For the first third of the book, maybe more, I didn't care for it. It wasn't exactly bad but it drags a bit in some parts. It's not a long book but I felt like I was constantly looking at what percentage I was at and thinking "I've only gone that far?" Then the characters aren't exactly likeable. I could not believe how much Rob put up with from his girlfriend all because she was beautiful. She was cruel, shallow, self-centered, likely a cheater, only cared about what dating Rob could get her, and wasn't there for him when he needed her. He saw regular proof of all of this and even periodically appeared disgusted by her behavior but then he would make excuses for her and dwell on how beautiful she was. He even let her bully him into treating others (namely Jessie) poorly. I didn't think any of that said much for the quality of his character. However, at some point in the book, (I'm not exactly sure when; it just kind of happened) I started to enjoy the story and looked forward to finding out how things would turn out for Rob and why Jessie was the way she was. So I was willing to overlook some of my earlier concerns. I still felt it took WAY too long for Rob to wake up and smell the coffee but at least he improved. The percentage of my book read started to fly by and before I knew it, I went to turn the page only to find I had just read the last page. Of course some of my surprise was due to the book having the briefest climax/conclusion ever. It was a bit of a let down. Still, I enjoyed reading the book for the most part so I'm not sorry I read it.

Sometimes....

There is a book that for one reason or another makes you feel more then other books do. This was the case for me with this book. I laughed and even cried (which for me is not the norm). The only reason I didn't give this book a perfect score is that I did find it hard to get into the story in the very beginning and I would have loved to have an epilogue at the end. The slow start almost made me give up on it and the ending was kinda left me wanting more. But over all I would read it again and would recommend it to any young adult readers to get it

I came half way trough the book than I decided to give up. The premise sounded like something I would like, but the characters were flat, Rob had no backbone and his girlfriend was such a mean girl. He knows this but just watches like a idiot how she is mean to Jessie.
Jessie, I don't understand her ( maybe that's because I did not finish the book), why is she always alone? why is the bulling not addressed? Why does she wear grandma clothes?
I liked Rick he sounds like a real good friend.

I'm undecided... I'll say 3.5 stars. I liked the storyline(s) and the writing was okay (could use a little more editing)... But it kind of threw me in the middle... The overall book was kind of crowded and busy? Not sure if that's the way to describe it. The story was going good and then all of sudden it was like reading a different book. It was fluid enough and didnt flow easy... Idk. That's just my opinion. Overall I don't regret buying and reading it.

2.5 stars This book moved very slowly. I kept looking to see how much I had left and was just like man...this is going to take forever. I kept getting frustrated with Rob as his girlfriend was horrible, and yet he just would go along with it. I didn't get it. I felt like the end was kind of sudden for how slowly the book progressed. It was alright, I enjoyed it, but I didn't love it.

what a lovely book!!! let me tell you something I was fairly frustrated for the most part of the book, just because mr rob was such a knob head hahaha... but besides that this book is really really good, it has everything, love, drama, heart breaking moments, seriously give this book a chance and give yourselves the opportunity to love it.

Story started well, but then got bogged down with too many details. Much of the details had nothing to do with story development.
