Dr William C. Culbertson of Moody Bible Institute wrote 'The Child's Story Bible is the best summary of the Bible in story from anywhere available.' Especially recommended for seven to twelve year olds.
There were a couple of points where there were speculative comments inserted as assertions but for the most part it was a very accurate and well-done summary of the biblical narratives with lots of excellent observations woven through. Our children were both engaged and informed while listening to these being read.
Read through two: just as enjoyable as the first time.
2020. As with volume one, disappointed in this adaptation of the OT. It's not entirely her fault: the stories of the kings of Israel and Judah are tough material.
