“You never have to ask, lovely. I’m here. Wherever you go and whenever you come back, I’m yours.”

The third installment was still as sweet as the two previous ones. Seeing Blake and Erin together really made my day brighter. My feelings were all over the place, in a good way though. About the plot, I would say that it wasn’t entirely riveting as I expected, yet their sweet romance and mind-blowing sex scenes had me glued to the pages the whole way through. Gosh, I love Blake! Love, love, love!

Despite the fact that I was in a spot of bother with the drama near the end of the story, generally, this book was very enjoyable and touching. Such a lovely read for me!

How many people wore the darkest part of them on their faces? What a different world it would be if we walked around with signs that proclaimed the worst thing that had happened to us.

At the beginning of the story Blake’s happiness is still poisoned by his scarred appearance. I expected more conversation, more effort from Erin to prove Blake she sees him attractive and desirable as he is.

It is so reassuring to see that by the end of the story he becomes more confident and sure in Erin’s feelings.

In this part of the Beauty serial Erin and Blake have to face a new problem. This problem soon becomes a threat, and I was amazed how imperatively Blake took care of it.

Blake’s tragic past is finally revealed, and it makes you love his character even more, and also feel more sympathy for him.
He was the calm and the storm all at once, both peaceful and tragic, both beautiful in their own way.

The writing is still exceptional, filled with beautiful thoughts. Erin and Blake’s unity is unquestionable and very sensual. A beautiful read!

My favorite quotes.

more on Blake and Erin! yes please [image error]

I loved Blake and Erin, their romance ignites in every page and I want more..its sensual, raw and felt. There are some problems arising because of their forbidden relationship but all's well that ends well with a steam!:)

Much better than book 2.
The intimate scenes are steamier and there is a better connection.
Still has problems.
Some repetitive thoughts. Most are overly dramatic.
Editing errors.
I really don't get Why his ex is behaving the way she is.
Lacks any connection on that part.

Another good, quick read for this series. The love making isn't repetitive and is quite spicy. :)

There was a quick moment of angst but it was resolved quickly. I liked how Erin realized that Blake was worth more. It was a sweet moment. I really like these two.

Rating: A ... Heat: Sizzling

In Broken Beauty, the third installment in the Beauty serial, things for Blake and Erin are getting complicated. More problems have started to arise because of Blake's new professor position—problems that are only making it harder for them to keep their relationship a secret. A secret that could ruin Blake’s reputation and endanger Erin’s Masters degree. Especially when someone starts poking their nose in Blake and Erin’s business.

In this installment, we get to know Erin and Blake on a much deeper level. We find out more of what led to Blake’s reclusion and how he got the scars on his face (and on his soul). And, as Blake and Erin grow into their relationship, a slightly more relaxed Blake... a Blake that's more commanding and dominating, starts to show. While still being the quiet gentleman we know and adore. And Erin is starting to set goals, see the future at the end of graduation, and she wants her Masters and Blake. I liked seeing this resolute side of her. She'll do what it takes to get the degree and get the guy.

I love Blake. He’s one of the sexiest professors I know, hands down. The man is… sweet and passionate and heartbreakingly sexy. He constantly amazes me with the tender and rough ways he shows Erin he loves her. And when things get complicated, he’s right there protecting her and showing her that the past doesn’t always set the precedent. Erin is one lucky gal.

Skye Warren is such a talented storyteller. I love the way she infuses emotion and eroticism together. Skye engages the heart and the loins every time she writes—and it’s a powerful combination. I’m anxiously awaiting Beauty Becomes You, though I’m not looking forward to saying goodbye to Blake and Erin.

4.5 out of 5 Stars; So far out of all the book in the series, Broken Beauty has been my favorite. It gets better and better. It seemed steamer and the scenes where Blake was lecturing, I could see myself getting a crush on him if he was my professor.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t let you go. You’re mine now, God help you.”

