What I was looking for? An event coordinator to help out with the busy summer season at my restaurant.
What I got?An emergency baby delivery on my party boat during our second interview becomes a life changing moment for both of us.
Now I have to convince the brand new mama that I’m forever dad material—and the man who will love her forever.
Author's Note: Restaurant owner Mason Brooks never believed in forever until a surprise baby and feisty new mom showed him what he was missing. Baby, Be Mine is a standalone romantic comedy with a happily-ever-after ending and no cliffhanger.

Absolutely hilariously funny. I caught myself laughing out loud (with some confused looks from strangers). Mason and Emmaline are so cute!! The surprise start to this book was very refreshing. I loved the new members (to me) to Cades Cove immediately . Hope to see some more of their story in up coming series. Absolutely loved!!!
🌙 Emergency delivery 🌙 Badass single Mom 🌙 Age gap 🌙 Ginger restaurant owner 🌙 Slowburn 🌙 Witty banter
Poor Mason is just trying to hire an event planner. Emmeline is just trying to support herself and her baby due in two weeks. What could go wrong? Well, not wrong, really. It was as if fate stepped in and brought these two together. It was utter perfection!!!
Just like all the pervious books I love this one. While the story was a bit different as it was about the heroine already being pregnant not falling pregnant I really enjoyed the change in story
Mason is finally starting to interview for new staff. He absolutely has to hire more people to help out at his restaurant The Mason Jar, because his current staff is swamped. He's got 3 prospects here now, waiting for interviews, but things are crazy busy today. There's one person standing out, even before the interview starts. More craziness ensues, and Mason's rule of no dating his staff is now taking a dive off the barge.
Sweet, fun, and absolutely swoony - both the story and the couple. I love how quickly Mason falls, even if they don't name their feelings for awhile. Mason had always been so serious, but when a ray of sunshine with amazing ideas comes along, he doesn't know what hit him. Emma was just trying to stand on her own in the face of what she thought was parental disapproval, and ends up finding a sweetheart who doesn't judge, in fact, seems to adore her new baby. There's definitely something in the air, or in the water, in Crescent Cove, and honestly I wish I could visit because love and babies is a great combination just like Mason and Emma are.
ARC provided by the author for an honest review. Ebook also purchased through Amazon.
BABY, BE MINE is the fifteenth instalment in Taryn Quinn’s contemporary adult CRESCENT COVE erotic, romance series. This is resort owner Mason Brooks, and event organizer Emmaline Hauser’s story line. BABY, BE MINE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Emma and Mason) BABY, BE MINE focuses on the building relationship between our story line couple. Emmaline Hauser is pregnant with her ex-fiancé’s baby but Emma is desperate for a job, and during her interview with Mason Brooks, our heroine goes into labor, giving birth before she was hired for the job. Desperate to prove she is capable, Emmaline begins working as Mason’s new event organizer, a position that places her in the direct line of fire from a jealous employee but all does not go according to plan when Emma realizes she needed more time, time to spend with her new born child. What ensues is the building relationship between Emma and Mason, and the potential fall-out as Emmaline struggles as a single parent, and trying to do everything by herself.
The world building focuses on Mason’s new venture as a party boat owner. Hiring Emmaline is the perfect fit but he will quickly realize Emmaline is in over her head, and her child may be caught in the fall-out
The relationship between Emma and Mason is one of immediate attraction but Mason is Emma’s boss, a boss who is falling for the woman who makes his life and business easier. The lone $ex scenes is intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and familiar secondary and supporting character, many of whom we met in the previous story lines. We are introduced to Mason’s hostess Gillian, as well as several employees, Emma’s brother Clint and his wife Kitty.
BABY, BE MINE is a story of family, friendships, relationships and love. The fast paced premise is engaging, entertaining and interesting; the characters are captivating and energetic; the romance is subtle and seductive.
Little does Mason Brooks know that interviewing Emmaline Hauser for a job helping run his new endeavor will literally change his life...in the craziest and best way possible.
We all know how much I adore a trip to Crescent Cove, a town lovingly written and maintained by the ladies writing as Taryn Quinn, and unofficial baby-making capital of the great state of New York. Opening a book set here is like slipping into your most comfy comfies and reconnecting with your most favorite friends. In other words, it's like coming home, and I love it more each time I'm there.
