One ring plus one wild night equals one crazy love

Sherry Robicheaux loves men. She loves love. And she loves an adventure. So when she meets a mysterious man while working backstage at a country music concert in Vegas, she’s all about what’s happened in Vegas staying there.

Country music superstar Tyler Blue just wants a weekend of anonymity…though there’s something about the spunky waitress with the streaks of purple hair that tempts him like no other. Until the next morning, when they both wake up with fuzzy memories…and rings on their fingers.

Convincing Sherry to maintain the ruse for his public image isn’t the hardest part—it’s reminding himself that their time spent playing husband and wife in her small town of Magnolia Springs can’t last. Tyler’s first love will always be music—and the road is no place for a sweet downhome girl.

4.75 I Wanna Ride Tyler Blue Stars!!

This book was exactly what I needed. A sugary sweet, oops waking up "married in Vegas" story. I gotta admit I'm just a sucker for these romances. Tyler Blue is country music's "it" guy but the man underneath the musician mask is a completely different man than the one seen in the public eye. So when Sherry Robicheaux mistakes him for a "roadie", Tyler plays along enjoying being with someone who wants to get to know Tyler the man.
Sherry Robicheaux loves life, loves guys that aren't good for her, and loves love. She's tired of having her heart broken so she's going to have one last weekend of wild fun before settling for Mr Dull. Tyler, the roadie, looks like just the man to deliver.

Of course, the old saying "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" doesn't hold true when you wake up the following morning with a horrible hangover and wedding rings on your hands!! Being married to someone you barely know, follows you home whether you want it to or not. What are they going to do now and how is Sherry going to take being married to country music star, Tyler Blue, versus Tyler, the roadie?

I loved the sassy spitfire Sherry was. I swooned over flirtatious Tyler. These two had smoking hot chemistry but unfortunately their sexy times were fade to black. You all know I love the sexy times in my books!! I'm a dirty girl who reads smut but having said that I still thoroughly enjoyed this story.

description

Now instead of getting a divorce ( annulment was out of the question), Tyler proposes they stay married in order to help his career. Apparently country music fans like their superstars to be settled and married in order to write credible love songs. Sherry agrees to help Tyler out with certain rules in play......
Can Tyler follow the rules that Sherry needs? Will Sherry be able to keep her heart from falling in love? You're just going to have to read this sweet little gem to find out!! Fall in love with Tyler & Sherry like I did.

Rachel Harris’ Love and Games series is one of my favourites in the Bliss line. If you haven’t had the pleasure, go do so because with gorgeous men, wonderful women, heart-fluttering romance and the small town atmosphere, each one is a treat. Accidentally Married on Purpose is a perfect addition. I've always loved Sherry Robicheaux and her quirkiness, and her venture into coupledom has it all. She craves the fairy tale, her very own HEA, but first she needs to have some fun and throw caution to the wind before she finds her Mr. Boring-and-Predictable. When she goes to Vegas to cater for a well-known band, well, what happens in Vegas doesn't exactly stay in Vegas...

description

...because a date followed by a night of alcohol fuelled, lust filled (closed-door) passion leads to Sherry waking up in a Vegas hotel room with an epic headache, a sparkling rock on her left hand and the title Mrs. Tyler Blue. Her gorgeous husband is as horrified as she is; her gorgeous husband the famous country musician, but his management see their marriage as no bad thing to his reputation, he just needs to persuade Sherry to keep up appearances.

description

Together they had the warmest, sweetest, most touching of chemistries. The tension is perfectly balanced with tender moments and I went from laughing to swooning, and everything in between. I may have even welled up a little at one point. You don't read as many romances as I do and not get a feeling where the story is heading, but it still held lovely little surprises and made my heart flutter because Tyler is just a sweetheart.

description

With all our favourite past couples lives evolving and bringing great content (I can't not mention Cane *sigh*), I loved every sweet, funny and romantic moment. This is a book and a series I highly recommend and, even though the Robicheaux' have all had their turns, I'm left wondering if there is a story to be told for Tyler's best bud Charlie...I'm not too proud to beg in such circumstances.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rachel Harris has done it again! It's not often that I rate any book five stars, let alone one in this genre, but that's been the case twice now for the Love and Games series.

After finishing Seven Day Fiancé, I couldn't wait to get Sherry's book. She's a firecracker with a lot of spunk and heart who just wants to find her own happy ending. She's quick to fall in love, but never with the right guy, so she's had her heart broken a time or two. Deciding it'd be best to play it safe from here on out, she promises herself one last wild weekend and then it's time to settle down with a Mr. Boring, a guaranteed way to keep her heart safe.

Tyler Blue, lead singer of a country band, has no desire to fall in love. His passion is his music, and he knows finding the right one would make him lose his focus. There's no way he'd ever be able to commit the way a wife deserves. When Tyler and Sherry meet, there's an instant connection, and both agree to a no-strings-attached weekend. Come the final morning together, they wake up to find that they have somehow agreed to so much more. A drunken wedding in Vegas was never supposed to be in the cards, but Tyler can't afford the bad publicity, so he convinces Sherry to a marriage of convenience for a little while. They'll play the part of happily married in public, and in private they'll be sure to keep their hearts in check...

