Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.

When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.

During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.

Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.

She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..

She also writes under the name Mikela Q. Chase

I normally like this authors stories, they are my fun easy *mate-mine-growl* snack reads.
This one was disappointing, it starts with Rohan seeing and knowing Harris is his bond mate and then it skips weeks and Harris doesn't know that Rohan sees him as a bond mate but he does want to sleep with the sexy vamp.
There is no conflict, no difficulty, and really one clear conversation and all would have been good, as it was it was delivered piecemeal just to drag it out a little.
Then there is some intrigue and deceit and backstabbing among the coven and seriously Rohan was a pretty lame leader, I liked Harris's 'family' the best and the epilogue was the most interesting part of the story and I'm looking forward to that story.

The best part about this book was the epilogue I'm sad to say. The whole story seemed contrived and the MCs had no connection. Probably the big problem was Harris. His blasé attitude toward everything and no real passion for his mate killed it for me. There was no real getting to know each other or falling in love. They just said, "Hey, you're my mate." and that was that. No passion, no drive or growing feelings. Blah.

Now the epilogue was great! I'm really looking forward to Gallen and Aden's story. I was surprised the author chose Aden as his mate - pleasantly surprised.

At first I found the story a a bit boring but it picked up near the end. I was wondering what happened to Harris' fear of finally accepting Rohan. The issue wasn't mentioned again even after they went and confronted the

I'm so excited about the next book! Aden is just too awesome and I'm finding it hard to believe that he is just all human. Can't wait for Aden and Gallen's story. SQUEEEE.

Very nice and light fun, even if there were a few minor issues.

A strange way to begin this. It backtracks briefly for the prologue, but then we go to where the previous book ended, skipping over their first actual meeting and the developing of their relationship, &c. How very peculiar.

Timing once again is a bit… odd as well. Harris is avoiding Rohan for a few days after their first time together – but then said encounter happened “the night before”.

What also confuses me is that Rohan states he will only ever be able to drink from Harris again, will depend on him for nourishment. But when , Rohan is picturing the emptiness of his years ahead without Harris. Wouldn’t he starve?

But all that is evened out by the good.
One thing I really love about this is that the protagonists’ motivations largely make sense to me, even in the silly little things.
I also have fun with the dialogue. For some reason it never bores me and it’s not as predictable as in a lot of other books.

And then, ahahaha, the ending. OMG. Can’t stop laughing.
Damn, I wish I could read the next book right away! Publication date is apparently a week from now. I guess I should have waited for it before I picked the series back up. *starts counting the days*

It started promising and went down hill very quickly. I found it rather boring, with the exception of the epilogue which makes the next book appear really promising.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others, but not because I didn’t enjoy the characters. I really liked Rohan and Harris, I just didn’t get as much from them as a couple. I could see them as a couple, but didn’t feel like I got much of how they got there.

I knew it! Such a teaser! The book was good but the ending was great!

Sometimes you need a grand gesture to prove your love, and sometimes a bear hug will do.

Harris Bender had a crush on vampire leader Rohan, so when the alpha male requests him to paint a mural, he can only say yes. However, after a passionate encounter, Harris discovered Rohan is his mate. Is the carefree artist ready to settle down with one man even if he’s extremely hot?

Rohan had been looking for his blood bonded for centuries. One taste of the bear shifter’s blood and he knows he’s found the one. However, outside forces threaten to tear the couple apart. It will take more than a flash of fang to put them in their place.

To Bite A Bear was such a great, light read and a great installment to the Banded Brothers Series. It is just as exciting as the other three previous to this. For some reason, this is one series that just keeps getting better and better.

The romance between Harris and Rohan had been simmering in the background and it gives me a sense of relief to finally see they get their own HEA.

Okay, so this is a light read, but this is one of those times where I really appreciate the lightness of books. I love heavy and thick books, but there are really times where I just want to relax and let the words wash over me without getting anxious or getting over-emotional over some issues that may come up. The fact that I know this is going to get an HEA ending does not matter! I don't care that I know they will turn out happy, I just like to get the romance fix and go about my day with a smile on my face.