Emma is like a ray of sunshine, a dose of joy that Mason has long needed to balance his very overworked life. She literally brings happiness and light to everything that she does. And Mason offers acceptance and a safe place, things that Emma needs so much in her new life.
Age gap romance doesn't always work for me, but I totally forgot that there was one here until one of the characters, usually Mason, brought it up. There may be a few years between them, but Emma and Mason, two people that might not seem to fit, well, they do, like puzzle pieces, and reading their story brought on all of the feels.
As ever, beloved characters from past books make their appearance here, reminding me again of why I love these books, the characters, and the Cove so very much. I always want a TQ book to continue on and on, and because they tie everything in, it's almost like they do. I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment in TAMING THE BOSS, headed our way in June of 2024. If you have not started this series, this gives you plenty of time to catch up, so grab 'em all and happy reading! ❤️
Baby, Me Mine was such a fun story! Taryn Quinn isn't often one to write a slow-burn story but they flipped their usual script and delivered a perfect one with this story! This standalone, but interconnected Crescent Cove romance is funny, emotional, sexy, and lots of fun!
I absolutely adore Crescent Cove. Quinn took things to the next level giving us The Mason Jar in all of its glory. What a setting! Owned by Mason, this bar/restaurant was exactly a place I'd love to hang out or host a party. Everything about it was perfect! The location, the employees, the decor....it was all amazing. It's also the very place where Mason and Emmaline met. And boy was their first interaction explosive! I loved watching their relationship grow. They had such spark and chemistry. When I say slow-burn, I mean super sloooooooooow burn! It was the perfect pace for their relationship based on both of their situations. With lots of ups and downs, these two didn't have an easy go of their relationship but they do find their happy for now which is all we could ask for.
Baby, Be Mine will make you laugh, it'll make you feel choked up, and it'll make you swoon. No prior reading of the series is necessary but there are crossovers to keep in mind. Personally, I love this series so I definitely recommend reading all of the books but you can certainly jump in with this book and not have any problems following along. Either way, this is a story that is not to be missed. 5 stars
This is book 15 in the Crescent Cove series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone. Baby on board has a whole new meaning. What I was looking for? An event coordinator to help out with the busy summer season at my restaurant. What I got? An emergency baby delivery on my party boat during our second interview becomes a life changing moment for both of us. Now I have to convince the brand new mama that I’m forever dad material—and the man who will love her forever.
This book is a whole different take on the unexpected pregnancy that is the common theme in this series. Emma is just trying to take care of herself and her new baby. She needs the job with Mason in order to do that and prove that she is capable. Mason is such a stand up guy!! He realizes that not only does Emma need help, but he wants to be the one to help her. I loved how their story not only starts, but how it all plays out. This story was most definitely a slower burn, but honestly, it just fit the way everything goes. It didn't need the uncontrollable fast burn, they needed to get to know each other and connect in a different way. And I loved that about it! Not the normal (for me anyway) that I expect with these author's, but I still absolutely enjoyed it!
There is something so wonderful about reading a Crescent Cove story. The town, characters and general ambiance feels like coming home and checking up on old friends. Mason Brooks is the owner of The Mason Jar. It's a busy waterfront restaurant that will now become even busier by adding a party barge to the dockside. Mason is interviewing for an events manager when he first meets Emma Hauser in person. She has captivated him over the phone and video interviews but meeting her in person is all-together different. Emma is a force to be reckoned with. She's also almost 9 months pregnant! Emma plans to be a single parent and getting this job at The Mason Jar is her idea of the perfect position for her and her child. When the interview turns into a surprise delivery the fun really starts! Emma and Mason are perfect for each other but the timing is less than perfect. Read their story to find out how these two near strangers find their way to something wonderful. Baby, Be Mine was a slow burn love story and rightfully so. Mason and Emma weren't looking for each other and they both have a lot on their plates but the Cove always weaves its magic where love is concerned! It was told from dual POV and is very sweet with just a drop of heat.