Normally I'm not a huge fan of celebrity stories, but I simply cannot resist a sexy country star. Tyler has got it all: charm, sex appeal, and an amazing sense of humor. Despite his stubbornness to keep love and feelings out of their arrangement, he is so sweet to Sherry, leaving her post-it notes on her bathroom mirror, teaching her how to play guitar, and genuinely caring about her. I was a goner from the beginning, and poor Sherry never stood a chance. It's not often I like a hero or heroine equally, but in this case I absolutely adore both Tyler and Sherry, which made me root for them as a couple even harder. Sherry is funny and selfless and has this spark to her that's impossible to deny, but I connected to her because she believes in fairy tale endings wholeheartedly. She's a girl after my own heart. I was just aching for her and Tyler to figure things out. Thankfully the ending is every bit as good as I was hoping for.

Once again the New Orleans setting provides a charming, fun backdrop; the accent in my head definitely had a deeper twang to it. ;) Although this is a clean romance, there is still plenty of sexual tension, especially due to Sherry's insistence that they not sleep together again. Their chemistry is off-the-charts good; when it finally explodes I could feel it to my toes.

I seriously can't recommend this series enough. Rachel Harris knows how to write fun-loving romances with plenty of spark and sweet times. I can already imagine several other characters in this series getting their own books, so I can't wait to see who's next!

3.5 - Always the fling, never the forever. Stars!

Accidentally Married on Purpose is hands-down my absolute favourite of the Love & Games series. Sherry Robicheaux has been a favourite of mine throughout the previous two books and it was great to finally get into the head of this sassy, quirky likable girl.

She’d always been the type of girl who jumped in feet first and fell in love at first sight.

Tyler Blue isn’t looking for a relationship or commitments, but pressure from his record label Belle Meade, to live the lifestyle his songs of love and romance promote is heavy, as is speculation in the press about his private life. Tyler just wants to make music, everyone else see’s it differently.

He was an instant gratification kind of guy. When he saw a woman who interested him he went for it.

Although the wedding happened within the first few pages of the book, I loved the building of the actual relationship between Tyler and Sherry as the book progresses, the ‘rules’ they set themselves, and lack of sex for the month they are together really gave Rachel Harris a chance to explore both of them as people, as well as the opportunity to build their friendship and the emotional connection between the two of them.

”Our relationship isn’t conventional, and it sure as hell didn’t start off like most. But we both know what we want and aren’t afraid to go for it.”

There are so many things I liked about this book, from the Post-it notes to the banter between the two of them. This is a low drama kind of story, something that a reader can pick up and know that at the end they are going to have a lovely case of the ‘warm-fuzzies’. Rachel also managed to bring the previous couples into the story as well which was great as it gave the series as a whole a excellent continuity. I loved the epilogue; it was the perfect ending for me.

I adore Rachel Harris and this past week I went on a binge of all her upcoming titles. The Love and Games series is one of my favorites so there was no question I was reading it as soon as I could get my hands on it. This was exactly the kind of book I needed this week!

Accidentally Married On Purpose highlights Sherry, who we’ve all gotten to know in the previous two titles in this series, and while I can honestly say that the men in this series are what I usually love most, I was really looking forward to this title because Sherry is the girl most of us can relate to. She’s been burned in her past relationships, but she loves the idea of love and she isn’t giving up on it! She’s spunky and sassy and she gives with her whole heart and I adore her.

In Accidentally Married On Purpose Sherry is off to Las Vegas to oversee a job catering for the super popular country band Blue. She plans on it being her last irresponsible weekend and she’s determined to have a fling before she is back in Louisiana to get serious about her future… and possibly that Mr. Boring Accountant who she is prepared to settle for.

A chance encounter with Tyler, who she thinks is a roadie for the band, leads to a whirlwind weekend where she’s swept off her feet and eventually a night of drinking… and an accidental marriage.

Only there’s more to Tyler than she initially knows.

You know what happens when you’re in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas… unfortunately that isn’t exactly the case here.

Tyler reveled in the idea that Sherry didn’t know who he was. The anonymity was amazing and his omission in telling her the truth bites him in the ass when their accidental marriage is found out by the press. So what better way to save both their images than to pretend it’s actually real? Nothing could go wrong with that right?
I think what I loved most about this book in the series was seeing Sherry navigate her relationship with Tyler.

Now don’t get me wrong – Tyler absolutely gets a spot on the swoony guy list … I mean a guy with a guitar *flail* but that’s not the only thing he has going for him… he’s so lovely to Sherry and after seeing the assfaces she’s put up with, it’s so nice to see her with someone amazing and who treats her the way she should be treated. Plus, you guys – I swooned at the sweetest post-it notes in the world that he leaves her.

Let me warn you all now, this is a book from the Entangled Bliss series, which means it’s a clean romance – no dirty parts. Yes I miss those parts, but Harris makes up for it with some of the sexiest and romantic moments I’ve read in a while. I loved the chemistry between Ty and Sherry and the build of the relationship. When making the deal with each other they made some ground rules and one of those was that despite their steamy night in Vegas, there would be no sex now… hopefully to avoid heartbreak when their time together would be up. When no sex is on the table, the focus falls on getting to know each other and their families and that is exactly what happens.

