You didn’t fall. You were pushed. Stephanie Silkwood just hit her head. Hard. When she comes to, she’s on the deck of a luxury cruise boat headed down the Amazon River. Stephanie remembers nothing about the moments before she fell from the second story of the luxury boat, except for one two hot palms against her back before she went overboard. On vacation with her husband, Steve, and their friends Colin and Leslie, Stephanie finds herself unable to remember anything about the couple after her injury, other than who they are. When Stephanie gets her phone back, the last thing she’d been looking at was a document giving her reason to believe that Colin might have been embezzling money from the business the couples share. Stephanie brings this to Steve’s attention and he seems unbothered, unwilling to see what’s so apparent to his wife. Tensions rise the deeper the boat travels into the jungle. Stephanie must navigate not only the simmering discord between the couples but also her memories that are bubbling just below the surface, ready to return at the most inconvenient time. As she gets closer to discovering who pushed her from the boat and why, Stephanie and the others go deep into the jungle on an overnight adventure that brings their relationships to the brink. And not everyone will survive the night.
Wow! This thriller is part, action-adventure, secret romance, and a game of whodunnit. Who pushed Stephanie, or was she even pushed at all? Stephanie wakes up with little memory of what happened. The trip of a lifetime gradually turns into her worst nightmare. This is a super quick read that had me hooked from the beginning. Entertaining, original, and suspenseful describe this journey into the Amazon. Who will make it out alive and what dangerous secrets will be revealed? Thank you BookSirens for my copy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
"This trip to the Amazon was my idea. Shoving me overboard from the second deck of the riverboat was my husband's."
I honestly had no idea where this story was going. My mind was trying to fill in all the missing blanks in Steph's memory, trying to figure out what had happened. But at no point, did I see it going the way it did. I was kept guessing throughout and was pleasantly surprised. Another great read from the lovely Marnie. She is very quickly becoming a favourite of mine and I'm already looking forward to her next release. Thank you so much Marnie for sending me a copy ahead of release in return for an honest review.
Wow! I think I have decided that I really like Marnie Vinge as an author. I have read several of her books and each one keeps getting better and better. Thank you to BookSirens for the ARC (Advance Review Copy) of I Remember Everything by Marnie Vinge. I am leaving this review voluntarily. The book was so good that I didn't want to put it down. There were many twists along the way and the ending was not what I had expected. Thanks for a great read. I would definitely recommend this book to others. A 5 star rating.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Stephen and Steve are on vacation in the Amazon when Steph falls overboard and almost dies or was she pushed? Steph sustains a head injury and can't remember the incident much less the days or possibly weeks, months? leading up to the vacation. She starts to doubt herself but when her husband and their friends are also acting suspicious all bets are off. Steph must find out the truth even if it means risking everything! I was enjoying this book as it was fast paced and twisting gently one direction then another. However once I hit the 70% mark right about the time the ayahuasca came into it, the story became very YA in its execution. Whilst I liked the hallucinogenic descriptions of the jungle the plot twists were too predictable. I had already imagined from quite early on what the main twist could possibly be and I was right.
Perhaps a more realistic adult plot might have executed the book better.
So it's no secret that I am a sucker for fiction that is inspired by real-life events. And as both a thriller lover and a lover of true crime, this book checked all of my boxes! Marnie Vinge wove quite the tale and had me questioning everyone and everything!
"There's a running joke with true crime fans that the husband did it. There's a reason for that. You are more statistically likely to be murdered by your significant other than anyone else in your life. "
Stephanie is on the vacation of a lifetime with her husband and their friends Colin and Leslie. They are on a luxury cruise ship in the middle of the Amazon Jungle. Surrounded by danger and with little means of escape, the biggest threat of all lurks, not in the jungle, but within their group.
Stephanie falls from the deck of the boat, hits her head, and goes crashing into the waters of the Amazon River. When Stephanie regains consciousness, she does so with limited memories and the terrifying realization that she did not fall. She was pushed.
