For the next eleven days all Amelia Adler wants is a nice relaxing vacation on the beach. All she’ll do is drink pineapple margaritas and read sexy steamy romance novels. She doesn’t want to think about the stress of her daily life nor the fact that she doesn’t know what to do with her life.

Craig Patrice just wants to spend his last spring break catching wave after waves during the day in the Pacific Ocean, and relax as much as he can at night. This is his last break before finishing law school and starting at a firm this upcoming summer. He has no desire for a fling or a girlfriend. All he wants is to buckle down and finish this year off right. That is until he gets a glimpse of his vacationing neighbor, and for the life of him, he can’t look away.

Though Craig and Amelia are somewhat reluctant for a relationship, they seem to find comfort in one another and can’t let go of each other. Finding romance on vacation is one thing, but can their relationship withstand the demand of real life and once their past catches up with them will believing in each other’s truth save their future.

OMG!!! I loved this book

I loved all the characters, and Amelia and Craig were so cute. And I laughed and smiled throughout the whole story.

For once there is a book not filled with the drama of keeping the couple apart, and the bullshit of the girl's emotional issues standing in between them. Amelia did have an interesting past but she's a strong person because of that.

At first I was kind of reluctant to read this book because I like a lot of drama in my stories, because let's face it, that's what makes a story, but this was cute and a breath of fresh air. The ending was kind of interesting and I'm excited to know what will happen next. I guess I am going to get the secrets and drama that I wanted in the next one. I like that this book is different from everything else. I think it's a good move from the author, because if all books were written the same it would be kind of boring.

Boy, were the sex scenes hot. I know there are others that are more x-rated, but this was cute and fit the couple.

I thought it was a great read. Something different with humor, a little bit of drama, and an exciting ending. Everyone should give this a try.

Oh my gosh!! I need more of this book! That was one cliffhanger, but the book was soooo good. I love Craig, he made me all:

And then there's Cory. Come on, there has to be a story about him.

For once there is a heroine that didn't piss me off. I like that Amelia is still strong even after all happened to her. She's still cute and sassy. I love all the other characters and I hope that after this there will be a story on Ben and Pen.

CANT WAIT FOR MORE!!

Sweet and Cute Read

I've been kind of in a mood lately because everything I was reading was kind of the same. I was reading about girls hooding up with the bad boy and how they can't stand to be with out each other and the drama that they have to come over and then the book ends. That's great and all but it was getting kind of boring, predictable really. Until I found Love of Truth.

I was laughing and yes, I was wait for that drama that Craig and Amelia would have to overcome. There were so many possibilities. Craig had to move, Amelia with her insecurities, but no. The author threw a curve ball out of no where and it was AWESOME

Totally did not see that ending coming. I seriously don't know why people are complaining about that because there's going to be more Craig and Amelia (super cute) and man I want to know what's going on with Ben and Pen. Then there's Cory, there has to be a book about that guy. OH and the steam factor, HOT but cute!

But seriously, that ending.. totally had to light one up after that one

This is my Craig:

Laugh out loud, AWESOME!!!

I don't know if I love this book because I'm Asian and Amelia is half Asian, but you don't see many stories written about Asian people, and yes, I read Crazy Rich Asians and this book is sooo much better.

I laughed, I teared, I awwed, and I was curious. It was an overall good book from a new author. I can't wait for the next one.

A MUST READ!!! A VERY FUN AND LIGHT READ

I had such a blast reading this book. The characters are so realistic I felt like I knew people like them in real life. The author did such a great job developing characters and paving the path for the series. I really hope there will be books for Ben and Cory.

Cons: The story did take a bit to get into, but the setting descriptions won't leave you bored. There were some grammatical errors, but I saw the note that a new edition that will be released. I think that's a good move on the author's part.

Pros: This book had me laughing, then tearing, and then on the edge of my seat. The characters relationships were so realistic that you couldn''t help but fall in love with the sweet couple, Craig and Amelia. This book was a great read for the between heavy drama kind of books, like Crossfire.

A LAUGH OUT LOUD, FUN READ

This book made me homesick for the Oregon coast. The author did such a great job with all the details and surroundings that Oregon has to offer. Down to Stumptown coffee. Miss that stuff. I might be partial to this book because of the setting but I can't say that I didn't enjoy the story.

