I started this series last year while reading for SPSFC and it continues to entertain me quite well a year and three books later. Full review to follow.

Insider, book 3 of Jordan Rivet's The Lost Clone collection, takes us on a wild ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end! This episode is filled to the brim with adventure, danger, intrigue, subterfuge, and politics. Jane is back and ready to take on the agency and the big corporations responsible for ruining so many lives. Will she succeed, or will more clone units and people get hurt in ⁹her pursuit of justice? Overall, Insider is a great addition to a fantastic series!

This got more interesting 😎

Annnnd she's back! I hadn't enjoyed book 2 as much as book 1 but this one did not disappoint 😍
Jordan Rivet does it again! The book starts off right where book 2 left off, with Jane taking Janette's place. Things don't go as planned though. She does finally figure out who her sponsor is, but everything involved was much bigger than she imagined and she is worried for the real Janette and Dean.
It's a bit slow at first but it picks up and I was completely focused, right along with Jane, trying to figure out what her next step would be. So many secrets, new characters, twists and chases! Loved it 😂
Plus....I happy that Dean and Jane got to spend more time together! MUCH more time than they got in the previous books, and I just gotta say, I love them together 🥰
Dean is so smart and resourceful and a huge help to Jane, supporting her goals even with risk to himself. Such a perfect book boyfriend hehe
Of course, the ending leaves us hanging and it'll be a anxious wait until April 2024 to find out what happens next! Best book in the series so far and excited to see where it goes😃

Insider follows the other two books in this series with the same feeling of anticipation and excitement. By this point, we as an audience have found ourselves caring a lot for Jane, and it feels good to have a protagonist that we're actively rooting for, not just because she's the protagonist and we're supposed to, but because we genuinely enjoy her as a character. Rivet has done a very good job of making a main character who is three-dimensional and has her faults, but is extremely likable in spite of them. The action also ramps up in this installment as opposed to the other two books -- and it's exciting all the way through! All of the characters had personality, were believable as actual people, and I rooted for all of them in some way. I really liked the way that Rivet dived into each character's reasoning for what they're doing. No one felt like a flat one-dimensional person, even the "villains" of the story, who were only villains because they, like the protagonists, cared for people that just happened to be people whose goals didn't align with our protagonist.

Eagerly awaiting the next installment of Jane's story!

Jane is back and still searching for answers and this time she finds out a lot when an opportunity comes up.. But she has to make choices as always. Another great story that is full of danger, intrigue, surprises and so much more. I was glued to the end to see what Jane uncovers and faces this time. It was good and such a blast to read as the previous books. This series is so good and just gets better with each new story.

I really enjoyed these first 3 books of the lost clone series. The writing feels somehow young, younger than young adult, like something my English teachers would have picked for the class to read in years 7 or 8. I never could put my finger on what made it feel so young or basic. With that being said, the story is so compelling, and there are some great plot twists, I didn't want to put it down. Looking forward to book 4!

Jane is getting close to uncovering her sponsor, along the way she finds out that a terrifying new implant technology is under development that could effect clones and non clones alike. She finds another Jane batchmate and the cliffhanger ending has her going after another one. Journalists and others who want to alert folks to their hidden recording devices (wear yellow armbands) are like the Walmart folks with strap on cameras. Cover art inconsistency? don’t remember Jane ever wearing a cape?

There is nothing not to like. It is such an awesome feeling reading this. You actually start to believe that there are clones in real life.
At times you could cut the tension with a knife. I’m so grateful to have been privileged to read this so early.
Jordan is a master in her craft and I can’t recommend this book enough.

Insider strategy

This third book of the series was a lot more tense and action packed than the previous two replacement and batchmates. But the insider escape is still fraught with unanswered questions and danger on all sides from new and old enemies.

Yes, I'm hooked on this series. The staked raise with every book, the characters learn and grow, the slow burn romance really burns, and I can't wait to find out what happens next! Plot wise we covered a lot of ground here and I am excited to continue on in the next book!

Exciting and engrossing story. I really had a hard time putting my Kindle down but I had to sleep some time. Seriously good follow up book and it really kept the tension up.

Last book?

Perhaps it's my error, I though this was book 3 of 3. Not so.

I like Rivet's writing very much but I'm ready for a new story.