Stephanie is determined to survive the trip and to find out the truth. Unfortunately for everyone, sometimes the truth is deadly.
If you are looking for a fast faced tale that will have you questioning everyone and leave your jaw on the floor with its final twisty reveal, then I highly recommend checking out Vinges' most recent thriller!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

My thoughts: The summary for this book really drew me in. I was intrigued from the first page. Who pushed Stephanie? Why? I needed to know the answers to these questions. I can’t even tell you how many times I went back and forth between her husband, her friend, or her friend’s husband. It was like a perpetual loop, depending on the chapter. I like the flashbacks in between each chapter. It gives a little insight to the past, which Stephanie can’t remember. You’re learning about the past as she remembers it. The climax at the end of the book kept me on the edge of the seat. I’m usually pretty good with thrillers, and guessing what is going to happen in the end, but I can honestly say that the ending is so fast and strange that I don’t think I could have predicted it. I would give this a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Amazing!!! Such a great twist!! I never saw it coming!! The setting was so cool and I felt like I was there with the characters. If you love a thriller- and this to your list! I’ll be checking out other books from this author!!
So many twists and turns in this one. Just when you think you have it figured out, the story throws you for a loop. This is the second book I've read by thus author, and I love her writing style. Her dark thrillers are really becoming a favorite. I received this advanced copy for free, and am writing an honest review.
I love mixing mystery with the outdoors, especially in the Amazon. And I was so stoked to read the parts with jaguars, my favorite cat. Add a cruise to that, and you have an interesting story. I love Marnie. She can really tell a tale, and I really enjoyed this book. The protagonist is tumbling over the side of the boat, with the sensation of an anaconda, no less! She had the distinct impression of being pushed, but she has no memory of her recent past! So, the story is essentially her struggle to find out why their best friends are acting so strange, and did her husband want her dead! There are plenty of twists, and it’s just a fun ride!
This book grips you from the first page and has you on the edge of your seat all the way until the end. Normally thrillers will have you guessing the ending pretty quickly but this book will have you changing your theories constantly. I thought I knew what was going to happen in the end and then the truth comes out of left field. I highly recommend this book it had me hooked reading as fast as I could to get answers. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Intense and intriguing read. Marriage, friendship and murder set the gripping suspense of this exciting story. Twists you don’t see coming that culminate in a shocking finale. Recommended to all psychological thriller readers. Excellent writing and storyline worthy of five stars.
So when it comes to digital reading- it can be hard for me, with my medical issues. But, an indie author, Marnie Vinge happened to send me a copy of her thriller- I Remember Everything- and from the moment I opened the thriller and read the first chapter I was hooked. And I mean hook, line, and sinker hooked- I could not put this book down easily, as the thrill and the suspense of the book, the mystery surrounding an event that had happened- I had this desperate desire to know what was going on!! And the author was not forthcoming!! While the readers don't yet know what exactly occurred, neither does the main character- when she is pushed off a luxury boat as the book opens. And someone did it but who?
At the end of I Remember Everything Marnie shares the ideas that brought about the extraordinary story between these pages- that it was a real-life event of a German husband who, when visiting a waterfall in Norway with his wife (the same one that Vinge was visiting at the time she was told the true tale) and he had told her to back up until she backed right off a cliff, all of this found to be intentional. And this story, along with some others stuck with the author who then devised this twisted tale of tension and uncertainty- the "who done it and why", along with what the heck is going on here-
The book starts right after Stephaine takes a fall off a luxury boat. Waking up she doesn't remember anything except that she was pushed. And though her husband Steve acts just as he did all the years they have been married, Stephanie thinks it may have been him who has done it. And, when he gets an unexpected call from an attorney whom Steph looks up and discovers specializes in divorce, Steve tells her the attorney is calling for their friend, Collin who is going to divorce his wife, Cece.
