Things are not going well for our heroine and she wonders if she is on the right path. She needs someone to provide good advice, but she has no idea who she can trust.
This is book six of the series, but it does pretty well as a standalone. All the essential parts are covered early on.
This is a cozy witch mystery with all that entails. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed setting. The characters are also well done with all the quirks you would expect from a magical cozy. I really liked her group of friends and supporters (including the talking cat who certainly makes himself known). Put that together with an intriguing mystery and you have another winner. Overall, this was a fun and engaging story and I look forward to more in the series.

Days away from opening her new book shop Bookheart, Cora suddenly is surrounded by death and destruction. Aided by two sheriffs-one Magickal and one not (although having experience with Magickal crimes)-Cora sets out to solve murders, right wrongs, and prevent more deaths. Fortunately she has 2 crystals that help her at her darkest hour.
This highly intense book was full of darkness, and a curse that prevents her being with her true love made it seemed utterly hopeless. The complex plot of not only this book but all the books in the series, finally comes to a stunning and glorious conclusion. A superb series that has been a treat to read, it's sad to have it end. I will never look at crystals in the same way again!

Watching her best friend Ashley marry Dominic, the love of her life made Cora so happy, and the memory of their special day would be a memory she would treasure for a lifetime. Unfortunately, this feeling of joy would soon be crushed by the pain she would feel when she loses someone very close to her. Would her trials never end? Is she destined to lose everything she cherishes? This is the final book in this series, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every book and will miss Cora, Ashley, Dominic and Petrov. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.

A Devilish Crystal Curse is book #6 in the Crystal Curse Cozy Mystery series by Constance Barker.
Cora can’t catch a break. I was stunned at what happened. I hate that this is the last book in the series, but it was a very satisfying end to the series. Everything was wrapped up nicely.

Talk about chaotic! So many dreadful things happen to Cora in this book, it is hard to imagine that she can overcome. I loved this book, it was a fitting finale. I loved this series as well.
