Well this was a fun idea and quite unexpected. Destiny is a character going through all manner of changes and believe me they are huge! First there's the fact that she's been in a car crash , secondly she's lost her closest friend Zoe and then of course the fact that Destiny really isn't quite herself anymore. I mean waking up and being told you are dead when you obviously aren't has got to be a serious mind blowing experience. Somehow Destiny works out what's happened but to avoid being locked up like a crazy person just goes with the flow but that involves the previously forbidden Chance!
Chance and Zoe had broken up but still hadn't quite moved totally on so it makes sense for Destiny to stay at his place or does it? Chance starts to notice all manner of things that just don't add up about his ex girlfriend yet he kind of likes the new improved Zoe. Things get even more complicated when Zoe discovers just what Chance keeps hidden in a trunk but will she run scared or take a chance ( pun intended )!
I found this an easy story to fall into and really like that Destiny didn't seem shallow. I was surprised by her 'inner' voice but it meant that Destiny could move past the guilt of her survival and try to embrace the possibilities of her second life. I thought seeing Chance interact with his brother enabled me to understand him a little better as I did feel this story was dominated by Destiny. It wasn't the longest story I've read by this author but it did engage my interest throughout . I had hopes for the couple but wasn't sure how the author would handle things as reincarnation is not the usual subject in romance. Luckily the emotional spin really worked oh and of course freeing Destinys naughty side really helped move things along! Unique, emotional and a happy ending , yes I'm a happy reader

Destiny Grable wakes in the hospital to find that she has been in an accident and that her friend that had been with her didn't make it. Destiny can't figure out though why Chase is there with her in the hospital since he was her friends ex-boyfriend and roommate and just where is her family if she's all banged up and hurt?
As soon as Destiny gets to a mirror she is in for a major shock. The face looking back at her is not her own but that of her friend. To avoid ending up being locked in the psyche ward of the hospital Destiny takes on the identity of her friend and leaves the hospital with Chase. Finding herself living with Chase as she figures out what to do Destiny still harbors a secret crush on Chase that she never followed up on since he had gone out with her friend.
Destiny's Chance is one of those reads that I was a bit back and forth on while I was reading it. The synopsis for this one was a bit vague and I found some things I ended up not particularly caring for while I also found some that I really liked.
First, I did enjoy the writing in this one and the overall plot. The idea of waking up and finding yourself in another body isn't a totally new one but it was still interesting to read about though. Also, Destiny's sister has some psychic abilities which was also a nice add to the story.
However, while the idea that Destiny wakes up and finds herself living with Chase that she's had a crush on and them starting this steamy relationship sounds somewhat appealing it was kind of also a turn off to think that this is her friend's guy that she's beginning a relationship with while being in her friend's body. Girl Code seemed to apply before the accident but flew out the window afterwards. I think maybe I would have just preferred a set up where it wasn't her good friend's ex.
Overall, I decided to give this one 3.5 stars. Good writing just not a personal preference to the prior relationship dynamic.

What a crazy ride this story is. You've got body switching, a psychic sister and an secret crush who likes a bit of kink. This was a short, unique and enjoyable read.

Sometimes I want to try something just a little different and off the beaten path when it comes to my romances. And this scorching charmer certainly delivered. It was a blend of paranormal and erotic with the paranormal being body swap/reincarnation and ESP and the kink being a spanking romance.
The story opens with Destiny Grable waking up in the hospital to discover that she survived the car accident that took her best friend. Her grief is joined by her shock to discover that she is now in her best friend Zoe's body. And with this complication comes one she doesn't know what to do with. Chance Everett. All that time she had been crushing on Zoey's boyfriend and knew he didn't see Destiny as more than someone to hang out with when Zoey was busy. Dare she grab this rare opportunity to have something with the man she has dreamed about while he thinks she is Zoey? And how could she ever tell him the truth since he'd think she was crazy?
Chance broke things off with Zoey and she was planning to move out, but now, he can't very well kick her out while she is recovering from a car accident and mourning her best friend. Only, ever since he brought her home from the hospital, Zoey is different. If he thought it was possible, he would swear she was someone else- Destiny, the woman he thought of way too much especially since he was pretty sure she would run for the hills if she learned about his special brand of kink, wouldn't she?
This one is not very long and yet it is a fully developed piece that gives the reader an interesting body swap scenario with some hot kink. I liked both hero and heroine and it was neat watching them begin a relationship while still harboring secrets. Destiny's is the bigger secret as she is pretending to be Zoey, but Chance, too, has to decide when and how to come clean about some things. They were tender and sweet together even while passion smoldered before finally boiling over. Destiny has some sexual needs that surprise her and draw in Chance as well.
I enjoyed the part both their siblings played to bring them together. Chance's brother is a horndog, but he gives good advice and Destiny's sister goes him a step further acting as a matchmaker with her psychic abilities.
The story is full of sexy passion, but the author didn't neglect her plot or her characters which is what I'm always looking for when I pick up an erotic romance. I've already been a fan of the author's cyborg series and now I enjoyed this standalone too. Definitely want to read more of what she has to write. I would recommend it for those who enjoy spanking romances with a strong plot.