The ending was a real teaser though and I absolutely HATE Amber Kell for slowly killing me here with anticipation.

This is a must to read, but then again the whole series is a MUST READ so that is just kinda redundant to have to repeat myself.

Can't Wait for the next installment.

Well, I said that too when I read the first books.... again redundant.

**Grammar**

The plot is short and for the most part there is only sex.

Harris doesnt do relationships, his only "lovers" are his one night-stands. Rohan is a 500 years old vampire that finally after centuries and meaningless lovers has found his mate. The attraction btw the 2 is strong and soon ( i mean really soon, like after 2 minutes they meet) they find themselves in the other arms and having sex. This is the plot.....ok w8 there is something more...

Someone in Rohan's coven is trying to kill him and take his power also thanks to the sorcerers help (Gallen's father), like we saw in the last book, when the humans blood was poisoned. Like always a lot of things miss explanations and the bad guys are useless and stupid and easily killed. Well sure Rohan and Harris risk their lives....but the scene was boring and actually u already know all will go well.
Rohan is an old and powerful vampire, but sometimes it seemes an useless kitten and was absurd for him to be afraid of an human... come on...

The epilogue is the start of the 5th and last book. Didnt give 1 stars only bcs there isnt rape or non-con.

Bear shifter Harris Bender suspects his attraction to vampire leader Rohan is more than a mere passing fancy. Upon first sight, Rohan knew Harris was his blood bonded. However, the budding romance is interrupted when territorial greed, as well as betrayal, decides to surface in the vampire community yet again.

To Bite A Bear is the fourth book in the Banded Brothers series. Harris is a member of Carey Gale’s adoptive family. Of the four brothers, only Carey is human, the other three are shifters. Aside from playing in a band together, each brother has his own separate career; Harris is an artist, who also loves cooking for his family. Before meeting Rohan, Harris’s only passion was his painting. But, discovering Rohan is his mate, Harris has a difficult time controlling his bear’s protective nature side. Rohan is also protective plus very possessive regarding Harris.

Amber Kell has created another exciting as well as enjoyable romantic action episode to this series. The series is best read in sequence starting with the first book To Have a Human.

In this one I found Rohan's vamp character to be almost too arrogant and in need of a smack down. And Harris's almost wishy washy attitude toward his 'potential' mate kind of lacking. Plus Rohan didn't come across as a strong leader in his own right.

I don't know.. I guess I just didn't feel it between them. The action side of the story was good but romance side didn't do it for me all that much. Part of this could be lack of sex and sexual tension felt between them..

Alas...... the ending was to me the best part of the book.. By that I mean the Epilogue. Not only are we going to revisit misguided half sorcerer Gallen but apparently we will get to see top dog finally get his :)

It was an okay read. I don't feel there was anything in this book that really contributed to the development of the storyline. We already knew that the sorcerers or whatever was planning something and they do try something in this book. But it isn't too significant (or doesn't appear to be at the moment). Only Aden really makes an appearance and Eaton gets a little itsy bitsy scene, there's nothing updating readers about the progress of the other MC's relationships with their mates or any problem that may have cropped up with them.

Actually 3.5 stars.

I enjoy the brother stories, each one independent yet intertwined with the others. I truly like how they continue to look out for each other even as each finds a mate.

Ms. Kell's development of the romance between Harris and Rohan is what I would expect from two men who aren't about sharing their emotions. Neither one wanting to be the first to take things to the next level in fear of rejection, not wanting to admit to the other the true depth of their love. It's a nice 'ahhhhhh' type of love between the two. Very satisfying.

It was a good read to get you through the wait of finding another book. I liked Harris and Rohan but I don't feel like I really got to know them granted I didn't read the first books in this series.

There wasn't much depth to this story and we probably grazed the surface but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Such a cute fun series. I liked the earlier books more but I think that is just because the plots are getting repetitive.

This is a lighthearted and fluffy read that most would love to read for a nice relax :)

Harris has a crush on Rohan that develops into much more. Rohan tells him he is his blood bonded which sends Harris into a mini-panic until he accepts that it is the vampire match to the mate bond he feels for Rohan. Along the way they have to deal with traitors and long term vampire enemies.