Baby, Be Mine: A Surprise Baby Age Gap Romantic Comedy (Crescent Cove Book 15) by Taryn Quinn is a story about a restaurant owner, Mason, who is looking to hire an event planner for parties on his newly remodeled sea-worthy barge into a lake cruise restaurant and party spot. A very eight-month pregnant Emma knew she would be the best choice for the event planner position. While on board the MJ2 for her interview with Mason, baby Adriana decided to make an appearance right then and there. Mason supported Emma and helped her until the rescue squad and her brother could arrive. Emma and Mason were attracted to each other despite her being only 21 and a new mother. Emma brings her baby to work with her as she plans Mason’s brother’s bachelor/bachelorette/engagement party as the first party to christen the MJ2. This party is crucial as the outcome determines if Emma is hired as the party planner. Throw in some hugs, passionate kisses that lead to a slow burn passion, and sweet baby gurgles, all amid drama caused by a jealous employee. Baby Be Mine is another romantic small-town rom-com masterpiece by Taryn Quinn. I love every book penned by the duo known as Taryn Quinn.
What a sweet, charming book by this fabulous author duo!! This book had such an incredible build up to a wonderful finale that melted my heart. I especially loved Emma's quirky, confident personality.
Emmaline Hauser moved to small town Crescent Cove for a fresh start. Pregnant and ready to do the single mom thing, Emma just needs to clinch this job interview for a position perfect for her. She just didn't expect the incredible twist that took place during the interview. Now, she just has to convince Mason Brooks that she is still the perfect person for this job.
Mason is ready to expand his business to the boat he recently purchased and renovated for special events and parties just outside his lake side restaurant The Mason Jar. Interviewing for an entertainment coordinator was difficult enough without adding in an abrasive head waitress that wants the position, tight finances, and the perfect candidate that was also very pregnant. But then an unexpected event has Mason rethinking all his previous rules, and he's ready to break them all.
This latest installment of the Crescent Cove series was a good read that I enjoyed from start to finish.
In this installment we get Emma and Mason's story. Emma, a single soon-to-be mother is looking for a job to support herself and her baby. What she doesn't expect is to go into labor during her job interview with Mason. While Mason, a successful business owner in need of an event planner, got more than he was expecting with this job interview. Not only did he get the event planner, give a job interview that he will never forget but along the way begins to have feelings for Emma and her baby as well as the budding attraction between them.
In this story told from both Emma and Mason's POV was an entertaining read. The story moved along well keeping me interested in the story from start to finish. It also had the return of characters from previous books in this series as well as other characters from other series by this pair of authors.
This was an entertaining read that I could not get enough of as I look forward to more books in this series as well as this writing pair. I would also recommend this book to others.
What a sweet story and a great addition to the Crescent Cove series!
Emma's pregnant and looking for a job. The baby's father is an ex and has no idea that this baby even exists which is why Emma needs this job. She wants to prove to her family that she can do it all and doesn't need help.
Mason is the owner of The Mason Jar and is totally overworked and in desperate need of employees. His business is booming and expanding and he needs more help. It's so bad that on the day of the interviews, he's kept 3 people waiting for hours because he doesn't have time to interview them. He clicked immediately with Emma on the phone and her ideas for a party planner however, when he sees her in person he realizes that she's pregnant and due any second.
Without giving away any surprises, the interview takes a dramatic twist and from that moment on Mason feels a protective connection with Emma. But can he actually higher her? Will she be able to juggle a job and a baby?
Baby Be Mine is a lovely story. A gentle slow burn with great, likeable characters. I loved go getting, Emma. She’s a sweet woman, a real ray of sunshine, but also a little feisty, determined, clever and insightful. She knows what she wants and tries her best to achieve her goals. The sparks fly between her and Mason from the get go but when things take an unexpected turn, Mason proves what a stand up man he is, someone who can be relied on. I really felt their connection, and loved it.
However, many things conspired to keep this couple apart, including Mason himself, when his negative thoughts threatened to end their relationship before it even began. He was so kind and caring, I really hoped he would come to his senses before it was too late.
