Allee. What he doesn’t have is his parent’s approval. In anything. When his father threatens Ryan with his job if he doesn’t leave Allee, he quits. When his father tries to give him a check for an insane amount of money, he gives it back. Its Ryan’s way of saying, I’m done with you.
Together they forge their own path and make plans for their future. However, they are quickly taken off that path.
At this point I had to stop reading several times, just to allow my heart to dislodge from my throat. Too soon the story was over. This heartbreakingly awesome story will be continued and I can’t wait for more. Ryan and Allee grabbed a hold of me and they have yet to let go.

First I have to say that i waa beyond honored to have received an ARC from Nelle L'Amour, and as honored that I was, I was also anxious to read. PLEASE BE AWARE that i was highly advised that i would need some kleenex while reading it and let me tell you Ms. L'Amour delivered. The book had it all. This book surely tugged at your heart. For me it let me in a great way Emotional drained. Because you felt the emotions, the love and hands down Undyling Love its a must read.

It got to the point that I couldn't see the words in front of me because the tears were in the way. I loved that the book was from a guys point of view. I was given the heads up that this book did not have a HEA. Which I'm thankful for. It was hot & steamy yet comical and romantic. I enjoyed it very much and would def recommend it. Thank you Nelle for such a beautiful story. ❤ Mags.

What can I say? This book made me smile, it made me cry, it made my pulse race. I was totally absorbed in Ryan & Allees story.
Nelle L'Amour has balanced romance, steamy scenes & a beautiful story in a way not many manage.

I really wanted to like this book. I really, really did. And it was in no way, shape or form awful. It was a decent book but it didn't blow my socks off. I just felt like this was the first draft of a book that was going to be amazing, but that wasn't quite there yet.
I'm no professional reviewer and I've had no real or formal training in literature or anything like that. All I'm going to give you is how this book made me feel and what it didn't make me feel. From there, do what you like with my opinion. Go out and get the book and try it! Read other reviews to get a more rounded view point. Anything. I guess I'm re-iterating this point because this is a tough book for me to review. But instead of pussy-footing around the issue, let's jump in...
First, let's talk about the heroine. The heroine is usually what makes or breaks a novel for me. I have got to love her, or at least like her. In Undying Love, I felt like we didn't get a complete picture of our heroine, Allee. I'm thinking that this is one of the reasons that I felt like I couldn't connect to her. Sure, she was sassy, just like the description says. But most of the time, she was less sassy and more just bitchy and rude. We get next to nothing of her background but we get paragraphs about her "ass" and her "tits". Ugh. I understand that when writing a romance novel or an erotic romance, that eventually, you're going to run out of polite euphemisms for a man's member, a woman's lady bits but its less jarring if its used properly. You can't just throw out "tits" like you would "blouse". Anyway, I wanted to like Allee because she seemed like my kind of heroine - she's got a dry sense of humor and doesn't pull her punches. She knows who she is and for sure knows who she isn't. I think I could have absolutely adored Allee if she had been a little bit more fully formed. One of the great things about the book was that Allee has a secret. Well, she has two secrets. But I'm talking about her second job. The secret truth about her second job is HUGE and has a serious impact on the characters but I figured out what it was pretty quickly. I think that it was dealt with in a very real and honest way and I really enjoyed that aspect of it. I don't want to give any details because I want you to go through the honest emotions as you read it.
Next is our hero, Ryan Madewell. I had a tough time getting past his last name. Why would you call your character such an obvious name? Why not give up all pretense and call him Scotty Lotsacock? Or really go out there and name him Cockpump McGee? I mean, come on! But that's just me and I'm nick picking a little TOO much. Ryan was probably a pretty ok guy. He's filthy, stupid rich and he doesn't really work for his money. He has a job as a managing editor at one of his father's magazines but he even says that he works just to stay sane. It's not really a passion of his and he doesn't really need to do it. Ugh, save me from rich Manhattan-ites. I don't know a lot about the wealthy and well-to-do of New York City and to be honest, I couldn't care less. They all seem pretty pretentious to me so it was hard to warm up to Ryan at first. But he does eventually win you over. We get plenty of information about Ryan but I still feel like we're just scratching the surface with him. The main thing about Ryan is that he wants to be a writer. He writes these short stories in his spare time and he's hoping to make it his full time gig, someday. Despite some of the issues I had with character building, I found myself really rooting for Ryan. He seemed like he was a decent, normal person who happened to be born into this world of privilege and false pretenses. I felt awful that his parents were so crappy and I was glad when I saw that he was going to be happy with Allee! Another cool thing about the book is that its written entirely from Ryan's POV. I think that was one of the main reasons that I kept reading Undying Love, when I wanted to quit several times. I figured that I owed it to myself to read something that is so unique in the romance genre.
Now, there is TONS of Sexy Time in Undying Love. So we get plenty of opportunities to see Ryan and Allee together. They may be opposites in the real world, but in the bedroom, they are perfect for each other. But I also think that they're kind of perfect for each other outside of the bedroom too. Allee does NOT give Ryan even an inch of wiggle room! If she thinks he's BS'ing her about something, she calls him on it. If she thinks his short story is crap, she tells him so. I think that Ryan needs someone like that in his life... someone who can tell it like it is and not mince words but at the same time who also loves Ryan like crazy. And that person is definitely Allee.
Undying Love is Book 1 in a series but I don't think its going to be a series that travels in a linear fashion. I bet this is going to be very unique. The end of the book isn't a cliffhanger, per say, but I think you're going to want to check out the next installment. Be sure to bring along a box of tissues when you read this because its going to rip your heart out, throw it on the ground, stomp on it, set it on fire, pick it up and throw it at you! LOL! Seriously, it was a major tear-jerker. I can't imagine how devastated I would be if I had fully connected with both characters.
Although I only gave this book 3 stars, I didn't hate it. I just wanted more from it. It wasn't bad. I really liked the story. I think that it would have been better if we had been able to see not just from Ryan's POV, but from Allee's too. If you connect with these characters even a little bit, this is going to be a book that stays with you for a long time to come. My first Nelle L'Amour story. What a great way to be introduced to a new to me author.
Overall, the story was enjoyable. I knew there was going to be something angsty that would tug at my heartstrings but I wasn't prepared for what L'Amour dished. I really liked the character development and how the quirkiness of Allee played off the more conservative but alpha Ryan. It made for some funny and some very sexy interactions.
There were a few times, I wished L'Amour had explored other subplots in the storyline-- especially Ryan's family. So it seemed the story was a bit rushed when I wanted to revel in Allee and Ryan's building relationship.
I did however, like the balance of emotions in this story and some of the most endearing scenes in this book did many things to my literary heart.
I look forward to reading the follow up book Endless Love to see where L'Amour takes the characters.

