Usually, I enjoy reading books with this plot. However, I couldn't not get behind the back and forth of the story. It made it hard to enjoy.

Taming The Beast -
Lauren didn’t expect her first day at work to include pouring hot coffee in her boss’s lap or rubbing his crotch with a towel, but luckily she didn’t get fired. Nate’s first interaction with Lauren didn’t end well, but for some reason, he was unable to get her out of his mind. Their tension filled interactions led to a night together where they were able to satiate their desires, but a misunderstanding caused friction between them the next day.

However, they soon found themselves in a situation where the sparks between them ignited into another night of mind blowing pleasures, but this time they agreed to embark on a secret relationship. Unfortunately, their budding romance was disrupted by the interference of a third party, but luckily Nate was able to resolve the issue, so they could get back on track towards a happy life together. This book was a fantastic introduction to this author and I can say without a shadow of doubt that it was a greatly enjoyable read.

This is a lovely sweet quick little read

Lauren's first day in her new job sees pouring coffee in her new CEO's lap, but she doesn't work for him and luckily thinks she won't have to see him again.
Nate is grumpy and hard to work with, but there is something about Lauren that has him wanting her.

When Lauren speaks up in a meeting she is moved to work directly for Nate. He asks her to produce a report in the next hour and Jeanette office.
It takes longer but not sentiment be fired she takes the report to Nate's house and things get spicy.

Lauren doesn't know what to do, she tries to keep her distance but on a trip to a conference with Nate they cannot deny their attraction to each other.
They think their relationship is secret but someone has shared details.
Wanting to save Nate, Lauren leaves but leaves her own information about the person trying to blackmail Nate. But is Nate prepared to fight for Lauren?

This is a good short read, but I would have liked to know more about the information Lauren had that helped Nate keep his job.

Brilliant read, sassy characters that make you want to keep reading. This story was genuinely great, good plot and characters that have you cheering them on from the sidelines. Same will they won't they but what's great is the female lead doesn't just go limp she's got fire and whips up a storm which is wonderful.

This is a great story, it's not long, less than 2 hrs easily, but you can build the story in your mind. It has twists and minor jeopardy, it's sexy and hot but not graphic. Overall loved it and highly recommend having a read.

This quick little read has sassy characters, spicy scenes all wrapped up in a fast-paced story of Lauren who has a love hate relationship with her boss, where he seems to stick in her mind. Nate can't seem to get Lauren out of her mind, but he struggles deciding is she worth risking his job or is this just a fling. Overall, this was a simple read that I enjoyed it. The only thing I would change is I would have loved to see more and have it expanded, because there was a great story.