If you’re looking for a light, romantic read I can’t recommend this series enough and once this title is released the series will be done. This both makes me incredibly happy and sad at the same time. Happy because I know that means Ms. Harris will be working on more new things and sad because that means we’ve met all the Robicheaux family members … but hopefully that just means we’ll get to meet more of those amazing women and swoony men that are trapped inside her head. (I think I'd love to hear more about Charlie!) I am really looking forward to more in this genre from Rachel Harris. Go grab these books now!

Tyler Blue is a country music legend. His life is completely devoted to the music and despite women throwing themselves at him he generally brushes them off and returns to his hotel room alone. Until he sees Sherry in the green room. She's completely different to the women in his world, starting with the purple streaked hair, her smart mouth and the fact that she doesn't know him from bar of soap.

After being burned by love, Sherry takes a job in Las Vegas catering a Tyler Blue's green room. While there she meets a guy who she thinks is a roadie and after the concert they paint the town red. Two days later she wakes up with a terrible hangover and married to the legend himself.

But Sherry doesn't fit into Tyler's plans. The simple solution is a quickie divorce. The only problem is his fans expect him to live up to his love songs and a divorce could spell the end of his career. He makes a deal with Sherry, he'll spend a month with her playing the devoted husband before returning to the tour. Then after a bit of time has passed they can quietly go their separate ways. As the days pass, they come to depend on each other and fall in love. But his life is on the road and her life is Magnolia Springs.

I honestly don't like books set around the music industry, I don't like the groupies and the hook ups, I don't like that whole hedonistic lifestyle the gossip magazines pummel me with. Thankfully, Accidentally Married on Purpose isn't about that at all. It's a sweet contemporary romance about two people who are perfectly matched but have different goals. It gives me exactly what I want from contemporary romance, a book focused on relationships that is fulfilling and affirming.

Many thanks to Entangled Publishing for providing me with this ARC

I love the whole married in Las Vegas troupe and add in a country music star who didn't appear to be a major player and you've got a great book!

'Accidentally Married on Purpose' is the third book in the 'Love and Games' series that features the Robicheaux family siblings, Cane, Colby, and Sherry. This book focuses on Sherry and the man she meets and marries in Vegas. She hasn't a clue he's the lead singer in the country western band sensation 'Blue.'

This book is their journey from a drunken Vegas marriage, to staying married for his career for a short while, to falling madly, deeply in love. I have read this book three times and it will remain on my 'Re-read' list.

I highly recommend this along with books one and two. A great series.

Two words folks: Tyler. Blue.

............

..............

...........................

......................................

Tyler Blue to me is the Luke Bryan of the fictional book world.

Top Ten Reasons Why I Love Tyler:

1) He's a musician.

2) He wears tight jeans and big belt buckles.

3) He's incredibly down to earth and sweet.

4) He writes his own lyrics!

5) He is great with dogs.

6) He writes the sweetest notes ever via post-its and puts them on the bathroom mirror.

7) He's incredibly dedicated to the important things in his life. (His family, his music, his fake marriage to a spunky, curvy, purple haired vixen...)

8.) He's a great kisser.

"Sherry's question cut short as Tyler's mouth crashed down. The whimper in her throat said she didn't mind. It vibrated through him, and he clutched her close, her taste exploding on his tongue."

9). He has a sense of humor.

10) He's perfect for my homegirl Sherry.

If that isn't enough to get you to buy this book, let me expand a bit:

Rachel Harris just has this knack for writing and creating characters that will leave an impression on you. We met Sherry Robicheaux in Harris's first book in the series Taste the Heat, and she's known as Magnolia Springs' wild child. She's spunky, fun, and spontaneous. She believes in love and the fairy tale endings, but unfortunately it hasn't quite happened for her yet. Seeing her older sister and brother settling down, Sherry is feeling rather wistful in this book. She's always been drawn to the exciting, dangerous guys before, but now she realizes they just end up leaving you with a whole lot of heartbreak. After her most recent relationship disaster, Sherry has decided it's time to find a safe, reliable guy (aka Mr. Boring). AFTER she goes to cater an event in Las Vegas of course. Sherry has one more weekend to sow her wild oats before coming home and what better way to do that than with a sexy roadie working for a famous country group? Sherry seems to have missed the memo that what happens in Vegas is supposed to stay in Vegas. Waking up to find out you're married kind of makes that a moot point.

The so-called roadie that Sherry found herself having one last hurrah with? He's none other than the very popular Tyler Blue of the band Blue. Having Sherry not know who he was, was refreshing and for once, Tyler just wanted to have a fun-filled weekend with a crazy, fun, beautiful girl. Getting married is very low on Tyler's list of priorities and isn't something he ever seems himself doing. His focus is 100% on his career and this is the last thing he needs.... according to him. With all the other popular country singers being married, the industry firmly believes that being in love is what's selling and making hits. Tyler Blue is no exception. His publicist thinks maybe waking up in Vegas might not have been such a bad idea after all....

Whew boy. Tyler and Sherry are definitely attracted to one another. They have the explosive chemistry and the bite your lip in anticipation sexual tension going on. Pretending to be married isn't going to be a walk in the park for either one. Tyler makes it clear that he's not looking for a real relationship- just enough of one to give the critics what they want. Sherry agrees to help Tyler, but tells him while they're pretending, she wants to own it. The last thing she needs is everyone making a mockery of her in her own hometown. She wants the fairy tale and if they're going to do this, they're going to do it well.

