This book has me all excited for the release of Commander Hadfield's own book in October. I followed him with much enthusiasm while he was orbiting the earth. So I look forward to reading more.
This book #GoodMorningEarth is a good way to get a look into like on the ISS and what it's like to train for such a mission. I loved the photos, and I look forward to jumping on my iPad to see them in colour too. The selection of tweets from space was nice. Some I can recall reading st the time, others I must have missed.
I did occasionally find that this book repeats itself. I waited for the whole book for mention of Commender Hadfield's collaboration with the Barenaked Ladies, but was a little over reading and rereading how 6 months in space can age a person 50 years if they don't exercise. I was amazed by that fact the first time it was mentioned. By the third mention I wanted to say "get to the point". There were a few things that were repeated in this way, and that became a little frustrating. As if the different people who collaborated on the book, didn't think to compare notes.
All in all though, it was a good read. I got Geary quite a bit, simply because this man and his stories move me so much. He achieved a lot, and made so many people sit up and take notice.