DNF because this was awful.
Just because a book is written by a NY Times and USA Today best-selling author, this does not guarantee that everything they write is good.
Case in point, this book.
First off, waaayyyyy too many exclamation points!!!!!!! There was at least one per paragraph. I’m pretty sure there’s another way to get your point across strongly.
Second, this book reads like the first-person musings of a man, but written by a woman who thinks that men actually think that way. It struck me as just odd. For all of the chapters I read, I had to double check that the narrator was a man, because he really sounded like a woman.
Third, the writing was juvenile. Over-abundant use of exclamation points, juvenile emotions and behaviors.
Fourth, and this is just a personal preference of mine, but I prefer the man to be the man and take charge. Allee seemed to be the man in that pairing, and it was more than her simply needing to control the activity. It was like what I was saying earlier - there was a complete gender reversal, and not in a good way.
Finally, I just couldn’t get Allee. She went from arctic to blowing him under the table in a diner in a matter of nanoseconds. Did not make sense, and was way OTT.
Not gonna finish his one, I’ve read all that I can stand to.

Second, this book reads like the first-person musings of a man, but written by a woman who thinks that men actually think that way. It struck me as just odd. For all of the chapters I read, I had to double check that the narrator was a man, because he really sounded like a woman.
Third, the writing was juvenile. Over-abundant use of exclamation points, juvenile emotions and behaviors.
Fourth, and this is just a personal preference of mine, but I prefer the man to be the man and take charge. Allee seemed to be the man in that pairing, and it was more than her simply needing to control the activity. It was like what I was saying earlier - there was a complete gender reversal, and not in a good way.
Finally, I just couldn’t get Allee. She went from arctic to blowing him under the table in a diner in a matter of nanoseconds. Did not make sense, and was way OTT.
Not gonna finish his one, I’ve read all that I can stand to.

This is the story of Ryan and Allee, who are total opposites, yet so perfect together. This is a heartbreaking, yet hauntingly beautiful story, which has secrets, twist, and love. Have the tissues on hand for this one!! Brilliant work from this talented author, and I cannot wait to read the sequel.

As you can expect from the title of this book Undying Love may not have a happy ending. My take on this book is that it is filled with so much love, emotion, heartbreak, and least of all happiness. A love story that will have you heart racing and maybe some tears too.
In the beginning of this story Ryan and Allee meet at the Met. Ryan is a rich, handsome, and chasing his dream at being a novelist. He is currently a art magazine reporter owned by his family. Allee is an art school grad working at the museum. She ends up showing Ryan a Picasso nude and flirting back and forth. The next thing we know is that Ryan and Allee have an undeniable attraction. She doesn't come from the kind of family he does. She had a rough childhood and doesn't think they will ever work out. They end up going on a few dates and although he feels something is off with her, he knows he want her to be his. It's not very hard to convince Allee, because deep down she want him just as much. They start an epic love affair that neither of them will ever forget. Allee does have some major secrets that come out and as shocking as they might be, their love doesn't falter. After they really start their lives together with no secrets standing in her way, that's when the bomb is dropped on them. Allee is sick and won't be getting better. Heart wrenching I know. Then you start asking yourself why? Why is this happening to them? Why can't these two get the happily ever after they so truly deserve? The only answer I can come up with is I have no clue. Sometimes things happen that is out of our control. It has nothing to do with are past mistakes or who we are. It just happens!
Allee and Ryan are so in love with each other. They compliment one another perfectly. They have so many dreams that they want to accomplish together. When they are together together there are real fireworks. They are two very passionate people who end up giving each other everything they have got. I really enjoyed their relationship through the book. Ryan was so sweet and forgiving of Allee's past mistakes. I just adored him. He was so honest with her, with his feelings. There were no games being played. Ryan and Allee were both very smart and mature. That was actually what I loved most about them. Adults acting like adults. When they are faced with this awful circumstance they address it in a very appropriate manner. Living each day to it's fullest. Telling the one you love everything that needs to be said. Things we never get the chance to say. After I finished this the first thing I thought of was how lucky I am, and that I need to hug the ones I love.
I would recommend you give this book a good read. Don't forget the tissues you may need them. Well at least I did. Last and not least I would like to point out that what made this book so wonderful was the writing. Nelle has a way of conveying a tasteful, believable, endearing story. If there was one word I would use to describe Undying Love it would be simply beautiful.