However, with both of them being so attracted to one another and then forming a friendship, can hearts really be left out of the equation?

Fans of the series will get to briefly see Angie, Cane, Emma, Jason, and Colby in this book and will also be introduced to Charlie, Tyler's bandmate, who isn't afraid to go after the ladies.

I love that both Sherry and Tyler are genuine characters and truly want what's best for the other. Tyler's reasoning for no relationship attachments are legitimate and not just put in to create a bunch of drama and angst. The more time he spends with Sherry, the more he feels confused about what's happening and the things he's feeling. Even though Sherry has been burned by love, I'm glad she hasn't turned into a hardcore cynic. She still holds out hope that she'll find her own happiness. She's the real deal folks. Pretending to be Tyler's wife, where he's surrounded by beautiful, gorgeous women can be intimidating and she sometimes thinks that maybe when their relationship is all said and done it would be better for him to be with someone different. Sherry is not overly insecure though and I really like that she is proud and loves herself.

Overall, this book is definitely worth picking up. Harris writes such fluid, fast-paced, FUN stories and the romances are spot on! She creates some palpable sexual tension, but doesn't overdo any of the romantic scenes and make them feel cheesy or anything like that. You'll fall in love with both Sherry and Tyler and will be crossing your fingers in hopes that these crazy kids will figure out that sometimes getting accidentally married on purpose is the way to go....

Wow! I fell head-over-heels in love with Tyler Blue and his post-it notes. I sobbed like a baby and loved every teary moment.
I was snagged by the title of this read. This is my first Rachel Harris romance and I am wondering how this is the first time one of her books has crossed my path. I must have been hiding under a rock or something because this author is amazingly talented. Her character development is out of this world. From the blue streaks in Sherry’s hair to Tyler’s girl, Rachel’s characters found their way into my heart. Sherry is so much like me it is not even funny. My streaks are in the front of my face and they are blonde not purple, but the open honesty and sass that Sherry exhibits is what I hope I am achieving in my own persona. Tyler is every girls dream. Not for his stardom, but for what Rachel reveals is his true self. Rachel also tackles breast and ovarian cancer in this read. My best friend died at age 32 of breast cancer, she fought the good fight and this book brought good memories back and also is a good reminder to make sure you go to your check-ups ladies.

Vegas, what happens there does not always stay there. After reading this book, even the thought that Tyler and Sherry were not going to be together is preposterous at best. If two people were ever meant to be together it is Sherry and Tyler. I love that Rachel took parts of a real life event and wrote a story around it. The post-it notes were something that Rachel’s husband inspired. Those notes really touched my heart and have inspired me to do the same for someone that I care about. Just letting them know that as each day passes someone is thinking about them is huge. This book is a must read. It is completely worthy of 6-stars. I don’t give out very many 6-star reviews. I am still blowing my nose and drying my tears after this read. It has evoked so much emotion that it has earned a 6-star rating. Bravo Mrs. Harris! I will be one-clicking every single book you have ever written after reading Accidentally Married on Purpose.

This is what I had prior to reading the book. I didn't want to delete it because I love Cane and wanted to always remember that ;)
NGL, I hope we get to see Cane deck the dude who broke his sister's heart in Taste the Heat. I {heart} snarky Sherry!

Now onto the review!

5 stars.

I think by now you know how much I love Rachel Harris. And I love this series. This was one of my most anticipated books of the year, and it totally delivered.

First of all, I love Sherry. Which is different for me, but from the beginning of this series, I knew she was a girl to look out for. She's sassy and fun and not afraid to express her opinion. And *sigh* sweet, swoony Tyler. I love this guy! I loved the way their "relationship" got started and the reasons for not letting go. I loved the part the town played in them staying together and I just loved everything.

My only complaint about this...and I'm pretty sure it's been my complaint with every other Bliss book, is that it's a Bliss book! We don't get to see the sexy times. But what we do get is totally swoonworthy and hot and worth every second.

Rachel Harris is always a hit for me, and I am so glad she keeps bringing relatable storylines I love, tons of swoon, and characters who kick ass. Trust, you want to grab this book--this entire series--right now.

I liked both leads well enough, they were fun and their flirting was super adorable. But there was no *real* conflict in the book. It was another case of two people just assuming the worst about the other without even the minimal amount of communication, and once either of them said literally anything about their feelings all the "problems" went away.

Also, and I know this is just shouting in the void and this trope will never go away, but I'm going to keep on anyway. You can't get drunk married in Vegas. You can have a ceremony, but you just legally can't file paperwork while drunk, and a marriage isn't legally binding unless you go to the stodgy gov't building and file for a license. (The fact that they brought up annulment and were like "well, we had sex that night, so annulment isn't an option" was doubly confusing. Annulments are for when the marriage doesn't have validity, reasons include: being coerced, being lied to/manipulated into it, and BEING BLACKOUT DRUNK AT THE TIME.)

(Okay, enough ranting from me.)

Loved Accidentally Married on Purpose!

I was so excited when I heard Rachel Harris was going to give us Sherry's story. I loved her character from the other books in this must read series, and boy was I right to be excited.
This book was SOOOO good, loved Sherry and OMG Tyler made my heart swoon!

They had amazing chemistry, loved their banter and just everything about them. I truly couldn't find anything that I didn't like or enjoy about this book.

