Pause: How to Turn Tough Choices into Strong Decisions

Rate this book
Think of the last time you faced a tough decision. Did you feel overwhelmed? Confused? Challenged? How should a son talk to his elderly mother about stopping driving? Should a high school senior “come out” to her parents about being gay? How does a wife choose between home or an institution for her husband with advanced Alzheimer’s? How should a neighborhood association deal with opposition to building an Islamic center? Using these and other tough choices we may face in our daily lives, "Pause" shows how you, your families, neighbors and others can come together to make strong decisions, especially when perspectives and values collide. We all look for the best resolution for those we love or lead. Pause, with its step by step practical guidance, helps us get there.

Enjoyable. I consider myself a strong decision maker but this book helped me feel better about the painful choices I have had to make along the way. For those who have trouble making decisions, it can be a handy guide on how to make decisions. I found this read to be empowering and a great reminder on how to truly make effective, constructive and beneficial choices that help myself AND other people impacted by my decisions.

I have to make hard decisions on a daily basis, so I was quite intrigued when I received a copy of this book in the mail. I like how it included several scenarios that revolve around making a difficult decision and examining how that decision will affect everyone who is involved. It was a short read, but I found myself enjoying each story.

Pause is a book that gives you examples of problems and guidelines on how you should solve them. It is an interesting read, but I would say this book is more for the person who just doesn't have any common sense.

I received this book from the author from LibraryThing Member Giveaway for an honest review.
