Disembodied screams. Rumors of curses. Hidden wells long forgotten.
Those are a few of the mysteries rising from the fog around the Ghost Woods, the stretch of trees surrounding Hawthorn Inn and the small town of Sanctuary. Jack again finds himself the focus of the eerie happenings as he makes new allies and learns more about his strange grandfather. Shadows lengthen and the danger deepens as Jack and his friends try to stay one step ahead of their adversary.

This was by far my least favourite book of the series so far. I didn’t find whatever was going on at the farm interesting, I got confused as to the significance of the wells, and Jack’s Grandfather is becoming increasingly batty. The fog was a little bit creepy, and Mr Fletcher’s story was interesting, but other than that the story dragged and I got bored. 5 out of 10
I just love this misfit group of friends!!!! I can't wait to read more of their adventures!! I found several editing issues as I was reading through the book but not annoying enough to make me stop reading. None the less editing needs a closer look. I love this series!!!
Jake and his gang have a new addition to the group and now the four of them are quite the team. The fog was a bit creepy and I really enjoyed it when the kids had to work as a team to battle it. I'm hoping the next book gives more insight about the investors there's something odd with that group I can feel it.