I love the Love and Games series and Accidentally Married on Purpose is now my favorite book from the series. I highly recommend you read this series :)

I'm a huge fan of Rachel Harris and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author.

Oh man, this is my favorite of Rachel's books. I do adore this series, but Sherry was always my favorite. I'm thrilled she got her own book.

Love love love the premise. Rachel's got a way of writing the UST and she excels at it. Sherry and Tyler almost made my head explode. As always, the dual pov is fantastic, I so love being able to see both sides of the story.

Lots of snark, heavy on the southern charm and a light dusting of heartfail made for an easy and fun read. I'm sort of hoping we get to see Charlie's story next.

Rachel Harris is officially one of my favorite authors! I’ve loved every single one of her books that I’ve read, but this one was the cherry at the top of a chocolate fondue sundae. I don’t even know if that’s a real sundae, but it sounds delicious.

I couldn’t put this book down from the moment I started it and devoured it in less than 8 hours. After meeting Sherry in Seven Day Fiance, I was so hoping to get to know her much more and see more of her spunky attitude. I also wanted another romance to swoon over and for Sherry to get her happy ending, just like her brother Cane. Of course, after getting her heart broken, Sherry decided that one last wild night was all she needed before she settled down and searched for Mr. Boring.

Tyler Blue is country musics rising star with his eyes on one thing only: his music. He has no desire to settle down and get married, but when he happens to meet Sherry in the green room of one of his concert venues, there is no doubt the chemistry is alive. When is asks her to spend the weekend with him, neither have a clue the crazy, romantic adventure they are in for….

In this What Happens in Vegas meets Country Strong – wow that’s a terrible comparison, but the only one to come to mind as I type this in the wee hours of the morning- you’re sure to get caught up in the swoon worthy romantic story of Tyler and Sherry. I loved the sarcasm, the wit and the charm both Sherry and Tyler possessed, and I loved being taken back to the charming New Orleans setting.

Sherry, Tyler, the romance, the chemistry..everything about it was perfection.

And don’t even get me started on that ending….. ;)

You’re sure to enjoy this romantic read, as well as the other books by Rachel Harris. As soon as this book is released on July 14th, I highly recommend that you jump at the chance to add it to your reading list.

Since Sherry’s been my favorite character of the series from Taste the Heat onward, I was so hoping she’d get a fun story and a worthy hero. Thankfully, she got both! This book was a blast from start to finish, with a lot of heart sprinkled on top. Only Sherry would go to Vegas, meet a country music superstar, have no clue who he is and then end up drunkenly married to the guy. I may have played Brett Eldredge’s Drunk on Your Love on repeat while reading this. No regrets!

As I said, I already loved Sherry and I quickly fell for Tyler as well. Both of them were extremely likable, a running trait courtesy of Rachel Harris’s writing, and they also had personal, yet still relatable reasons for avoiding love. Whether because the emotion only led to distraction or disappointment, neither Tyler or Sherry were looking for ‘the one’ and yet that’s exactly what happened; in the most unbelievably amazing mix of fairy tale and kdrama kind of way possible of course and I loved every moment of it. From Tyler’s post-it love notes, to their impromptu dances in the rain, there was so much swoon over.

But of course, no book is perfect. In this case, Sherry and Tyler had severe cases of noble idiocy towards the end which was grating to say the least. Blessedly they do snap out of it rather quickly which helped to ease the appearance of that much dreaded trope considerably. Plus the epilogue was so freaking adorable! I think I’ve officially become a Rachel Harris fan for life.

AN AMAZING MODERN DAY FAIRY TALE!!!!!

ACCIDENTALLY MARRIED ON PURPOSE by Rachel Harris is a sweet contemporary romance featuring a country western crooner and a quirky, down-home girl. It's the third book in Rachel's Love and Games series set in the Louisiana bayou. There are interconnected characters in the books and a tad of a continuing thread but this book can be easily read as a standalone. However, I highly recommend reading all the books in this series as they are all fantastic reads.

#1: Taste the Heat (Fire Captain Jason Landry and Chef Colby Robicheaux)

#2: Seven Day Fiancé (Crooning Restaurant Owner Cane Robicheaux and Angelle Prejean)

#3: Accidentally Married on Purpose (Country music artist Tyler Blue and Sherry Robicheaux)

When it comes to feel-good, sweet romances with those oh-so-lovable HEA, you can't beat a Rachel Harris book. Here, you've got an amazing girl who hasn't quite realized her potential yet, but she's got big dreams and an even bigger heart. Mix that up with a sexy country singer who knocks the girl, and the reader, off her feet - it's sure to entertain you from start to finish and leave you with a smile on your face.

I love the Southern feel Harris put into this series, the atmosphere, and to the characters. It's so charming! I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves a good "fake marriage" bit that turns into the real deal, right? Every time I start a book by Rachel, I know I'm in for a sweet treat.

What did I think? You want to know what I thought, Goodreads?

Okay then.

I just finished the book this afternoon. It's 8 hours later. I'm still smiling and having all the fluttery butterfly feels. That's what Rachel Harris's writing does--gives me the fluttery butterflies.

I absolutely adore this book. Tyler and Sherry are one of my favorite couples ever. That's right, people. I ship them. Big freaking time.