I loved all the characters. I really really really want a story about Cory in the near future. I think that might be good funny read. I fell in love with the main characters right away and I can relate to Amelia in so many ways. I'm mean who hasn't found themselves lost at some point or another in their life. This book was totally different from what I thought it would be and I was so blown away from it. I don't think that I would want my daughter to read these types of books just yet, but this book had really good life lessons between the laugh out loud humor and cute romance that you can see slowly develop into hot and steamy.

I think that this is a light fun read for those who are looking for something light in between the heavy and intense drama stuff. I've been in a bit depression lately with books that have the couple break up, get back together, and repeat. Don't get me wrong those make great romance novels, but sometime you just need a bit of fresh air, and that's what this was.

I saw what some reviewers said about the ending and I can't disagree. I need soooo much and I need it NOW!

EVERYONE MUST READ!!!!!!

This book was so ... I have no idea what to say about it. It was funny, then cute, and then the ending came out of no where.

I saw a lot of the reviews saying that the book was bad because the author changed the ending and made it a cliffhanger. I don't like hangers myself, and I saw on her Facebook that it's not coming out until winter, but I think it's going to be an exciting one. I'm mean come on how did you not see it coming. Amelia was taught all this stuff about self defense, it had to come down to something like that. I'm so excited.

I can't believe this book was put up for free and it's so awesome! Can't wait for more. Well done CT Oliver.

I loved this book. I connected with Amelia right away and I loved that Craig was someone that she needed. I liked that the author set it up so that they had time to get to know each other and then fall in love. They didn't just jump into bed with each other right away like most of the books. I loved the chemistry that she set up between them. I can't believe that this was her first book. I think that the author did a great job. I can't wait for more.

Bravo to the author!

Such a great read. I was so sad how the book ended, but I look forward to more. I hope Oliver will release the next one soon. This book had me laughing and then sad because I can relate with the situations and then curious at the ending. It is not a predictable read, that's for sure. I want to know what will come next so badly.

I saw a review saying that there were people who did not want to read this book. Are you serious? It was such a good book. Why would you not want to read this? Was it because she's a new author? Well, you know what? They all started out new. And for a new author, Oliver did great job capturing real life emotions, setting up scenery, and developing characters and their personalities. I look forward to reading more from this author. I hope that those who turned her town would reconsider, because if not, you're missing out on a very enjoyable read.

I laughed out loud so much my boyfriend was wondering what I was doing. I could not put this book down. This book was very funny read that left me wanting more. I did feel that I was cheated out at the end, but I am very interested to see where this story is going to go. I love love Larry so much. I love all the characters. Everyone of them was very well developed and realistic. The thing that I wished was different was that if the author would have split up the POV into two books. This one be Amelia and the next one Craig. But the way it is is okay too.

I personally love how Craig is with Amelia and I love how the female character is not bitchy and whiney and childish like a lot of female characters in recent books. Amelia is very rational and strong to stand on her own and in a way I think that Craig is attracted to that. Anyway, I'm rambling on.

POINT TO TAKE AWAY: READ THIS BOOK! IT'S A GOODREAD!!!!

After finishing this book I felt so... I have no idea how to describe it...I was really disappointed because I wanted more, and I'm excited that there's going to be more. I was really sad because I immediately missed all the characters in the book. I connected with all them and they were so real to me. I loved Blu. I really want to know what's going on with Ben and Pen. Amelia, I just adore her. I'm just, I'm speechless! I want to know what's going to happen so badly. Cannot wait for more. It was such a great book. Very new an exciting what the author did with this book.

RIDICULOUS!!!
I force myself up to 40%, LMAO the whole time!
The girl knows and does everything a guy do, but she's like a poor little creature the Guy wants to protect...
- She's a nerd, studies chemistry, hikes, runs, surf, does martial arts, cooks and bake anything to perfection, doesn't watch chick movies, like the EXACT same music as he does, best friend is gay and hair stylist, best female friend own a magazine, has some kind of trouble past, says she has a problem with trusting people-thought it doesnt stop her to have 3 strangers at her house the first- or was it second - night...
And... She's fucking expert in guns! Like sniper expert...
Oh but perfect explanations for this : her dad is a fucking sniper military legend! Off course!
Come on! This book is full of clichés, i cant read anymore of this.
No need to read anymore, im not even half of the story and look what she can do already!
Does she save the world at the end or something?
Short story short : DNF-F ( as in Did Not Fucking Finished)

I just have to get this off my chest first: I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!