I loved these two together, the humor and banter between them had me laughing out loud and when I wasn’t laughing, I was smiling. A real feel good story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Mason needs help desperately at his restaurant The Mason Jar. He has a new boat that he has completely had renovated for a new party site but he needs an event planner to manage it. He is already running around helping in every section of his restaurant and is very overwhelmed. As he is doing job interviews he meets a very feisty young girl named Emma. Who he has now discovered is VERY pregnant. How is this going to work?? Well when Emma's baby decides to make her presence early, right on Mason's boat, things get very interesting. Emma needs this job and she is willing to do anything to get it. Her ideas are bright and welcoming to the business and does not want to rely on her family to support her and her baby. As true Taryn Quinn fashion this book is awesome! Great characters, steamy story and lots of laughs!!! Tons of our old friends from Crescent Cove are back including Kitty who just cracks me up every time!!!
Mason and Emma. I have been curious about Mason since he started appearing in Crescent Cove. His story and his woman had to be something spectacular to pull him away from his first baby, his restaurant. I really love Mason. He was full of advice for his brother and in his humor. His devotion to his restaurant is admirable but is going to burn him out. He is in the midst of expanding and is in need of an event coordinator. In walk Emma. I adore Emma. Her determination to make her life work on her own terms is something a lot of people could learn from. Her situation is not ideal but she’s making it work. Her humor and never ending energy is what makes people want to be near her. What a gift. I really loved this chapter of Crescent Cove’s couples. The baby comes on her own terms and in a spectacular fashion. Their relationship comes on fast but is based on so much. I definitely will remember Mason and Emma as one of my favorite couples in this series.
Welcome back to Crescent Cove. Mason is searching for an event planner for the MJ2 party barge and thinks he's found one in Emma. Only one problem, she's fixing to have a baby, on the boat, during her interview. Oh boy!
This book was just as good as any other Crescent Cove book but it moved a little slower. Normally, I'm okay with that but when you take a trip to Crescent Cove, you expect things to happen. While you get to see quite a few familiar faces with the Ramos family, the typical shenanigans you expect in Crescent Cove just didn't happen. I felt like I was missing out on something. Literally, we spent most of the time at the Mason Jar, even after Emma ran back home to her family. But then, Mason showed up to bring her home with him and then it was over.
Still, being a true Crescent Cove fan, I've preordered the next book. I'm hoping to get more of the typical Crescent Cove flare with Maddie's book so we shall see.
This book was sent to me by the authors for a review. Mason and Emma just clicked. I loved the way the book started with an unexpected delivery. Mason is looking to expand his restaurant business and is looking to hire someone to plan events. Emma knows that the job was made for her. With her condition, she just needs to convince Mason that she can make it work. The first event is a huge success until Emma receives some scary news. She gets a reminder of where her priorities need to be and so she makes a difficult decision. Mason is blown away and doesn't know what to do or think. After things slowly start to fall apart, Mason finally makes some decisions that needed to be made and go after what he wants. The ending came too soon and I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't an epilogue. Already looking forward to the next book in the series.
Absolutely loved it! Started reading last evening - excitement and action started right away and I could not put it down until I finished at 2am - sorry, not sorry! I love all the Taryn Quinn tales set in Crescent Cove and Kensington Square, as it always feels like coming home to favourite places and people, and now this story is one of my favourites. Likeable, charming characters with obvious chemistry and I really enjoyed how supportive Mason's staff were. Fans of these series will be beyond delighted with numerous cameos by favourite characters popping up from Crescent Cove, Kensington Square and Brothers 3 Orchard stories to help make the launch of Mason's Party Boat a success. Also loved hints at so many more potential romances to come - yea!!
So Taryn Quinn has decided to switch things up on this trip to Crescent Cove, or baby making central. This story focuses on a young college graduate who has moved to the Cove with a bun already in the oven, and about to pop. And that’s exactly what Emma does, while interviewing for her dream job. This meet-cute takes place during a job interview/birth and is accompanied with a side of fries.
I love how determined Emma is to work and take care of her newborn. While she always puts her child first, she can’t deny her feelings for her boss. And like any man living in the Cove, Mason is up to the challenge of both being what Emma needs and being there for Adriana as well.
If you’re looking for a sweet read, you can’t miss with this trip back to Crescent Cove!
He's single, running a restaurant, and looking for an event planner. She's single, one of the interviewees, and extremely pregnant. Like, "gives birth during the interview" pregnant. Emmaline knows she's the right person for the job, baby or not, and talks Mason into giving her a chance -- She was right. She is determined to prove to herself that she can make her own way. Emma's own way gets a bit diverted and takes her away from her dream job (and dreamy guy), but in true Taryn Quinn fashion, they sort it all out in the end, and they get their Happily Ever After.