If you haven't read books one and two in the Love and Games series, Taste the Heat and Seven Day Fiance, then you have three books worth of fluttery butterflies ahead of you. Hurry up. You've got the weekend to catch up because this book comes out on MONDAY (July 14)!

It isn’t often that I read a book that makes me smile the whole way through and then, even a week later, makes me smile just thinking about! I adored this book – the characters were great, the writing was superb, and the story captured me from the first page.

So we have Sherry – wild child, addicted to love, crazy chica…at least according to everyone in town, including her family. But after yet another failed relationship, she thinks she has the perfect solution to get her love life on track – hang up her wild ways and settle down with someone boring. Of course one last weekend of crazy in Vegas is just what she needs before she settles down and puts her new plan in action.

And then we have Tyler – so focused on his music he doesn’t have time for nor does he want any type of relationship. Heck, music is his life, and there is no room for anything but his music. He’s also tired of the fame game, with people only interested in Tyler Blue the musician, not Tyler Blue the man – so even dating or hooking up on tour just isn’t something he’s really interested right now.

So when Sherry and Tyler’s paths cross and they spend a weekend in Vegas that leads them to waking up married – well, doesn’t that just throw a monkey wrench in to both of their long term plans. Of course the fact that Sherry has no idea that the man she married was actually Tyler Blue the famous musician, and then Tyler’s record label deciding that his marriage is just what his image needs so a quickie divorce isn’t really the best course of action…well let’s just say this sets the stage for an interesting arrangement and the groundwork for a fake marriage that just might have more to it than either Sherry or Tyler realizes.

I just loved watching Sherry and Tyler fight the wild attraction that existed between them, and although it was so frustrating watching them keep each other at arm’s length because it was the safe thing to do, it was also endearing to see just how sweet, thoughtful and considerate they were to one another – they really were just what the other needed. And poor Tyler…even though in hindsight they were just what these two needed to find their way to each other, Sherry’s rules were almost more than he could handle, especially the “no sex” one!

The world was already in love with his sass-mouthed caterer, calling Sherry a “down-home sweetheart” and after the photos of their kiss, the latest polls speculated on how long it would take until she’d be in the “family way.”

Fat chance of that happening, rules or not. But the nonstop talk only fed his memories of Vegas. And three nights of sliding past each other in the hall, and three days of sitting shoulder-to-shoulder on the sofa, ratcheted their sexual tension to the point of insanity. He was on two-a-day cold showers as it was; an entire night of breathing her sweet-scented skin, hearing her soft sighs near his ear might very well kill him.

And those post-it notes…***melting***…let’s just say if I found these on my bathroom mirror each day those rules would have been so out the window!

From Em & M Books

I totally loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Rachel Harris. I have not read the first two books in this series and don’t feel that I missed out on anything from not having some of the backstory on the other characters – of course I did go out and purchase the first two books in the series and will be reading them shortly. I look forward to catching up on this series and finding out whose story will be next!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Oh my! This was such a sweet and fun romance! I absolutely loved this. Rachel Harris is amazing at writing swoony love stories, and this was one of my favorites. Very low drama, very sweet, and very entertaining. Sherry and Tyler's story took me away on a whirl-wind romance that I didn't want to step out of. Both were amazing characters that I easily connected with and I enjoyed being in their heads. Most stories like this have some type of major drama that is usually a stupid misunderstanding before the HEA comes, but this one didn't have that. Yes, things weren't totally smooth, but there was no fallout that makes things crazy. (or crazier) I loved that the most about this.

Sherry is a character that I instantly liked. We meet her in the previous books, but don't really get to know her. We already knew she was a little feisty and fell for the bad boys, but we get to know her on a deeper level. She is in love with love, just not so lucky in it. She falls fast and hard and usually gets her heart broken. She makes a promise to herself that she will settle down with a boring nice guy...after one last fun fling in Vegas. She is instantly drawn to Tyler, not knowing he is the famous lead singer of Blue, a super popular country band. After a fun and wild weekend, she wakes up on the bathroom floor of a hotel room with some major bling on her left hand. She goes along with a plan about how to deal with the whole marriage thing, but as she gets to know Tyler, she knows she is in over her head and it will lead to heartbreak. It is just a ruse after all, right?

Tyler Blue was amazing!! Instantly stereotyped as a man whore, he's anything but that. True, he has no desire to settle down, and this crazy marriage is the last thing he wanted, but he's a total romantic (leaving post-it notes with sweet messages) and super sweet (he's great with kids). As he gets to know Sherry, he knows that she is the perfect wife, but his lifestyle isn't the type of thing he would want her involved in. Being a country star is his dream, but she has her own. He knows that he is falling for her, and the more time he spends with her, he can't help wanting her for real.

This romance was so perfect. Complicated due to their situation, but not really drama filled at all. It all starts when Sherry and Tyler have a fun weekend in Vegas. She thinks he is just a hot roadie on the tour and decides he is her perfect final fling. He is intrigued that she doesn't know who he is, and liked that he can have a fun time and act normal. When they end up married, it's disaster for both of them. Except it's perfect publicity for him and he has a plan. When he goes to her hometown to stay with her for a month and act happily married, they both are fighting the real attraction they have for each other. They are both falling, but don't think the other is. When it comes time for him to go back on the road, of course we know it will be heartbreak for both of them, but hope that they will both be brave enough to go for what they really want.

