If Jessica thought the hard part of her first months in the new state was getting the handsome cowboy that has it all, she was dead wrong. In addition to all the trials and tribulations of a normal relationship, Jessica also has to combat William’s mother, who doesn’t believe William’s chosen is in it for anything other than the money. All seems futile in her new life until Jessica gets a needed surprise: her friends! With her crew from L.A. all gathered together in Texas, parties and shenanigans ensue.
It is here that Jessica’s BFF Lump meets Adam, the brooding cowboy with a haunted past to match her own. The two take over the spotlight as one wars with the other, each unable to find peace within themselves, turning to violence within their turmoil.

Ugh- I am so not going to read the next book. Jessica has turned into a wholly unlikeable character who is shallow, an alcoholic and so girlie pathetic that I actually contemplated throwing my iPad out the window! Yuk. Can't believe I managed to finish this book. That, in itself, is an achievement. Such a shame because I do like a romance series and some people have rated it so highly! What is wrong with you lot- this is such a pile of tosh?!! My brain is officially fried mush. Need new reading material!!!
Thank goodness for Jessica”s girlfriends. I laughed constantly during the chapters with the girlfriends. So unbelievably funny. Certainly pulled out extra stars. Jessica was not very likable in this book. Still extremely insecure. Still drove me crazy. Her girls were strong, funny and absolutely anchored each other. Loved the unit. Jessica became very judgmental and obnoxiously sarcastic throughout the entire book. Lump, the protector of the crew, has an interesting story developing. So does Adam and the rest of Williams friends. William was the same sexy, solid guy. Sure wish Jessica was a better match for him.
I was amazed that I didn't get bored of the second book in the Jessica Brodie series because in the past I was disappointed by the second book by other authors. However, I was surprised that I liked this book as much as the first one. The book transitioned well from the ending of the first book. The characters were still likeable, and the plot continued to get better. I recommend this series because it is very interesting and entertaining to read.
I LOVE KF Breene! But this series is meh. The main female character is a river of tears. Getting drunk every weekend, curing her hangovers by getting drunk. You are lead to think the disapproving mother was going to be a main theme and is solved VERY quickly. So, so. Not going to read the next book.
Still loving this book but not the fact that I have to purchase another book to hopefully finding the ending. But I am really loving this series so there is no stopping now.
The first book was ok, but left me with enough of a cliffhanger to want to read the second one. Big mistake. Sooooo boring. Too much naive, whiny, dumb girl drama. Have 80 pages left and couldn't waste anymore of my life reading it.

Of coarse I hade to finish this book in one reading but sleep got in the way. So sad to say I didn’t get much sleep.. Totally worth it! I still love little Willie. A lot more of Jessica’s adventures and shenanigans!! Thank you Willow S. For a great adventure..
Another great book. It took William long enough to come around but it gave you more time to lean about William and Jessica. They had me laughing and crying.
It takes a lot to really get me into connecting with characters, but with Jessica, it is just like reading about a friend. I have felt things that she is living, I relate to her in many ways. That’s why I quite like this series so far.
As a mother of sons I get why his mum is like the way she is. Even though she won her over only because of dusty. Love all the ups and downs that goes will this relationship. Love this author and will be seeing if anything else catches my attention.
This one was a fun read, Jessica and William are, finally, an item but his mum hates her and she doesn't think she's good enough for him, not a good combo! Can the 2 of them make a go of it? Great read and it was fun to learn more about Jessica's friends.
Things I had issue with: the character would not have had such a childish reaction to stopping at Prada. She is an adult not a teenager! The characters I hated in book one I liked in book two. Lump might just be my favorite character. There were several lines that were hilarious. There were also a bunch of one liners that I adored. Jessica grows a backbone and brings it out on occasion which was fantastic. I thought the dog's reaction when William treats Jessica roughly is significant. William explained all this crap about the dog needing to sniff her so he new she was family etc. The dog protects her from William yet somehow after that whole ordeal, William still forgot he hurt Jessica by breakfast. wtf? Similar to my opinion from the first book. If you get past the first chapter the book isn't bad.
This is the second book in the trilology and I loved it. This book is much better then the first one. Here you got a lot of action, sometimes i laugh so laud that people turned an look at me like i have two heads... Jessica is totally in love with William, and in this book they make a step into their releishenship. Her girls get to surprise her and came to wisit her..ufff...that was something..i could not stop reading it... I really hope we will finde some more of Jessica history i mean like her family, in this book we can see how another cuple is in makening, and i rally hope they will end up together ( Adam and Lump), they are made for each other. I am so buying the next one...i already see i wont be sleeping tonight i will be reading :) This is the thing with Willow Summers, all her books just suck you in and you cant put it down.
Will update once im out of my honeymoon phase but truly loved this series. There are small things I wasn't a fan of but the core story I love. I wished it was put into one large book since the cliff hangers aren't fun. I felt the end of the last book was rushed which would have been okay if it wasn't the last book. With getting such detailed information of the life of Willie and Jess I wanted to know what happens next, or in the future. I have already re-read all three books and have for feed it to my bestfriends so I can talk about it more.
So, I didn't like this one as much as the first, but I think that is mostly because I really don't like William, I think he is controlling and Jessie is way to overtaken with him. However, I still really enjoy the story and the character development. I think throughout Jessie realizes why William is the way he is, and how strong she is on her own. Again, a really solidly written and plotted book,. I think it does a good job of exploring the relationship between Jessie and William, and setting up the romance between Lump and Adam (I wouldn't mind reading their story as a stand alone!)
I really like these characters on their own, but I feel like some of the story lines they are put into make them a little unlikable. Then all of a sudden I am back to liking them again cause of the random dialogue. So I am torn a little about it. Overall though, the book was fun and as fast a read as the first one. And I will say, I am loving the push towards Adam in this book. I kinda want more of him and less Jessica. Haha
It was a good continuation of Jessica's new life in Texas. There are quite a few of typos and editing mistakes. I paid $3.99 for this book and I would expect for the proper spellings of words and better editing. Waist instead of waste and massage instead of message to name a few things... These things shoud have been caught and they really bother me when I see them. Besides that the story was good.
WAY more sex than in book 1, so the new steamier cover is appropriate. This book covers a lot of ground with the plot -- another attempted rape, bull riding, getting approval of William's mother, "coming out" to the people with "means" and this now includes more about both Adam, and Jessica's friend Lump.
This had less of a cliffhanger than in book 1, so I'm still hooked, but I'm on to book 3.
