Finished Reading:
Yaad Shehar I & II By Nilesh Misra
Here are my honest reviews for these books:
I wish for more parts of these books III, IV, V and more........
These stories in Hindi by Nilesh Sir are the part of my life and and also for others. I felt as if I was there in that city, Yaad Shehar because all the stories in these books are great. Some of the stories are too brilliant while some are too emotional. Some stories are very funny while some are romantic.
I got totally engrossed in these stories. Both the books are unique and I liked the way in which some stories are narrated.
I remember some of the stories from the book, named:
"Papa se Shart"
"Ek T.V ki Kahaani"
"Ladies Tailor"
"Friend Request"
I liked these stories very much.
I must thank Nilesh sir for these beautiful stories and creating an imaginable city called "Yaad Shehar".
Those who are fans of reading stories and are in search of good brilliant stories, then these stories can be the best option for you. These will entertain you and will take u to the new world.
Read this stories like sip by sip. One or two stories at a time, think about these stories and you will feel great. At some point you will also feel something special. You'll feel like going "Yaad Shehar" once.
If you want to live fresh then read these extraordinary stories.
I simply like these stories and I have read some of the stories twice.
I SERIOUSLY LIKE THESE STORIES.
My star verdict for these two books are:
*****/***** for I st
*****/***** for II nd

same as ist book...
I have give a star less just bcz of spelling mistakes...
It feels pathetic when की replaces कि...
I was over joyed to read the vol-1 where there is hardly any printing error,,, but vol-2 is just opposite.
stories are good...
Neelesh misra has written a story about his own life which is highly inspirational.
There is a story in which a couple plays a game with their family and gets married secretly. The happy ending made me happy.
There are lots of stories which take me to my past life when I was in school, college, in my village and in Delhi... After getting a job how my life has changed and how the lives of others change have become little bit transparent to me just because of few stories which reflect some sort of same scenario I am having right now.

I have seen him talk, heard him narrate stories, listened to his songs, heard him sing, and read his novel in English (not his best for sure), and now I read his stories. Some variety I must say.

When I read the story out loud, after some time I heard myself talk in his style. Such is the effect. Not of this man I think, but of his stories. These are things we have seen in our lives. This is the history of our not-so-long lives. He takes us back there. It may not always be the best story (though sometimes it is) but his stories almost always take you back in time, to our very own towns and people, in some way. And that's what that's amazing with them.

Yaad Sheher has been a book which takes me to the time which I want to live. A time where emotions matter, where we are not blindly running behind materialistic possessions. A time where family, friends and relatives are there to support you.

Some stories were very well written but some are could have been improved. Overall, a book for people who want to take few minutes from this busy life and look back and appreciate more important things in life.

A collection of beautifully written short stories... each of which touches upon relationships... with parents, siblings, peers, and partners.
The stories reflect simplicity and make us appreciate thr lifestyle of the 80s. if you grew up in the 80s then you can relate to the settings in the stories and will be transported back in time when life was simple and relationships mattered.