Do I feel connected to the characters? Yes, I want to know what is going to happen. Blake could not be more faithful to Erin, but they have been hiding their relations except for a few people which brings them a lot of stress. I want their relationship out and them interacting with the real world. Erin struggles financially and at first it upset me that Blake was not helping, but I get my answer in this book about that issue I had with him.
Pace of the story: Very good.

“I’ll never leave you”

Positives: The writing. The characters. I love a good professor/student romance. I love how protective Blake is of Erin. Even though as first, I had a hard time believing that he did not know about how hard it for her to support herself. However, Erin is not the type of person who wants hands out. I love that ex keeps popping up. I love that type of drama.

“I love you, Erin. I’m not sure it’s enough. In fact, I know I’s not, but I can’t keep myself away fro you. It is nothing to do with the fact that you’re the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.”

Negatives: I wish the part that had them conflicted would have lasted a little bit longer. Even though they are having to deal with hiding their relationship and other challenges, I think that it was resolved too quickly. I think the things that Erin’s mom said held true.

Do I recommend? Yes. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

“Stay with me.” A press of his lips to hers. “Wrapped up si tight I never have to worry that I’ll wake up and you won’t be there.”

Book Format Read: A copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

... and the story continues...

Here we have the difficulties with Erin's graduation that clashes with the necessity to keep secret their relationship.

Good as I was expecting! :D

I was provided a copy of the series by the author for an honest review.

This series was a different spin and retelling of Beauty and the Beast but in a sexy way. And though I enjoyed some parts of the story, there were other parts that I thought could have been developed better.

I enjoy the teacher/student relationship - the taboo of it and the fear of getting caught - its exciting! I thought that the writing was pretty good and as this was my first experience reading this author I would definitely read future works.

I enjoyed the characters more as I got into the 4th book - Beauty Becomes You.

I definitely thought that the characters could have been better developed. A lot of their relationship was based on sex, which don't get me wrong, was totally HOT but I would have loved more story about them. I probably would have connected more to them if this was the case and not felt so removed. And though I feel that relationships can happen no matter the age, there were times that I felt that Blake was almost too old for her - too dominant.

Overall at the conclusion of the series, I did like them as a character as I could see that Erin healed Blake but I felt that the story had so much potential that the author missed the opportunity in taking.

Again, the writing was great and I would definitely read this author again.

Love both Erin and Blake. Just wish each installment was longer as they're quite short and they're a terrific couple. The series is a good solid read; not to mention it's quite evident there's a lot of chemistry between them, and that they love each other. I just didn't find the story as a whole to be suspenseful; more predictable as it didn't leave me guessing as to what may happen next. I think this is due to the fact that every time an issue arose between them, it was quickly dissolved, and I mean very quickly. Plus again, each installment is very short.

These two have sex quite often. Actually they have sex a lot and I don't mean having sex each night. I'm talking many, many times over throughout the entire day. I'm surprised Erin can find time to study, go to class and hold down a job. Okay, I'm envious. Sue me. If it were me I'm sure I'd be grinning like an idiot and unable to walk. (Sorry, back to the book.) The series is considered erotica, but if you're looking for hardcore, I think you'll be disappointed as I consider it more "mild-erotica". Regardless of all the sex they have, I found it to be quite repetitive in each novella, to the point it became quite boring and I found myself skimming thru the scenes quickly. In the end, a series still worth reading.

Blake and Erin move closer while balancing keeping their relationship secret but when Blake’s past returns and threatens to ruin everything – hard choices have to be made and they might just lose everything.

We’ve gotten a few books of just really Erin and Blake and for the first time we are able to see what turbulence the outside world causes. We also catch a few glimpses into the life that Blake had before his injury and we get to see the full impact of Erin’s insecurity. But what we also get is the steadfast loyalty that we knew a man like Blake Morris had.

I am really loving this series and watching Blake grow in confidence. I love we get the instant lust but with the development of such a damaged character, the pace is perfect – it’s slow to unfold and just makes you crave it that much more.

This was the third novella in the Beauty series. While each book does seem to getting a little longer than the last, they are still pretty short.

