First of all, I have to admit, that I have a celebrity crush on Dan since the moment he appeared on Dutch television 😂🖤
This man is charismatic and I really love his interaction with the Dutch people.
I’m watching every program where he’s starring in.
So. Yep. This is me being honest.
Back to his book. ‘If I’m being honest’.
When I watched him telling on Dutch television that he has been suffering from an addiction for years, I was shocked. But not surprised. Given the life he lived and lives. I think it’s hard, living in the spotlight.
His honesty and vulnerability made me even love him more. Although I was immediately aware of the hard times his family has been put through by his addiction.
I know what’s like to live with someone with an addiction. And it can be very ugly.
In ‘If I’m being honest’, Dan opens up and tells us all about his life, his addiction and how he’s working everyday to be a better person and to cope with his addiction.
He’s so honest. And his story absolutely touched my heart.
The way he reflects on his life, his behaviour and his addiction, makes it very clear that he made progress and isn’t afraid to develop.
I have so much respect for his wife, his loved ones, but also for Dan.
Opening up about this, takes so much courage.
I really hope his story will help others too.
I read/listened this book as an audiobook and it was absolutely special to hear Dan telling his own story.
To say that I loved this book sounds a bit strange, but I did.
I have so much respect for honest people.
Thank you Dan, for sharing your story!🖤