Amelia is a very realistic character. She's smart, independent, and all around the girl next door. I don't usually fall for the heroine of the story, but I have such a girl crush on her. I think she's the girl that we all secretly want to be. And the way the story is written, you would want for her and Craig to work out. I like Craig, but I love Cory more, and I'll leave it as that. I also want to know what's going on with Ben and Pen, they sound interesting. And you have to love someone like Blu. I think all the girls in their twenties should have a Blu in their lives.

The ending is kind of like "WTF no, that can't be yet?!" But I guess you kind of have to expect something big at the end. I can't wait for more from this author. For a first book, I think she did a great job.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go reread it again because I need a good laugh.

I don't usually write reviews, but I had to say something about this book. I had such a fun time reading this story. It is not something you're expecting too. From the cover I thought it was going to be a dark, mysterious, kind of love story, but it's the complete opposite. It's light and playful, with some adventure and so gosh darn funny!! The heroine is kick ass strong but very cute! And the hero had me licking my lips. I've read other erotica that left me hot and squirmy, as did this one, but this one is very tastefully done. It's a very sweet love story with an exciting ending. I really want the next book because I need to know what happens next!!!

This is such a great novel from a new author. I had a chance to talk to her via FB because I needed to tell her to hurry up with the next book and she is the sweetest and kindest person. Show her some support and review this GREAT book.

I received an ARC from this new author in exchange for an honest review.
I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars if that was available, but I felt it was closer to a 5 than a 4.....

Catching some sun, having adventures, cooking good food, lounging with a good book, playing with her sidekick Larry (the dog), and enjoying catching up with friends--that's all Amelia Adler has planned for her beach side vacation. That is until she locks eyes with her gorgeous neighbor Craig Patrice. Love of Truth by CT Oliver follows two people who meet on vacation and have an instant connection, but can that connection last once they get back into the real world?

Amelia has been on her own a long time and has been burned by men in the past, so she is leery of trusting Craig and his compliments. Craig, also has had a bad relationship in the past, but realizes that this connection with Amelia is rare and wants to give the relationship his all. As they spend more and more time together on vacation, Amelia opens up and learns to trust Craig and his compliments. This is where I think Ms. Oliver did a great job, she slowly has Amelia adjusting to the alpha male personality that Craig has, but Amelia still keeps her independent nature. The connection between Amelia and Craig is palpable and oh-so-steamy!

Craig and Amelia aren't alone on this vacation, there is a strong cast of supporting characters that only enhance the story. Sometimes side characters get too much "page time" but with these, there's just enough. My only hope is that eventually some of the supporting characters get their own books!

During the first third of the book there are a few awkward paragraphs and "thoughts" coming from the men, that I really couldn't imagine any man thinking. However, the hilarious one liners and witty dialogue make up for the stilted paragraphs. By chapter two I was laughing out loud at the antics of the characters.

One of the things that makes this book different is that it switches back and forth between Amelia and Craig's point of view. That way we get inside both of their heads in a first person point of view book. It also amazes me how much knowledge Ms. Oliver has on different subjects that the characters engage in.

This is a strong debut from a brand new author. This is a perfect book for the summer that I did not want to put down! (And any book that features a loveable puppy is a favorite!)

I read this book two times since I downloaded the first version last month and I've been reading it slowly the second time to savor everything. The characters are downright funny and real. The dialogue is one of my favorite thing about this book. This book is just RAW with emotions and REAL! The couple is so sweet and the sex scenes are sweet and slowly gets very steamy - that's what makes it realistic. The couple doesn't jump into bed right away, they slowly build chemistry through their attractions for each other. I like that a lot.

I was sad to see that this is the only piece of work from this author. I wished there was more. I hope the second book is released soon I really want to know what happens next. I really hope that there will be individual stories for Ben and Cory. I love Cory so much!!

I LOVED this book! There was humor and some emotional aspect and then a different ending then what you'd expect. I didn't really liked the cliffhanger, but I'm excited that there's more to come. I loved Craig. He's gentle and caring. And for once there isn't a female character that I hated. I loved this book and recommended it to all my friends. Loved it!

ARC provided by first time author for honest review

Love of Truth is a story following a very independent caring young woman Amelia on her Spring break to a beach house off the coast of Oregon. Amelia is excited to have the peace and quiet to do as she pleases with her side kick Larry! Not only is Amelia independent she is feisty, adventurous, a great cook, and loves to surf...so why is she single? She has endured more heartache than most for a lifetime which leads her to being unable to trust therefore she has thrown herself into her studies where she is well protected by her work...until she meets the vacationing neighbors at the beach!

