Patricia Monaghan never fails to touch one's heart. The world lost a great person with her passing. I related more to the poems in the latter half of the book tied to the Blue Mounds area, as I should. Miss you Patricia.

I loved the simple words and the vibrant descriptions of place, plant and animal. Would love to read more of her books

Loved "how to confess," "grace at table," and "the year in apples." Otto liked the bird ones, and then was banned from feathered friends (by us) for being weird and bulldozery.