Cece and Collin have come on the trip with Stephaine and Steve. They are best friends. But, when Steph asks Collin about the divorce he doesn't seem to understand and tells Steph to be careful of Steve. After all, a month before, when she came to their office Steve had given her a black eye. Collin says he is familiar with the way a woman acts when they are hit by their husband because his own mother was beaten in this manner. However, when Steph shares with Steve that Collin had a mother who was a battered wife, Steve comments that couldn't be true, that Collin must be messing with Steph because the man had never met his mother.
For Steph nothing is adding up and no one makes sense. Plus she knows that someone pushed her off the boat and they meant to kill her. And for some reason, Steph knows that's why she was pushed off the boat- it's not over and whoever did it wanted her dead and will most likely try again because they did not succeed.
Steph's only hope is the last leg of their trip- at an ayahuasca retreat in Iquitos where the group will be in a country where they can take psychedelics. She believes a trip like that could help rediscover her memories, not just of who pushed her off the boat but what has been going on with her and Steve for the last few months and why her name is on an account in Collin's phone called Black Label Trading. Right before they land at the Ancient Knowledge Retreat Center, Stephaine finds Collin's phone, guesses his password, and finds balance sheets along with an account name and password, all with her name all over it, along with the business name of Black Label Trading.
In the end, when Stephaine discovers the truth of everything- why she was pushed, why there is an account with stolen money from Steve and Collin's business in her name, and even the memories she has of her and Steve, their relationship and falling in love are all disjoint and misinterpreted- she discovers something about herself which is much more important than whatever else could have discovered. How she handles what she learns, however, is another matter indeed and even more telling of the kind of person she really is as the story wraps up with a twisted end readers never saw coming.
Wanting not to ruin the story for readers, hoping I have not said too much here already, I Remember Everything will keep readers at the edge of their seats and turning page after page, wanting to know what is going on. I am warning you, it's hard to put this book down once you start. Marnie Vinge is a tremendous writer and when it comes to suspense- a master. I loved this story from the beginning although the twisted end left me a little angry. Read it to find out why.
This book was like an addiction as only good reading can be.
Marnie Vinge's "I Remember Everything" embarks on a psychological thriller journey deep into the Amazon, introducing Stephanie Silkwood, who faces a disorienting battle with memory loss amidst a web of deceit and betrayal. Initially, the novel captivates with its unique setting and the intrigue of a mysterious accident on a luxury cruise. The premise promises a riveting exploration of hidden truths and inner turmoil. The exotic backdrop of the Amazon, with its inherent dangers and mysteries, initially sets a promising stage for a tale of suspense and psychological depth. The early chapters weave an engaging narrative that hooks readers with the potential for dark secrets and complex character dynamics among Stephanie, her husband Steve, and their friends Colin and Cece. However, as the story unfolds, the fascination wanes. Stephanie's character, central to the unfolding mystery, becomes a source of frustration. Her frequent lapses in memory and inability to piece together crucial details not only exacerbate her predicament but also challenge the reader's suspension of disbelief. The narrative, aiming to build tension, instead spirals into a cycle of repetition and implausibility. Critically, the writing style itself becomes a barrier. The prose, meant to immerse and captivate, often feels lacking in the finesse expected of a gripping thriller. As the plot advances, the credibility of the situations and the characters' decisions come into question, leaving the reader questioning the plausibility of the story's events. "I Remember Everything" starts with a premise that intrigues and promises much but struggles to maintain its momentum through credible storytelling and character development. While the novel's setting and initial mystery might draw readers in, the execution might not fully satisfy those in search of a coherent and plausible psychological thriller. Despite these critiques, Vinge's effort to craft a story of memory, trust, and survival in an unforgiving landscape may still find an audience willing to explore the depths of its narrative ambitions. This review reflects a personal take on "I Remember Everything," acknowledging its potential while expressing the challenges encountered in its delivery. I received an ARC for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
“I Remember Everything” is a psychological thriller that keeps readers guessing until the final pages. The story follows Stephanie Silkwood, who suffers a blow to the head and memory loss while vacationing on a luxury cruise ship in the Amazon with her husband, Steve, and also friends Colin and Leslie. Stephanie remembers seeing evidence that Colin may have embezzled the money from their shared business, but when she mentions this to Steve, he seems suspiciously disinterested.