I adore romance that has you swooning and this totally did. It was fantastic from start to finish. I loved both of them and their personalities. Their chemistry was off the charts!! I also loved having the characters from the previous novels so present. You don't have to read them to enjoy this one at all though. It does not change this amazing story one bit. Rachel Harris is totally my girl crush for awesome romance novels! She has done it again with this, and I hope for many, many more to come in the future!!

Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Probably my favourite book in the 'woke up married in Vegas' trope followed by a very enjoyable execution of the 'fake relationship' plot. Very often the reason behind the need for a fake relationship requires a bit of a stretch of the imagination (e.g. meddling relatives say a guy must marry before he can receive his inheritance) but given Tyler's career as a country music star, the need to stay married was realistic (and I like how the explanation was given as to how being a country star as opposed to a rock or pop star made the difference).

'Sherry thrust her left hand in his face. “Is this real?”
A muscle popped in his jaw, and his eyes glared at the ring on her finger like it was the bloody Ebola virus. “I don’t think it’s a cubic zirconia if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Not the freaking diamond!” she screamed again.'

Musicians can very often have some douchy qualities in romance novels but Tyler Blue was the perfect Southern gentleman (<3 the cute Elvis/Tyler scenes). The Post-It notes Tyler left on Sherry's mirror every morning has to be one of my favourite romantic gestures ever and I loved his relationship with his parents which we got a good insight to in a few short scenes.

Sherry was likeable in her own right and I loved the author's inside joke having Sherry constantly compare her life to that of heroines in her romance novels and her struggle to stay grounded and not believe she was going to get a happy-ever-after (oh, wait ....).

'For one brief, hope-filled second, the romantic in Sherry fantasized that somehow in the forty-eight hours they’d spent together, and the forty-eight hours since, Tyler had honestly fallen for her. That insta-love was real, cute babies shot arrows at people’s butts, and fairy tales existed in the real world. But then sanity returned, and she drop-kicked that part of herself to the curb. That had been the romance novels talking.'

Sherry being oblivious to Tyler's true identity made for some funny scenes

She pulled a face. “I’m not much for country, other than the line dances. All those songs about trucks and trains and whiskey and dogs, though that last one I can forgive.” Her smile softened and Tyler moved closer, wanting to be nearer the genuine warmth of it. “No offense to your boss or anything,” she added with a slight grimace. “I heard he’s pretty hot…even if he is the man-whore of country music.”
A shocked laugh burst from his lips. “Excuse me?”
She waved her comment away, as if she hadn’t just insulted him to his face—which, he guessed, she hadn’t really. At least not on purpose.'

It was nice to see the characters from previous books but I am most looking forward to seeing more of Charlie and hope that he gets his own book next.

I have been anxiously awaiting Sherry's book and I have to say...it exceeded every expectation I had! I LOVED this book! I loved every minute.

Sherry has always been the wild one of the family, so it's no surprise that she would head to Vegas and end up married. Not only did she get married, but she married a famous country singer. Oh and btw, she doesn't really like country music, but Tyler Blue...he's her exception. What was surprising in a way to me was that even though Sherry has an eclectic flair, she really does want a pretty "normal" life. She wants a good husband, a happy home, and maybe someday, some pretty babies. The other thing I loved about Sherry was, not only was she fun, but she was really sweet too. Not that I expected her to be mean, but she was definitely someone I would gravitate to in real life.

Then there Tyler. Yummy, yummy Tyler. So, the marriage started out on a whim, then it became a deal to save Tyler's image. Somewhere along the way, Tyler Blue fell in love with a blue haired girl that blew his world apart! As you can tell, I loved Sherry, but I love Tyler just as much. I loved that he was so consumed by her, even when he didn't particularly let her know he was. But this boy fell hard.

On a side note, I loved seeing the other characters from the series. The best part about reading a series for me is getting to know all the characters, so when you see them in later books, it feels like seeing an old family member. It brings a little comfort. Plus, I love seeing how their lives have moved forward.

Overall, Accidentally Married on Purpose was perfection. Sherry and Tyler were so much fun, but there was certainly plenty of electricity between them to give me the steamy moments I crave. Shelly and Tyler may have been opposites in many ways, but I think they found that not only do opposites attract, but that they ultimately wanted the same thing in the end...each other. Heart melts.

Quotes:
~Kissing Sherry wasn't about her damn rules. It wasn't to save his career. This woman was in his arms because he wanted her there.-Loc 1725

~Talking was overrated. It let to problems, questions, and revelations about feelings. Since she had the messy kind for Tyler, and he didn't reciprocate, that would lead to her doing the ugly cry. So not attractive. No, if talking had to happen, it'd be after sexy time.-Loc 2379

~Love was a strange beast. It came in many forms, and that's why at first she hadn't recognized it. What she felt for Tyler, even before last night, was so drastically different from anything she'd experienced before. This love was empowering, and it have Sherry the strength to do something so completely unlike her. Be selfless.-Loc 2422

