At the Bar with a dry-wet sense of humour about the life and times of our contemporary barflies or rather the lack of it. The two best-of-friends Pro and Monger spend most of their weekends scouting the bars, hoping to meet such sexy chicks like My-honey and not so exciting dudes like Smoke - her accesory. If you have gone clubbing recently with friends, or are planning to, you are in for a feast of recognition. All that's needed for one to go through such radically easy to devour piece of writing is a large pint or a sophisticated alcoholic drink with many colourful but useless umbrellas.
This is just what the title implies: A woman reports her observations while at a bar with her friend. It's slightly interesting. I'm too old and settled down to be into the "bar culture" anymore, but I do find it interesting that people in other countries have the same basic experiences at a bar as we do in the USA. This is a short, easy-to-read book that's not upsetting or controversial in any way. An OK time-killer.