As the boat ventures deeper and deeper into the jungle, the tensions escalate among the couples. Stephanie tries recovering memories that feel just out of reach, which is crucial to explaining who pushed her overboard and why. The dynamics between the characters continue to deteriorate as they take an overnight jungle excursion that pushes the relationships to their breaking point, with deadly consequences.
The exotic Amazon setting, full of dangers and intrigue, is the perfect backdrop for this tale of lies and betrayal. The story grabs the interest straight away, with Stephanie regaining consciousness after nearly drowning, then hooked by the mystery person who pushed her. The mounting tension between her and Steve over Colin’s potential crime and her struggles to recover the erased memories make it a quick, engaging read.
The narrative raises thought-provoking questions about friendship, marriage, and also trust. The relationships between the two couples are very complex and expertly drawn. When the readers think they have it figured out, a new twist throws everything into the question again. With rich descriptions of the South American landscape, this psychological thriller takes the readers on a ride they will remember. The climax is shocking yet very satisfying, living up to the story’s ominous title. Fans of the genre will surely add “I Remember Everything” to their favorites list. I highly recommend it!
Thank you to the author, and Booksirens for allowing me to read and review this book.
This is the first work I’ve gotten to experience by author Marnie Vinge. What a blast! Sits at the top of my list for creativity. And high marks for the level & pace of intensity as well. Bottom line —- absolutely give I Remember Everything a go! I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. My only little complaint (never a spoiler from me, btw! ;) …. is though the world building is well crafted, the “picture” of the characters is mostly absent. What they look like, especially face-wise. Exact body types are mentioned often, however. It’s one of those stories where you have to use your own imagination to create the look of the characters — but then, somewhere in the middle of the book some historical information is shared about someone, & BANG! It totally blows up what you had been imagining all along. Thereby causing you to have to then “re-see,” or re-envision that character. Then for the remainder of the book there’s that annoying mental flip-flop & imagination push-pulling occurring as you have to consistently remind yourself of what the person REALLY looks like (whilst battling back your original, already entrenched visualization in your mind’s eye). Really takes one out of the immersion of the story, yk? This book could also use some light editing, as there’s a couple instances (& only a few, nothing major!) where sentences could be cleaned up. Mostly things such as “can” used in a sentence when the character very clearly means, “can’t.” But it’s not annoying as it’s infrequent. All this said — the clever & unique plot, mystery factor, twists, & wickedly fun conclusion makes I Remember Everything what it is. And it’s a definite winner!! I can’t wait to read something else written by Marnie Vinge now. Totally captivating & extraordinarily fun book to read!
This is my fourth Marnie Vinge and they never go where I think they will go. I was hoping for a more fleshed-out mind-altering experience and would have preferred if the bulk of the book focused on that part, rather than the lead-up. But I had no idea what was going to happen. At first, I thought there was maybe a wife-swapping thing going on and then I thought maybe Stepanie and Cece were lovers. I actually didn't consider the actual events that happened though and that's one thing I've come to enjoy from Marnie Vinge. The unexpected twists I don't see coming are the ones that keep me reading. The dynamics between the characters with Stephanie not remembering anything, and the story being told from her perspective, added an air of mystery to the events that occurred before the ayahuasca trip. Marnie's storytelling is swift and in first person POV, something I enjoy. I like a shorter novel because I can read it in one afternoon and let it sink in while I go about the rest of my night. Or I can start it after midnight and not still be awake at 4:30 a.m. I do wish this hadn't finished as quickly as it did though. I would have liked more insight into Stephanie after she remembered everything. I received an ARC of this from the author and all opinions are my own.
