Book#2 of Running Series

CIA Agent Jon Carter is a lone wolf but in his next mission he is paired with a newbie, Elana Miller, for an undercover job in Russia. Pretending to be lovers is their only way to face their nemesis and accomplish their task....Eventually things went south and the only way to get out of their predicaments was to play the game and then run for their lives.....and give us a thrill along the way...

This story is pretty engaging and held my attention throughout. The storyline is good and moves at a fast and steady pace and gives us a lot of visual scenes. The style is clear and easy to follow and gives us quite an unexpected ending....I love happy ending, not here. This story is a bit rough at times as Jon and Elana navigate the treacherous labyrinth of Blacks Ops. Their deadly dance between friends and foe definitely give us tension and all excitement desired. I loved these two, they are well- define and quite loveable. It is nice that the author did not forget to spice her story by adding a little bit of attraction between the two. A small break in tension was welcome.... Not a dull moment. Well-done and well-said.

I haven’t read the first book in this series and I can attest that “Running Out of Time” can be read as a standalone.

I received this book from the publisher via Netgalley for my thoughts: this is the way I see it.

I voluntarily reviewed "RUNNING OUT OF TIME" This is an intense, intriguing, suspense filled read full of danger, betrayal, being hunted by adversaries, deception, twists that keeps you turning the pages.
Jon Carter is known as a legend in the dark world of espionage he's a lone wolf agent known for his deadly efficiency & being able to disappear.
Elana Miller a former ballerina no field experience what's so ever his life is about to be shattered when his boss assigned her as his new partner.
Jon & Elana are on a high Stakes mission in Russia she knows her only chance of survival is this highly skilled moody man, when things take a deadly turn & their hunted by ruthless adversaries they can't afford not trusting one another its a deadly dance of betrayal & being hunted by ruthless adversaries.
I definitely recommend to get this riviting on the edge of your seat read when the line between friend & foe blurs into a deadly dance of betrayal & deception they have to survive or become pawns in a deadly game this is absolutely a must you don't want miss.
EXCELLENT RIVITING DEADLY GAME OF SURVIVAL I LOVED IT 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤 🖤

I really enjoyed this edgy, suspenseful, gripping romantic suspense! The story line and characters were very well written and they pulled me right in. At times I was a little nervous to keep reading!
Kyona writes in great detail, very graphic and it was easy to see these scenes in my head. The characters felt real and the plot was believable.
She took me on quite a breath taking adventure with strong characters to a very unexpected conclusion! For me I felt like this story ended well, I wasn't left hanging, but at the same time it left the seeds for the next part of the adventure.
I can't wait to read more!

An exciting and fast-paced story. The book is grittier than I usually read. Kyona Jiles has made me care so much about these characters that I overlook that which I don't enjoy seeing happening. The tale is complete within itself, but to read the entire series makes it even better. Kyona does leave us with a hint of wanting more. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
