America One #3

The Odyssey Begins

Rate this book
Ryan Richmond has dreamed about going to space since the age of seven. Reading space updates—and seeing pictures of Neil Armstrong on the lunar surface in National Geographic—was the ignition of this dream.

At nineteen he sold his first company and employed the remnants of the Russian Space Program, three of the best space brains in the world.

In his twenties he founded and sold two more companies and hired the most outstanding scientists and engineers from the European Space Authority.

During his thirties, after selling his third company, he invested heavily in Internet start-ups, like Google, netting billions.

Then he patiently waited until NASA’s shuttle program came to an end and contracted the best brains in the U.S. Space program.

Now, Ryan Richmond is in his forties, and is going into space, whether anybody likes it or not!

The saga continues

I’m totally drawn into this series. Each book gets better and can’t wait to start book four. Politics and space exploration, what more could you want?

If you are a fan of this author's work, you must love detail and lots of it. This third book in the series is no exception.

Ryan Richmond and his crew of space adventurers start their journey into space after working for the government that held them back in Book 1 and Book 2. Same government, different leaders!

This book is rich in detail. For not being an astronaut, the level of detail is surprising. It is obvious that the author has a spacecraft in his garage or something because he is able to create a picture in my head of exactly what the craft looks like and how the characters interact in it.

Reader be warned, this is hard core science fiction and is not to be confused with a sci-fi space adventure. There is a surprise ending that I will not ruin but it is enough to know that the reader is left screaming, "Where is book 4?"

America one 3,the odyssey begins .

You dick, I Have read all these books so far and you havekept my steadfast interest, I knew when they landed on the asteroid and found the first holes that you were alluding to an upcoming find of an alien intelligence. But to finally get boots on the ground on Mars and the start of colonization, then completely yank the ground out from under my feet with such an abrupt Cliffhanger of an endind. No warning! No ,buildup? I could throttle you !, instead I'll have to buy book 5. I was so immersed in the story you completely caught me off guard, well done. I am an amateur scientist myself and your overall detailed, step by step plan of colonization and conquest is far better than anything NASA , or the PLANETARY SOCIETY has in my opinion come up with. BRAVO!!!

Enjoyable book for the most part. At times though it seemed to dwell on details that were tedious. I do appreciate the attention to detail & attempts to keep the science real. But, I'm not sure I need to know so much detail of every metal substance they find in every asteroid.
I do love the space adventure though. The harsh environment astronauts face & will face will be quite daunting. I'm hooked till the end.
The cliff hanger is tough to handle. Why? Lol

Don't know what to say, but good

Great job in getting a story to your readers. Some parts are very technical, but understood. Great research and continuing the story in a way that that the readers can understands.