Craig is a hard working, former army special forces sniper, law school student, with a future laid out in front of him. Tired of the typical bimbos and users he pulls himself off the market and sticks with his plans for the future. A prior run in with cray cray also has a little bit to do with his solo path. Craig is eyeing Amelia across the way for the first time as he is explaining why he doesn't need a "relationship" when their eyes meet.

Craig and Amelia notice each other from the start and have more in common than most couples. Craig is not only drawn to her because of this but also adores how Amelia cares about others. There is a draw to each other neither have ever felt before but will Amelia let Craig in? Is Amelia worth it for Craig to "adjust" his future plans?

There are some sexy steamy scenes in this very sweet story which starts off and ends very strong but the middle starts to lag. Transitioning from the vacation to real life was stretched out more than what was needed, in my opinion..but since the characters are so likable the reader is not bored. The writing is superb and CT has a knack for capturing a moment and setting up the scene. The story is very sweet and as they get to know each other the steam factor increases in the sex scenes.

I am a sucker for a good cover and developed supporting cast. I love when an author spends time not only developing the main characters but also developing the supporting cast. Cory and Ben had me laugh out loud and I would love to read a story where Cory finds a woman that intrigues him more than a meatball sub! There is so much still to be told about Ben and Pen both characters left me wanting to know more about them. Blu has so much more depth to share as well. The need and love these friends have for each other is heart warming. Each character is flawed just enough that makes the reader wanting more of each of them.

Thank you to CT for allowing and trusting me to review her first book with a handful of ladies. CT is a talented young lady who I believe we will see much more from. Her obsession with David Gandy is REAL, evident, and appreciated in Love of Truth. I so appreciated the references to him and the three piece double breasted navy blue suit...I know that picture!

Overall Love of Truth is a solid performance for a first book and I see an exciting future in C.T.'s future.

What the H?!

When I initially looked at this book, I didn't realize it would be a trilogy.

This book is your typical romance for about 98% of it. But than things get weird-and kind of scary-at the very end.

I'm just shocked. This was an unexpected turn of events in a novel I've read. I like it.

Amelia and Craig are sickly cute together. Gosh, it's like an overload of love and affection. Their nice little vacation romance extends into the city and finally they talk about forever. It's not to shocking- I've been expecting the HEA. But than we're introduced to crazy people and stalkers...

Now that I'm thinking about it more... This is kind of a cool idea-romance with some action/suspense. Very interesting.

After finishing C.T. Oliver’s Love of Truth, I believe I stared at my Kindle for a solid ten minutes wondering what the heck just happened. What I thought was a nice sweet romance novel quickly and unexpectedly morphed into a thriller with a teaser ending that promises more excitement in the follow-up sequel. Oliver devotes a good portion of the book developing the romance between protagonists, Amelia and Craig, delving into their backstories so that readers can better understand the two characters. All of the seemingly random tidbits of information piece together to create clues that ultimately lead up to a shocking cliffhanger.
What I like about this book is its relative lack of drama – at least until the last few chapters. Yes, Amelia has certain insecurities, which make her hesitant about opening up to Craig, but for the most part, the mood is laidback and the romance is straightforward. The chemistry between Amelia and Craig is apparent from the start of the book and their transition into a couple is seamless, despite their admitted reluctance to become romantically entangled with another person after previous disastrous relationships. Their romance is a pleasant mix of sweet and (seriously) steamy and I enjoyed getting to know their characters thoroughly.
I have to take a moment to nitpick about a few issues I had with the book. Unless I missed something, the two protagonists’ names aren’t revealed until chapters four and six, respectively. The alternating perspectives are confusing when the changes aren’t noted at the start of the chapter and other minor characters are introduced even before I became familiar with the two narrators. Also, I’m typically indifferent to nicknames but I couldn’t help wishing for more original terms of endearment for Amelia and Craig besides “babe” and “baby”. It wouldn’t have been noteworthy except these monikers are repeated often and in close proximity to each other.
Love of Truth is an amazing debut for C.T. Oliver. The author devotes ample time to developing not just the two main characters but the minor characters as well, which I appreciated because it adds a layer of depth to the story. The cast of four supporting characters (five if you count Amelia’s dog) and their playful banter create a tone of lighthearted fun. The unexpected ending provides a nice change of pace, shaking up the plot and setting up an exciting sequel. I read somewhere that this is the first book in a trilogy and I’m excited to see what Oliver does next with Amelia and Craig’s story as well as possible spin-offs stories with the other characters.

