The penultimate volume features non stop fighting, which with this artwork meant non-stop confusing pages. Ganta, Senji and co. go all-out against a seemingly resurrected antagonist. I am looking forward to finishing this, never having to suffer this poor work again and finally starting another manga series. A One Star, 2 out of 12 read. 2025 read
Basically hagire is still alive at the end of the volume, he is the boss fight. I think there will be no end fight with shiro, probably even though he is about to be done, but is he really? maybe there will be a fight with shiro after all fuck it i don't know! lol This manga is about teams really people helping each other, and standing for each other friends, if you want to call them that. Its not a solo act where ganta igarachi is the only one of importance, i mean even the villains got their own origin story, and their time under the spotlight. Its not a duo act where its ganta and shiro the only ones that matter, and seriously i am not even a big fan of ganta, i mean not even a little bit, i enjoy shiro and some of the others a lot more.
The action scenes are all big explosions and I can't tell what exactly happened. The villain had to be saved by a random character with a random backstory just so that the story gets dragged further.
We learned more about Toto and how he is made into another crazy guy. Senji lived thank goodness but Ganta is on the edge of death. And what did Toto say to Ganta I wonder? Hope the final volume answers my questions.
this was a twisted story, but in the end, it had a tragic beauty to it that just compelled you to watch till the end. I love Shiro and what happened to her was horrendous. Some things I just had to pick at unnecessarily but all in all, it was fantastic read. I couldn't put the manga down. It was so good.
The rest of Ganta’s crew arrive for backup support, turning the in Ganta and Crow’s favor. The two boys team up to take down Woodpecker. After leaving the wreckage of the fight behind, Ganta learns of the toll that the Branch of Sin has on his own body and how he can use his power to manipulate the Mother Goose system created to weaken The Wretched Egg. With the mastermind out of the way, Ganta and his crew have one last mission to put a stop to their friend Shiro before her madness destroys them all.
A straight continuation from volume 11. Loved seeing Ganta and Crow surviving and fighting together. They’ve both come a long way and been through hell. They had a lot of badass moments in this volume. The rest of the crew showing support for Ganta as a leader is nice to see.
Now the final conflict awaits. We’ll see how he deals with Shiro in the final volume. I have a feeling one or both of them will die in the finale given how things have been going. I hope the ending is an emotional rollercoaster.
This one was fine I suppose but more of the same since Senji and Ganta fought alongside each other to defeat Rinichiro who is apparently immortal. At this stage I just want to know what the connection between Ganta and Shiro is and why Ganta's branch of sin is indeed as important as everybody seems to think it is. Truth be told very little happened in this one but we at least get to see how perseverant these characters are for the sole reason that they don't give up simply because they are told they're useless. This defiance is rather inspirational yet the antagonist seems to have as much stamina as the ones trying to defeat him and he keeps stealing bodies with the best branches of sin. Cool concept but you could have wrapped it up 4 volumes ago.
The extras were quite creepy btw in the sense that they were unexpectedly perverted and gross even though they are played off as hilarious. I didn't laugh.
After discovering Ganta's past and how he is related to the origin of Shiro's malignant second personality, Makina still decides to follow suit with the previous mission to defeat Toto and the Wretched Egg.
More secrets become unfolded and we even discover a little bit about Toto's unfortunate demise. The girl with pink hair seems like a very pointless character but we get to discover a little bit more about the strange twin bodyguards that will protect Toto at all costs.
The action continues in this volume where you have no idea what will happen next.
Deadman Wonderland is a combination amusement park/gladiator ring and prison for the wrongly accused. The story, Deadman Wonderland continues as Ganta Igarashi, our teenage main character and his band of Deadman friends attempt to put an end to the villains remaining at the Deadman Wonderland. Things change and get complicated as our story moves along.
Ah we are in the "final boss" with multi phases. The first thing that came to mind after finding out about the body snatching was "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson ole man!?" A little late to be still doing back stories but hey it happens when you throw in a new cast member this late.
This is so backwards. I hated this series until the last couple of volumes. Normally I would've given up, but this series was recommended by so many people I finally see why. I just wish it would've had a stronger start.
A pretty good volume. Once again, there were some really nice flashback moments and some greatly drawn fight scenes. Although it doesn't really show all of the strengths of the series, and even falls into some of its common pitfalls, I like the plot twists and emphasis on the villains in this book.
The story is very much coming to an end, more lore and backstories and a major fight at the end that’s left on a cliffhanger. There’s extras at the end of this one, fun little side stories for each of the characters making me love them even more. This volume is chapters 49-52.
[4'75★] Penúltimo volumen y no me puedo imaginar como va a terminar esto... Le he cogido mucho cariño a algunos personajes y me va a costar decirles adiós.