Well, hell. This book left me feeling completely satisfied. There was something about this one that just stood out for me. I loved both Taste The Heat and Seven Day Fiance, but Accidentally Married on Purpose was the perfect book to conclude the series with.
I loved this book a little bit more than its predecessors, because of Sherry. I adore her. You read about her in the previous books and she seems like a bit of a flake, but when you read her character, you get instantly bowled over. She’s fun, spontaneous and it didn’t surprise me at all that I had a big girl crush on her. In fact I’m pretty sure I have more of a crush on her than I do on Tyler Blue. It’s just the way she is written. She’s been spurned by love so many times, falling for the bad boy or just the completely wrong guy, and now she’s ready for Mr Boring, Mr Responsible, and settle down. She wants to put her wild ways behind her. Thank god she didn’t. I wouldn’t be able to stand seeing her shut herself in a box and become someone she isn’t meant to be. Because she is meant to be wild and spontaneous, she is meant to be fun-loving and crazy, she’s meant to dance in the rain, dammit!
You know, I could go on and on about Sherry and how awesome she is, and I’ll probably end up sounding like a complete fangirl, but I know everyone wants to read about Tyler Blue. And I can’t blame you. Tyler Blue is the perfect specimen of a man. He is a GOD I tell you. I would jump his bones without hesitation. He’s drool-worthy and swoony and he sure as heck better be ready to catch me when my knees go weak. And again, it seems to me like I preferred him even more than I preferred bad-boy math nerd Caine in Seven Day Fiance. Not only is Tyler H-O-T, he is one of the sweetest guys as well. From the little post-it notes he leaves for Sherry in the bathroom, to the guitar lessons and sleeping with her dog instead of with her, made me go “aww” more than once. I didn’t even get pissed off with him when he left Sherry behind, because I knew he really loved her and he would realise it soon enough. He even put up with Sherry’s no-sex rule, even though they were already married and had already done the deed. I mean, if that isn’t the perfect man rolled into one very attractive package, then there is something seriously wrong with you. And you should probably let your doctor check you out, okay?
I’m so glad that Rachel Harris was born and is an author. Because if not, my heart would never have been this happy, and I never would have been as sleep deprived as I was when I finished reading Accidentally Married On Purpose, but darn it, it was worth it. If I ever wake up in Vegas, married to a celebrity, with no idea what happened, I can only hope that it would be even half as perfect as Sherry and Tyler’s story is.

This is my third book by Rachel Harris and I have to say, that I am now lifelong fan. Accidentally Married on Purpose is from Entangled Bliss, meaning that while it is still a Romance, it is the more PG version of Romance. But for those who like their Romance to be steamy, never fear. Rachel writes the hottest non-sex around. There was so much tension and build up that I didn't even notice that the final act was not explicit.

description

Tyler and Sherry meet and have an immediate and intense connection. Sherry has no idea that Tyler is actually Tyler Blue, the lead singer for the country music sensation Blue. And Tyler is in no hurry to set her straight. For the first time in a long time he is able to just enjoy himself with a beautiful woman who wants him because she likes him, not because she likes his fame or his money.

description

When they wake up in Vegas with giant hangovers and wedding bands on their fingers, they each have their own reasons for agreeing to continue the marriage, but in name only. There is to be no future, no romance, and no kissing, but can Tyler and Sherry keep their hands off of each other during the next few weeks before Tyler has to go back out on tour?

description

Rachel Harris has been blessed with the gift of swoon. Each book in this series delivers a sweet and sexy story, complete with an amazing female lead who gets swept off her feet by a ridiculously determined alpha male who knows how to lay the swoon on incredibly thick. The ties of family and friendship run deep throughout and make me want to drive to Louisiana and search for Magnolia Springs and Robicheaux's Cajun Restaurant. If you haven't started this series, I encourage you to begin that journey today.

You know that feeling when you don’t want to do anything else but finish the book you’re reading? That’s the kind of books Rachel Harris writes. Utter cuteness that you want to gobble up in one sitting and pretend there is nothing else on your to-do list.

Accidentally Married on Purpose is the second book I’ve read from Rachel Harris. The first one was The Fine Art of Pretending  and now that I’ve read a few of Harris’ books, I have to say that I’m really looking forward to reading even more of them!

With Accidentally Married on Purpose we have a cliché plot, but a couple that is so adorable you just don’t care. The chemistry is off the charts, but we get a slow burn development of the relationship. Even though you know the two are going to work everything out in the end, watching them get there is a lot of fun!

If you’re looking for something swoon worthy, I’d definitely recommend Accidentally Married on Purpose. I fully plan on checking out the other books in this series — they also sound cute and I’m definitely curious about the supporting characters’ love stories which were explored in the earlier novels.

I expected this to be one of those normal 'waking up married in Vegas' stories but I didn't expect to swoon over their story. I think it's safe to say that this book made me rethink about lasting first impressions because I was sure they weren't accurate.

The first chapter made me thought that Sherry was a sappy softie with an optimistic view on love. While that is not entirely wrong, she was also a witty and sharped-tongue woman who is not afraid of speaking her mind. Tyler also made me thought he's the typical cynical dude who's a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, but ugh- he was so adorable and I really can't blame Sherry for falling in love with him. His post-it notes were simple yet so cute.

The last few chapters made me tear up a bit and I seriously want to drag each of them at one place and just take. Maybe give them a dose of Veritaserum because their selflessness were getting in the way of both of their happiness. That scene when Tyler opened the door and surprised everyone was the best though. I really made me jump up and down.

This is the 3rd book of the series and I went against what I used to do even though they're just companion novels. But I just have to read the first two books and maybe reread this one after. :)
