Constantly changing in tone, these stories reveal the wide range of Norminton's interests. They share little other than the author's enquiring mind and command of the paradoxical. Norminton is particularly adept at seeking out our ability to deceive ourselves, but he is never moralistic and nearly always witty; when he isn't witty, it is because he has something serious to say about the human condition. "Norminton paints a picture of the world in a fresh, experimental way in his lively collection of short stories."--World Lit. Today, Nov.-Dec. 2014
