It's 1959, and Hollywood is spewing out dozens of grade-Z alien invasion movies. But what happens when a real invader from outer space shows up in the back lot of a movie studio? Predator lands in Hollywood when he's hunting for some new talent, and the only roles these actors are getting are dead-end parts! With the aid of special glasses, 11-year-old Tommy Anderson is the only one who can see the Predator. But can this over-imaginative boy convince adults that there's really a murderous monster stalking him? It's mayhem at the drive-in when Predator comes a-huntin'!

Note: I read this via the first massive omnibus (on Kindle). The plan is to review each trade/mini-series/whatever as I finish them, rather than the whole omnibus or every single issue.
First thought with this one was, "Ugh, just gonna be goofy, and there's a kid." But then it was honestly really fun. The parallels between the in-comic movie and the comic itself were a nice touch in the background, and Tommy was actually pretty badass.
The art is clean and colorful. No real complaints there.
I honestly am not sure about what I just read. It was like I was reading out the plot of some kind of family sci-fi movie, or an episode of a kids cartoon, except this one just so happened to have the Predator in it, and honestly?...... I dug the heck out of it. I would totally watch this if it was actually a movie or part of some kind of Predator TV show. Probably would be much better than that The Predator movie we got in 2018.
