Decent writing, but the storyline seemed to meander along without much forward movement in plot line. I was able to see snatches of the world the author was trying to create, but there wasn't enough definition to make it completely clear what the point was.

This is not the usual type of book that I read, but because I know the author, I wanted to read it. It ended up being a fairly intense and fun book to read. I really liked it.