I REMEMBER EVERYTHING is just one more reason that Marnie Vinge should be at the top of everyone’s TBR pile.
When Stephanie Silkwood, her husband, Steve, and their two friends, Collin and CeCe embark on the trip of a lifetime, jaguars are the only things they need to be watchful for. When Stephanie falls from the second deck of a boat and loses her memory, she wonders if she had been pushed. But by whom, and why. She doesn’t let on that she’s lost her memory as she tries to fit each of her traveling companions into the story.
While Stephanie tries to save her marriage, she is suspicious of everyone. When the foursome enter the jungles of Peru for a psychedelic experience, the pieces start fitting into place. Will she survive?
I really enjoy any Marnie Vinge novel. Her writing style is smooth and easy. I heard the sounds of the underbrush and felt the heat rising from the ground in the jungle as Stephanie and I ran for our lives. I look forward to where Marnie takes me next, as each book I’ve read from her, has been a joy.
Thank you to BookSirens and Yellow Truck Media for this ARC opportunity. All opinions are my own and given voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this novel by Marnie Vinge She writes a great story, not too many characters, she does a great job with character description, j liked the plot and storyline The twists and turns were great and I loved the ending. She had me guessing at every turn who was telling the truth The story was the perfect length in my mind for a quick read although I would have been ok with a longer novel as well The story revolves around main character Stephanie who is away on an Anaconda cruise with her husband Steve and another couple. Stephanie is lucky to be alive after falling over board. Did someone push her? She recalls hands on her back, but her memory of the last month is fuzzy, who can she trust?
This is the 2nd novel I've read by this author and really enjoy her writing style, the characters and twists and turns she creates for the reader. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Oh my! This thriller might possibly be one of the best I have read yet this year!! The twists and turns the author was able to incorporate while still developing the characters and plot left me on the edge of my seat and the pages turning all the way until the end. When 2 couples embark on the "trip of a lifetime" down the Amazon things quickly take a turn for the worse when Stephanie falls overboard; however, Stephanie isn't sure she fell and is more than certain she was pushed by someone. Only issue is the fall makes it so Stephanie can't remember much of anything prior to falling into the river...aside from the distinct feeling of someone's hands on her back. Who would have pushed her....could it be her "loving" husband, "best" friend, or maybe the "jealous" husband of her friend. When Stephanie's memories start to come back she is left to question if she would have been better off not knowing the truth.

Well the author certainly takes the reader on a wild ride with this one. Every time you think you know what is happening and why/how/who pushed Stephanie over the railing of the boat, it takes a left turn. Unlike so many where you can guess what's going on and who did it, this one has you all over the place. Much of that is due to the writing style. The reader is exposed to flashbacks from Stephanie's point of view and follows her line of suspicions with each memory. They you get to the end and everything flips over and takes a whole new direction. I enjoyed not being able to predict this book and the writing style. Kept my attention all the way through the story. Well done.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
I Remember Everything was my first book by this author! I enjoyed her writing style as it was a very fast paced, easy to read thriller that kept me interested through the whole book! The overall plot is a woman on an Amazon cruise trip who has amnesia after landing on a boat deck, and she is sure she remembers being pushed but doesn’t know who did it. She’s vacationing with her husband, and a husband and wife couple they’re friends with. The book bounces between currently after her fall, and a flashback to the weeks/months leading up to the trip. I would recommend this book to others, and will seek out more from this author! Thank you Book Sirens for the free advanced copy in exchange for my feedback.