What a completely unique and fun book to read! I've always loved body switching stories and this one's purely unique as Destiny trades bodies and lives with her best friend Zoe. The story starts out with her waking up in the hospital and just immediately enraptured me. I found it impossible to put this book down and read it all in one sitting. This is a beautiful tale of second chances at true love that really pulled at my heartstrings quite a bit. The romance was sizzling hot with just the right amount of kink to not be too dirty, yet definitely spicy enough to make my toes curl. The emotions both Destiny and Chase go through were very palpable and had me hanging onto every word. I was left completely content by the ending of the book and had to just sit back and sigh in pleasure. This was a really well written, fun to read book that I would recommend to just about anybody, no matter your usual genres - as long as you don't mind some steamy love scenes!

This story was very sweet, but it also had some pretty sad bits too. Destiny wakes after a car accident to find herself in her friend Zoe's body. They switched bodies right before Destiny is thrown from the car and killed, which means everyone thinks it was Destiny who died. The author did a good job dealing with some of the more serious repercussions, as well as the romantic parts - it was different, and, in this case, different is good.

What a great read. It all starts just after a devastating car crash. Destiny survives, but it's the way she survives that pushes this story forward and will have you turning the pages.
Cara takes you right through the powerful emotions of this domino effect. One of the first is when Destiny figures out she's been reincarnated in her best friend, Zoe's body. How would you handle that situation, maybe call your parents? Sure, but they think you're dead. Wow. This story will pull at all your heart strings. Add to that, you're now living with your secret crush, but you look like your best friend. I cheered for Destiny when she stole the opportunity and kissed Chance. I wanted to cry when Chance talks about missing his friend, Destiny. Friend!
Chance really does miss Destiny though and boy is he confused when he starts seeing hints of her in Zoe after the accident. Watching these two fall in love and push past their strange situation and listen to their hearts is quite something. Cara even breaks up the powerful emotions with some humor. There's one situation right before the end that had me laughing so hard. You have to read this one, it's another fabulous read from Cara Bristol.

Coming to terms with this new life is harder than she thought, but the silver lining would be her ability to get closer to the one man she's had a crush on for some time. This book is a quick. sensual, thought provoking read. Destiny is put into a unique position to have the love she always wanted, but the way she get the chance is hard for her to accept. I felt for her giving the circumstances. She's such a good friend for wanting to keep her spirit alive, but still want to live the life she wants.
Chance is a strong yet kind man that wants to help someone in need. I love that he wants to believe what his heart tells him, even when his eyes and head tell him something different. Even when he lashed out, he can't help but love the person his heart sees.

When I read an Erotic romance novel, I'm hoping for a good story and great sex. Destiny's Chance by Cara Bristol didn't give me that. It gave me good sex and a great story! ! I absolutely loved this book and was only disappointed in the length of the story. How I wish this had been a full length novel so that I could get even more insight into the characters and perhaps even some loving moments of Chance with Destiny before the car accident, that would have made their trials all the more heart warming. The sex scenes in this story were surprisingly secondary to the actual plot. There was so much I wanted addressed and answered. I want more please Ms Bristol! I absolutely loved this book. =)