I loved this book; I read it in one sitting -- it moves along quickly. As usual, I got sucked into the story almost immediately. It is a standalone, slow-burn, funny, sexy story, and totally worth the read.
When Emma went for a job interview on Mason Brooks' party boat, the MJ2, she had no idea how much everything would change in her life. When Mason scheduled three interviews to choose his new events manager for his party boat, the MJ2, he had no idea that his life would begin to have color, love and life.
Emma and Mason go to work together on a very important event on Mason's new party boat, the MJ2, and realize, a little late, how important living and loving is in life.
I loved the couple, I thought it took a while for Mason to wake up from the trance of excessive work, I want more from this couple... This family that forms in Baby, Be Mine.
I've read all the Crescent Cove stories and have loved many characters, but I think Emma is one of my favorites. She's a young woman who had life throw her a curve and she is bound and determined to find her way for her and her bean without using her family. J love her carefree spirit. She does a lot of faking it until she makes it. Mason is a man who is so focused in his business, he forgets almost everything else. He is a good man. When these two meet you know there is something special. When the baby unexoectantly makes an early visit these two become tied together. This is a sweet story that is unlike their other Crescent Cove, with the baby coming first. Very enjoyable
Emma and Mason jump off the page and shine so bright. As you are reading you find yourself seeing them drawn together and those sparks fly and you just want it all to work out for them.
There are some obstacles to overcome and the ever present Crescent Cove baby boom, but Taryn Quinn creates a world where love is king and getting to the happily ever after is a ride I will always want to be on.
You are in for a fun, sexy, witty, romantic and ever-lasting love kind of read! I love Crescent Cove! I love love! And I love Mason and Emma’s story.
I love this series and everything about it. This one had me swooning from the beginning. Emma shows up for her interview 9 months pregnant and didn't know she was in labor and ended up delivering on the barge and still demanded she get the job! Mason didn't know what hit him but he was hooked. The Cove definitely has something in the water, not only for babies but for love, and apparently for artists too. I'm not giving anything away on this one other than to say it it great from beginning to end and I cannot wait for the next book! Each book in this series is a standalone.
I give 4.5 stars. It is definitely a slow burn—Emma is extremely pregnant and then gives birth. I love how much of the story is from Mason’s POV so we get the transition of feelings on his end, which here I thought was more important to the plot. I love their friends and families. Everyone (with one real exception) lives Emma. There are a lot of funny banter moments. I like that Emma and Mason have people who tell them like it is. I like that her parents turn out to be generally ok in the end. I am not sure how wi fell about her not telling the father, no matter how much of a jerk her is. I really enjoyed the story.
These authors are the best! Emmaline is feisty, determined and a hoot! Mason is attracted to her when she applies for the position as the new event coordinator for his business. Only during her interview does the unthinkable happen. Her baby decides it’s coming early. Babies in Crescent Cove is nothing new and Mason was some what prepared because he read up on things when his sister-in-law was pregnant. Emma and Mason go through so much with her dealing with a newborn, a jealous employee, feelings for the boss/employee, and so much more. I love every minute being back in the Cove and absolutely loved this couple!!!
Mason Brooks is a character I’ve been dying to get to know better. Emma captures his attention and his heart from the first interview. While she’s trying to find her own he’s running a busy restaurant in a quaint town full of love and babies. Crescent Cove isn’t known for a slow burn, but Mason and Emma do it so well. Add in a precious baby and a familiar backdrop and supporting character list and you have a classic Quinn easy read romance.
While there have been others in this series that swept me off my feet, this one swooned me and eventually hooked me just like the couple in this story. Lovely read for my holiday time off.
This was a fairly quick read. Tbh, I felt like I was left hanging on a number of fronts. Trying not to give too much away, I was looking for some type of repercussion from Gillian's behavior on the MJ2.
I thought the book ended very suddenly. It truly could have used an epilogue. The situation with the parents, Penn's party, the aftermath of decisions made in the den among other things were never resolved. To end the book with no sense of closure in so many areas was frustrating to me.
I would give this book 2.5 stars, maybe 2.75. It came close to being ok but didn't quite make it for the reasons listed above.
