They always wished for the zombie apocalypse. They thought it would be fun. Of course, that was before it happened. Now all they want is a safe place to sleep at night and enough food to get through the day. It's not as much fun as best friends Vincent and Anthony thought it would be when they were teenagers. In fact it's not fun at all. Still, if they can find a safe place to stay they know they have the skills to survive. After all, haven't they seen every zombie movie ever made.
Not a bad little zombie yarn, but the distractingly odd word choice, and a POV that couldn't make up its mind if it wanted to be past tense or present tense took me out of the story more than a few times. The dialogue felt a little wooden in places, and the cliff-hanger ending (sequel bait) were rather off-putting for me.