I was provided a copy of Destiny’s Chance via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. I found this to be a super cute and sweet read with just a touch of Freaky Friday on kinky spank your ass steroids. On the steam factor, I would rate the book about a 3, but on the sweet factor it would get a 5, so with that 4 Boundless stars is my rating. The concept behind the story isn’t one I’ve read before, and I loved the originality of it. I also love the heart and soul Bristol brings to her characters. Destiny is one of those characters that you love to see get her HAE, even though it doesn’t come in a traditional form...Sara

Need a book that'll pull you in from the beginning and not let go? This is that book. From the first page I just couldn't stop without knowing more. My mind was running a mile a minute. what the heck is going on? what happened? what is going to happen? And all these questions were answer, with a nice kinky bow. A story of fate and twisted logic, a story that keeps your mind running with possibilities, a slice of the unknown. I loved this book and everything it was. Reading the blurb I wasn't sure but I knew I had to take a chance, and boy am I glad I did. Snatch this one up, and fast.

I loved this book. It took me on quite an emotional ride. Sometimes I wanted to fan myself from the heat Chance and Destiny radiated and sometimes I wanted to cry out in frustration. This book really highlighted Ms. Bristol's depth as a writer. The characters are deep, interesting, and likable. I've not read anything like one before and the take on reincarnation--with one character being reborn into another character's body really blew my mind. Its a beautiful story and I highly recommend it.

Sometimes all you need is a second chance. Destiny got hers, but certainly not the way she'd expected. This story was so enjoyable to read. Even if reincarnation isn't your thing, you'll be rooting for Destiny. Cara creates such tension and chemistry between her characters I'm always sitting on the edge of my seat asking, "Will they?" "Won't they?" She also provides just enough surprises to keep you guessing (and hoping!) until the very end. Yay, for Destiny's Chance.

Intriguing and heartfelt, Destiny's Chance is a surprisingly romantic story, with a touch of kink. The plot and smart writing will satisfy the reader in you, and the sex scenes will leave you hot and bothered. There are plenty of twists and turns throughout, which keeps your attention focused to see what will happen next. Great quick, mildly erotic read, which will have me seeking Bristol again.

WOW! Imagine waking up and find out that you switched body with your best friend. That's what happened to Destiny. She had loved Chance for a long time but he was engaged to her best friend. This was an amazing story with a touch of paranormal or Sci-Fi. I loved the way the point of view was changed so I knew the thoughts and feelings of Destiny and Chance. I highly recommend this book.

I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this story with a twist. It was a little more on the paranormal side with a side of kink/spanking thrown in to make it really interesting. I really liked the characters and the story plot was one I hadn't read before. Overall I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it for a quick read.

After a freak accident leaves her best friend Dead, Destiny Grable survives. However, fate has intervened and Destiny finds herself reincarnated into her best friend Zoe's body. Destiny has found a second chance at life, but not at all in a way that she could have ever predicted. One moment she's driving in a car with her best friend and the next she's waking up in the hospital with Zoe's ex-boyfriend Chance taking care of her. To make matters worse all of her old feelings for Chance are as strong as ever. Fighting between her desire for Chance and her loyalty to Zoe, Destiny is conflicted to say the least.
Zoe's estranged boyfriend, Chance Everett, has committed himself to bringing Zoe home just long enough for her to get on her feet and then it will be time for both to move on once and for all. Chance and Destiny have been friends pushed together by Zoe, but Destiny couldn't help but develop more than a little crush on Chance along the way. What Destiny doesn't know is that Chance harbored a crushof his own. Chance can't help noticing how much Zoe has changed. Her aloof nature seems to have disappeared into a woman filled with life that hums as she cooks gourmet meals, engages is compelling conversation, even her laugh has changed. Destiny is falling more in love with chance by day. The chemistry between them is inflamed by sharing a bed & the discovery of Zoe & Chance's treasure trove of spanking implements. The tension; both sexual and the irresistible pull these characters have for one another all while trying to fight it is intoxicating. The sex & erotic spanking scenes are hot, hot, hot! Rooting for them through it all is Destiny's empathic and clairvoyant sister, Laura, who recognizes Destiny immediately. She also recognizes true love when she sees it and is not going to let Destiny give up her chance at happiness.
The story and characters had a depth that held my interest from page one. I could not help, but feel connected to each one of them, including Destiny's sister Laura. In fact I connected so much with Laura that really hoping there will be a sequel in store for us featuring her as the lead character. Her story much be told! The mystical theme was fascinating. I am intrigued by the idea that true love can be so fated that one could be reincarnated into another's body just to fulfill that destiny. I really enjoyed how different this story is from author, Cara Bristol's other work. It's a nice contrast to the contemporary domestic discipline novels that the author has written in the past. I, of course, am a big fan of both genres of spanking novels.