Wow, what a lovely read. Such a tender and touching (and seriously smexy) love story, but the dark undertones of Amelia and Craig's past have a way of reaching up, like an undertow that snags you from a sweet wave and threatens to pull you down into the dark. A fun ride, with some emotional heft, seriously sweet lovin' and a twisty denouement that made me anxious for some follow up! Great job on your debut novel, C.T.! I particularly enjoyed the side characters (there's quite a cast), and could definitely see them starring in some spin-offs, Ben and Pen, especially (they even rhyme, it's practically mandatory!)

an absolute must read!!!!

I got this book for free from Amazon and I may be being judgemental but usually when a free is not normally as good a read as a paid one. well I was quite wrong and not afraid to say it!!

this has to be one of the best books I have read this year, the dynamic between the characters was fantastic, some real lol moments in this book. I didn't realise this wasn't a stand alone book and was disappoint when I was left hanging at the end. Can't wait for the second book to come out!!!!

I have mixed feelings about this book. It was the perfect summer read, fun, sexy and with likeable characters. But on the other hand, it was full of clichés and lacked of drama or interesting plot from the 50% until the final chapters.

I'm not a huge fan of books where everthing is perfect during the whole time but then at 95% everything comes crashing down. It makes me feel like the end is rushed and not very developed.

I found the start of the story very interesting, I was liking it until I started to feel a bit bored. The sexy scenes saved the book for me, the fun times too. I loved the connection and chemistry between Amelia and Craig. Craig was sweet and kind and the way he understood Amelia was pretty awesome. He was the best part of the book to me.

One of the things I didn't like was the overuse of some words, like 'baby', 'babe' or 'erection'. other than that the writting was okay, most of the time.

I hated the way the author left things with Ben and Pen. We never knew what was going on between them and I was so curious.

I wasn't planning on reading the sequel (I didn't even think the story could need a sequel), until that damn cliffhanger! Now I'm intrigued by it and I hope the second book is much better than this.

If you are looking for a light and fun summer read without much drama and a lot of sexy times, this is the book for you.

I liked the intro, but found things that didn't make sense for me in this book. While reading, many times I questioned if I was reading the same book that had an avg rating of 4.27 ....

To me, the way they met was believable ... The supporting characters were fun and interesting. How quickly they made their "connection" to me was questionable. Then, they continued to thank each other. And the dialogue was not realistic to me at all. I felt like the story shifted from one extreme to another - it either told lots of detail or it skimmed over time and was vague to create mystery, etc.

The POVs shifted which worked for me. I liked Craig but didn't feel his dialogue was realistic - Amelia was just too perfect/ideal.

Then, there was an unexpected cliffy ... Which I'm not a fan of, unless I am aware it's coming.

Overall, disappointing read for me - but I am in the minority!

What is it and books and cliffhangers! I just don't understand it. The book is told from both point of views and of course I love Craig's more, "okay, when I talk to her, I'm also going to have to talk to that dog about common courtesy, a.k.a No Co**-Block!" He's also a sweetheart, and caring, "hey, I know we haven't met, my name is Craig. I don't think you should drive if you're feeling frantic, and it looks like you don't want to let him go, so why don't I drive you?" He's also a playful guy, "oh baby, you keep teasing me like that and we're not going to get to the water at all today." He uhh.... like's his girl's panties to, "baby, you can't wear that. How am I supposed to focus on targets when I know you're wearing those under your pants." Amelia likes to shock her man at times, "Jesus, baby. You're not wearing any panties!" I rest my forehead against hers, trying to catch my breath. "You've been sitting next to me all night with no panties on." Amelia and Craig like to tease each and it's quite cute, "god baby. You're going to kill me one of these days with that look. Now, be good and let me get us home and then you can pick the movie, the flavors, the bed, the floor and whatever...Just hold on." I'm hoping there's going to be a second book since this one kind of ended not so well.

This book was okay. I mean it was an enjoyable read until the end. The end was like the author decided she didn't want to stop writing so she threw in RANDOM curve balls to keep the story going.

I don't even know what the next book will be about. I feel like there's not much to cover. Should have just written a happily ever after and called it a day.

Thank God this book was free or I would consider returning it for a refund.
