That an elaborate system has been created which causes some people to whom the tax laws do not otherwise apply (maybe including you) to inadvertently declare themselves to be among the persons to whom those laws do apply.
That “income”, “wages”, “self-employment income”, “employee”, “employer” and “trade or business”-- as used within, and in regard to, the tax law-- have narrow legal meanings exclusively involving, and applying to, certain privileged activities, such as holding or administering a government office, or working in one.
That although the tax statutes make clear that, for instance, language describing the obligations of "employees"-- and the taxes to which "employees are subject-- only apply to a small minority of American workers, the distinction is artfully concealed in the IRC representation of the law, and is never forthrightly acknowledged in any IRS publication.
That, after the 16th Amendment, Frank Brushaber, a citizen of New York, was taxed on federal railroad dividends but NOT private stock dividends
Researcher, analyst and scholar Peter E. Hendrickson believes that after Cracking the Code, you’ll agree that what has been misunderstood is how, and to whom, the tax code applies. Hendrickson delves deep into the history, statutes and case law behind the Code to reveal its startling secrets; and unless you live in a cave, you need to know what he has uncovered. Once you've finished Cracking the Code, the tax laws will never mean the same thing to you, or your bank account, again!
Pete Hendrickson's shocking expose of the IRS tax scam. Over 95% of Americans are legally NOT REQUIRED to pay taxes to the Federal government. Based upon a reading of all 9 million words of the IRS code.
Brilliant. The man is a true American hero and I can't even imagine all the hard work that went into writing this well researched book. At the very least the truth Mr. Hendrickson reveals will liberate you. At the very most it thrust you into action. Do yourself a favor and read this book!!!!!!
What I love about this book is that it: A) Makes it obvious that most people don't owe the Income Tax, B) Has been combed over by the government searching for errors and none have been identified, C) Has been misrepresented in what it says in order to make it incorrect in order for the federal government to suppress the knowledge in this book and maximize its revenue. D) Could, if it became popluar, make the WAY-too-large government WAY smaller (for lack of money).
Such shrinkage in leviathan would take with it the government's foolish tendencies to: 1) pretend that banks are "too big to fail", and therefore take more money from the people and give it to the banks (aka "TARP" or, "The Authorities Robbing People" - See the "Too Big To Fail" movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Too_Big_...), 2) make loans to countries that don't need them in order to collect tax revenue from them later, essentially making them serfs (see Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...), 3) give money to school districts in return for keeping people stupid enough to be ripped off by crony capitalism (as well as unconstitutional taxation that isn't even in the law!) without resisting (see Bobby Jindal's lawsuit against the Obama administration about Common Core: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/na...), 4) give money to police departments in order to get them to agree to oppress the people they are supposed to "protect and serve" through the "war on drugs" and all manner of other domination (see how both political parties are in on it: http://www.laprogressive.com/militari...), and 5) create legislation to protect their friends' very large businesses from competition (for one example, see the link between pot and Big Pharma: http://www.thenation.com/article/1804...#).
I wish there was a different rating system for a book like this. This book should either get a 1 star if his facts are wrong. But it should get a 5 star if his facts are true.
This book looked at the portions of the Internal Revenue Code that relates to most workers in the 50 states and whether or not it applies to them. The author concluded that for most workers, the IRC does not apply to them. If this is true, then the implications are important. If he is wrong, then this book is only good for kindling.
A marvelous read. All true Americans must read it. Our country was founded upon the noble principle of keeping 100% of the fruits of one's non-federally-privileged labor. The good news is that that has been true ever since, even now. Learn how we have been tricked into legally mis-classifying our earnings as taxable. Once you have an understanding, simply file timely and accurate tax returns, and hold the government to the rule of law. Dig into the author's giant website (losthorizons.com) and soak up the life-changing information. I did!
This book is complete nonsense and the work of a domestic terrorist. Hendrickson sent a bomb in the mail to the IRS which injured a postal worker and bystander. This book is the rambling of an unstable and violent moron. Does it matter to any of you that the courts have rejected every single one of Hendrickson's assertions? This book should be advertised as an idiots guide to getting sent to prison.
"Cracking the Code" is an excellent study of taxation in America with a laser-like focus on the income tax.
The book starts off with some basic but much needed background information about the two kinds of taxation, direct and indirect taxes. It talks about how the income tax got started during the civil war time. It talks about how the income tax was challenged in the Supreme Court on more than one occasion.
One of the great things that Peter goes into depth about is how the widespread misconception that the Sixteenth Amendment was the start of the income tax and that it allowed for a direct tax to be laid upon the people without apportionment in direct opposition to Article 1, Section 9, Clause 4 of the Constitution: "No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census of Enumeration herein before directed to be taken."
It continues on to discuss, in detail, what the income tax is lawfully based upon and what it is NOT based upon. Many of the ideas that we have of the income tax system are challenged in a way that makes you stop and think. Everything that Peter discusses is backed by the Constitution, Supreme Court rulings, and law. You can, and should, research and study for yourself that what Peter is teaching is actually the truth. I have done just that and have found "Cracking the Code" to be completely legit and lawful in what it teaches.
Peter has an excellent website filled with pages and pages of information and testimonials from people who have learned the truth about the income tax. Check it out, you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. http://losthorizons.com
This is a very deep book. I gave it five stars for the content. Prepare yourself - it’s like reading a textbook. Persevere, because the information is more than worth it! You will be astounded.
Hard-hitting truth. Lots of information to digest and lies previously planted to uproot. Persist and re-read small sections until it sinks in, then continue. The truth does prevail!