Rooting for them through it all is Destiny's empathic and clairvoyant sister, Laura, who recognizes Destiny immediately. She also recognizes true love when she sees it and is not going to let Destiny give up her chance at happiness.
The story and characters had a depth that held my interest from page one. I could not help, but feel connected to each one of them, including Destiny's sister Laura. In fact I connected so much with Laura that really hoping there will be a sequel in store for us featuring her as the lead character. Her story much be told! The mystical theme was fascinating. I am intrigued by the idea that true love can be so fated that one could be reincarnated into another's body just to fulfill that destiny. I really enjoyed how different this story is from author, Cara Bristol's other work. It's a nice contrast to the contemporary domestic discipline novels that the author has written in the past. I, of course, am a big fan of both genres of spanking novels.

Now THAT's what I needed recently as an ARC. Kinda short, but extra sweet - well, if spicy is your kind of sugar, anyway...
Destiny Grabble was always sweet on Chance Everett, despite knowing that they could never be together. Not only was he her best friend's ex, but she also was nothing like what she assumed his type to be. However, a tragic accident with paranormal consequences brings them closer than any of them ever imagined...
I really liked where this one headed. First and foremost, I spent at least two chapters trying to figure out what had happened, and that was a nice change of pace from the usual romances I read. It added to the suspence and was unique. Plus, I enjoyed seeing those two dancing around each other and making their lives harder by not straight out talking it out - shameless sadist that I am.
What made it even better was the chemistry Chance and Destiny had - no matter if they didn't realize it as easily as I did, not everyone is a genius like me. They instantly clicked, and while I don't always appreciate insta-love, I'll have to admit this one worked quite nicely. And don't get me started on the hot scenes! Goodness gracious, I even felt a bit needy about that kind of lifestyle Chance lead - and I'm a prude in what I consider actually sexy, mind you! So well done, Mrs. Bristol, for making me like something I normally frown at - achievement unlocked!
The only reason this wasn't a 5-star review was because I didn't find it satisfying that things stayed that way. No more details on the matter cause I really don't wanna give any spoilers - honestly, though, if I was in Destiny's shoes, I wouldn't feel that well about my... "situation" continuing like this even after the man of my dreams claimed he wanted me. But that's a personal thing so I can't judge - much.

Destiny's Chance is a sweet, sexy story about second chances with someone you love but it's not just about second chances. It's also about being brave enough to take a chance at love when it's been presented to you in a new and unexpected way.
Destiny has had a crush on Chance for a very long time but she's never done anything about it other than be friends with him because he's with Zoe and Zoe is Destiny's friend, and Destiny doesn't poach her friend's boyfriend. End of. Except it's not. In a bizarre twist of fate, Destiny now has a chance with Chance. :-p Sorry, pun intended. I couldn't help myself. But it's complicated. So she's not sure whether to take this opportunity to be with Chance or not.
I loved Destiny. She was sweet and quirky, and she had an honorable streak a mile wide. I loved she did what she thought was the right thing as much as she could before she finally gave in to her desires. She battled with herself about what she should and should not tell Chance, afraid he wouldn't believe her, afraid she would lose him, and guilty she was keeping the truth from him. A truth he would not believe even when she succumbed to her attraction to Chance.
Chance was a great guy. He was kind, compassionate, full of integrity with a lovely side of kink. I loved he had a kinky side. You can read about his kinky which I thought Ms Bristol handled very well when you read the book. :-) It takes Chance time to come to terms with his attraction and his feelings for Destiny. And when he thinks he's lost her, he fights for her to win her back. I liked that a lot about him. That he was willing to be vulnerable and to expose his heart to her.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. It's light, fun and sexy with a little bit of kink. I like a little bit of kink with my sexy. :-) Well done, Ms Bristol. I'm looking forward to whatever you have planned for us next.

