Ummm, well this was different. I went into this story knowing what to expect; but did I really? A femme domme and puppy play? Oh gawd. I guess this author can get me to read anything. 🤭

If you tell me there’s femdom in a book you best believe I’m reading it straight away. I was excited for this book anyway because I’ve been loving this authors work lately. She’s becoming a go to for smutty novellas and this was no different.

i wasn't ready for this but it wasn't bad.
Athena and Adam are the heroes of this short but lustful story. Athena provides sex services, fulfills the most secret dreams and fantasies of people and somehow she meets Adam on her way.
it was the first time I read a book where a woman dominated sex. and it became a good reading experience.
in fact, I would like to highlight the fact that despite the large number of sex scenes, they all turned out to be diverse. also the fact that this book of the genre of erotica gives readers the opportunity to take a little break from sex and see the everyday life of the characters.
even though I didn't feel any pleasure from Athena's dominance during the sex scenes, since I seem to be more of a male dominator, I enjoyed and very easily read this story.
so this story is perfect for easy reading with pleasure, to be able to rest and relax, without any extra thoughts.

The way both characters learned each other and themselves was beautiful. There were times I was laughing and others I wanted to go awe because of how well written they were.

I always love this kind of book because it's so rare to see a well-done dominant woman with an actual man who isn't effeminate or "weak". Athena was a well written sexually confident woman who, throughout her life, developed her reasons for being exactly who she was - true to herself and what she believed was best for her aka she hardened that pesky heart of hers and just enjoyed what life handed her. Adam was an untrained alpha-type man and blew her mind after one interaction. Their story was exciting and a bit thrilling to read- seeing them be almost fated in a way as they kept being forced to interact and acknowledge each other. I loved it. 5 stars for a short and spicy tale.

I'm not new to Author S.B. Hazel. I've read most of her books, so when "Collared" was brought to my attention, I knew I needed to read it. Why, you ask? S.B. Hazel has this way of writing about topics readers might have nervous curiosity about and making them into a story you can read without judgment because it's just you and your book.
Adam goes to an s3x club, believing his friends that the club is fake. He signs up for it and requests Athena with specific instructions. Adam is a dom in most settings, but he is in for a surprise with Athena. S.B. Hazel writes the fem-dom/puppy play scenes in full detail, along with the progression of their relationship, both physically and emotionally.
I did enjoy "Collared." Although it was a dual POV, it felt heavy on Adam's side and his experience.

We all know that I LOVE a good boy. I was here for the first half-ish of the book, but towards the end, I was just so ready for it to be done. There are only so many ways you can do the same scene over and over with NO plot. I saw some people complaining about certain scenes, but they're literally listed in the TW section. For what the book is, it's fine, I guess.

Another dirty and depraved book by SB Hazel. She has opened up my mind to many different taboo genres. This one was about Adam exploring his submissive side and Athena who is a sex worker.
I liked that he didn’t hide his desires or try to downplay them. They both went so well together, knowing what the other wanted.
I would’ve liked to know more about Athena’s past and how she got into the job and why her feelings about marriage are that way.

If you are looking for spice, this book has it! I give it 5+ stars for the spice alone! I held back on 5 stars overall only due to not enough character development. It is an insta-love, paid Dom/Sub relationship. From the very start to the end, these characters seem to communicate best or primarily through sex. They explored their kinks together, never feeling shame. I think that’s why I really liked it. I got to learn, read, understand that dynamic without feeling bad about it right along with them. I’ll definitely read more from this author and can’t wait to hear Noah find himself.