I really liked the book. Never knew where it was going though and I was surprised at the ending. I expected something entirely different Didn't really like the main character because she seemed so selfish and so self involved without much thought for her husband(s). But it kept me going from one surprise to another, never knowing what would happen next. In the remarks by the author at the end I could see that she was treating the protagonist as a dicey person who went from one person to another without much thought for the consequences. I think the author was having a bit of fun with her and we weren't supposed to take her seriously, so I didn't. All in all it was a bit different from most mysteries and I enjoyed it. I probably will read more of Marnie Vinge's books
I finished this ARC in one sitting. I read A LOT of psychological thrillers and I can confidently say that this was very different than any that I have read. Husband and wife take a jungle cruise with another couple. What could go wrong? 😅🛳️🐆You are constantly trying to figure out what is true and whodunnit? I enjoyed the setting on the ship and feeling like the characters were stuck with each other and trying to act all nonchalant. I enjoyed the ayahuasca retreat trip and the parallels between human nature and wild animals. I am also left with some burning questions for the author about the MC’s first marriage. IYKYK. 💀I would love to see more from this author.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I can usually predict the “who” in whodunit’s. But this one kept me guessing. I bounced back and forth. The author gave just enough hints for each person to make you wonder if it was him/her. I was satisfied with the ending, though part of me wished that it ended differently. The author has great writing, so she made me feel things that the character was feeling. I liked how she went back and forth between present day and Stephanie’s thoughts and memories, which also kept you guessing as to who the other person in her memories was.
I can’t wait to read her other books.
I was lucky enough to receive an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Absolutely brilliant book, couldn’t put it down. It’s really well written and I didn’t work out the plot. Lots of unexpected twists & turns throughout the book.
I have read a lot of books but this is definitely one of the best things I read in a while. Clever plot, easy to read, uncomplicated language used and not predictable. There is something in this storyline for everyone - romance, intrigue, murder, infidelity and self preservation.
Loved it, I would highly recommend this book to everyone I know. This author is definitely going to be added to my favourites list.

Thank you for the opportunity to arc read this trippy book!
This book definitely had me on the edge of my seat turning pages, I liked that is was short to the point and full of twist after twist!
The book starts out it’s Stephanie being pushed overboard a riverboat deep in the Amazon on a trip with her husband and another couple, and then we work to figure how what happened, who pushed her and who can she trust all while she tries to piece together her own memory.
The author did a great job keeping us interested in continuing and just when you think you might have a glimpse into what is happening bam another twist…… well done, get this book on your tbr!
I have never read anything from Marnie Vinge before, OMG this was fantastic, but it was an unusual story. Stephanie her husband Steve and their friends Cece and her husband Collin are on a trip thru the Amazon. Stephanie falls off the deck of the boat hitting her head and falling into the ocean; and is recued. She has lost her memory from her head injury, but she believes she was pushed. What are her husband and friends hiding? Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters.
This is thriller writing at it's best, it was intense and highly suspenseful. I had no idea where the author was going with the story and I found myself trying to fill in the blanks. Stephanie is on a cruise and when she is pushed she falls and hits her head. When she wakes up she is wary of her husband because she is sure it was him that pushed her. The plot of this is fast paced and unpredictable. The characters are suspicious and you will believe every one of them is guilty at some stage. When it is all revealed I felt pleasantly surprised.
A great murder suspense story which gets you hooked from the first page lots of twists that make you want to read more. This is about Stephanie who while on a river cruise on the Amazon with her husband falls overboard but she is convinced someone pushed her but who? There are lots of twists as you try to work out who wanted Stephanie dead was it her husband, or one of their two friends Colin or CeCe his wife. Thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I want to thank Booksirens for an ARC book for free and am writing this review voluntarily
This book had my attention from beginning to end. Two couples take a cruise to the Amazon. Do they all come back alive? Stephanie gets pushed overboard but she is saved. She comes back with no memory and not she who pushed her. She figures it out near the end of the book but that is not the only thing that happens. You have to read I Remember Everything by Marnie Vinge to go on an adventure of a lifetime. Enjoy fellow book lovers!