Wow this was a short read, but it was moving on so many levels.
Destiny and Zoe were in a car accident: unfortunately Zoe dies but somehow during the accident Destiny spirit moves into Zoe's body.
Destiny has had a crush on Chance, Zoe's ex, for quite some time but is she betraying her deceased friend by giving into her desires?
Destiny mourns the loss of her old self, as well as her old life - she wants to be seen as Destiny in Chance's eyes not Zoe but what does Chance see?
Chance is confused since bringing Zoe home from hospital. Her strange behaviour, eating habits and forgetting where things are in the house - don't add up. This isn't the Zoe he lived with for the last six months. He swears he saw Destiny in Zoe's eyes whilst making love to her - is his mind playing tricks on him?

I enjoyed the book, it had an intriguing narrative. I liked Chance, he doesn't miss a thing. I laughed at Destiny's reaction to Chance and Zoe's kinky life. I loved her reaction to the box of goodies in the closet and her quick response to getting rid of the evidence before Chance could suspect a thing. I felt sorry for Chance, poor thing was turned on by Zoe, but he didn't understand why his body was reacting like that towards her especially, when it never did when they were together. I really enjoyed the book and I liked the intense chemistry between Destiny and Chance it was hot and sexy. I would definitely recommend this book.

Destiny wakes up in a hospital after being in a car accident that her best friend died in yet some how she was now in her best friend Zoe’s body. Destiny had liked Chance more than just as a friend even though he was Zoe’s boyfriend but had done nothing about it for that reason. Destiny didn’t know Zoe and Chance had broken u and she had been going to move out as they had been living together for about six months. But Chance felt he couldn’t have Zoe leave after the accident and losing her best friend Destiny. Oddly enough Chance had been thinking of Destiny before the accident but she would probably run if Destiny knew how kinky Chance could be.
This novella was a good story and didn’t lack because of it’s length. An interesting concept - reincarnation. But wondering why only one of the girls were reincarnated and not the other. Anyway it was interesting the interaction between chance and this new Zoe. Chance knew something had really changed to Zoe since the accident even things she ate. This book caught me off guard and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it.
Destiny wakes up from a horrific car crash but something isn't quite right. Not just the fact that her friend died but the little problem that she somehow managed to switch bodies with her friend.
Destiny is trapped in Zoe's body and living with Zoe's ex boyfriend that destiny always had a thing for.
Everything is confusing, but she keeps trying to drop little hints hoping Chance ( the boyfriend ) will
Somehow notice. Living in someone else's body can be a really tricky experience particularly when you're falling in love with someone that thinks you're someone else.
Throw in Chance's spanking kink and Destiny's hidden desire to try it out and you have a hot, sexy body mixing romance with a HEA.
Not a long read at only 90 pages but it's seriously sexy and a fun, sweet read not something you find everyday.

What a great read. It all starts just after a devastating car crash. Destiny survives, but it's the way she survives that pushes this story forward and will have you turning the pages.
Cara takes you right through the powerful emotions of this domino effect. Her powerful writing puts you right in the thick of it, feeling everything that Destiny is. Wow. This story will pull at all your heart strings. I cheered for Destiny when she stole the opportunity and kissed Chance. In another scene she had me moved to tears. Watching these two fall in love and push past their strange situation and listen to their hearts is quite something. Cara even breaks up the powerful emotions with some humor. There's one situation right before the end that had me laughing so hard. You have to read this one, it's another fabulous read from Cara Bristol.

I received a copy in return for an honest review. I have read and reviewed Cara's book previously, in fact I am highly addicted to her Cyborg series. So when I saw the opportunity for this book I jumped in and took it. This is different to what I am used to seeing when I read Cara and I found that I really enjoyed the change of pace. How would you be if you woke up and found yourself in a whole new world but the people around you were the same? A hidden crush has a chance (no pun intended) to become something more but the circumstances are so unusual, do you take it? This is what Destiny faces. As soon as I started reading I was intrigued, the heat between Chance and Destiny literally burns up the pages and the overall story line drew me in further and further. Though a short read as its a novella, it's a great read, awesome job!