I highly recommend reading the first two books, Beauty Touched the Beast and Beneath the Beauty before reading this one.
It picks up right where book two ends.

Again it’s full of mis-understanding and hurt feels from both Blake and Erin. The bedroom scenes were sizzling hot.

But as with the first two books, we are once again left with a cliffhanger. I am just wait till all the books in this series are released before reading anymore. I hate being left hanging on the side of a mountain.

Broken Beauty is the sequel to Beneath the Beauty and the third installment of Skye Warren's The Beauty serial. I love this "Beauty and the Beast" story that Skye Warren has crafted. She puts a twist to this classic tale that makes it different and deliciously erotic. Warren just has a beautiful way with words. She captivates you with her writing and her storytelling draws you in like a moth to a flame. I am just in love with her writing style which makes her stories impossible to put down.

Erin and Blake has had a secret relationship for a while. Blake has just accepted the position to teach at the University and Erin is in her last semester of graduate school. Life is good...until Erin finds out that Blake, or in this case, Dr. Blake Morris will be her professor for her last course. This troubling revelation soon threatens the newfound bliss they've just found and puts Blake's newfound career in jeopardy and Erin's impending graduation at risk.

Broken Beauty is so sweet, so tender and so full of passion. I love Erin and Blake as individuals and together, they're just completely amazing. I love Erin for her strength and independence and of course her love for Blake. While others may stare and whisper about the "beast," she sees him as nothing other than beautiful. As for Blake, he is utterly a loveable hero. I love that while Blake may not look the part of "prince charming" he's still the perfect match for his beauty, Erin, in every way. He oozes charm, is incredibly sweet & super sexy. I love his tender admiration towards Erin and the intense love that he has for her.

The passion is in full force between Erin and Blake and they have chemistry in spades. This is a couple that despite the age difference, wealth status, and the frowning disapproval of society, is definitely meant to be together. There are many sweet and tender moments between Erin and Blake that I love. Blake just makes me melt with his actions and words...and the things he does in bed (and out of it). Whew! Which brings to me to point out that there are several sensually erotic love scenes in this story that will leave you breathless!

 photo tumblr_mfuyo3qJNv1rcfyiso5_500_zps2323a6c7.gif

Warren certainly knows how to get your temperature rising, your heart racing, and reaching for that cold glass of water ;)

With the troubling revelation mentioned above, this kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to see how it will play out for Erin and Blake. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what will happen next. Furthermore, I love how each installment has a beginning, middle, and end. They're not stand alone reads, yet each installment feels almost complete on its own and each story is not left with a deadly cliffhanger where you'd want to throw your ereader across the room due to frustration. (Thank you Skye Warren!) Each installment is satisfying, yet it still leaves you craving for more.

Sweet, poignant and sinfully erotic Broken Beauty is a fantastic addition to the Beauty serial. I love this serial so far and am eagerly looking forward to the conclusion of Blake and Erin's story in Beauty Becomes You. Don't miss the first two installments Beauty Touched the Beast & Beneath the Beauty. You do not want to miss out on this fabulous serial!

Memorable Scene/Moment:

"Come on, let me hear you lecture."

"No way. I can make a fool of myself in front of a bunch of strangers. I don't have to do it in front of my girlfriend."

She couldn't help it. She grinned, sudden and wide.

He cocked his head. "What is it? Morning breath? You should have told me."

She rolled her eyes. "No, you called me your girlfriend."

"What else should I call you?"

"Hmm. Your fuck buddy?"

He frowned. "My lover."

"Your maid."

His hand clasped hers. He rested his forehead against hers. "My everything."

Erin and Blake are back in their blissful bubble, the university is none the wiser about their relationship, and Blake is finally getting his first class. Just when everything seems perfect, they run into an obstacle that could jeopardize either one of their futures. And this is where the beauty of the author's storytelling comes into full effect.

Erin and Blake have really grown on me, both as a couple and as individuals. Erin has moments when she's fiercely determined to protect Blake at all costs and give him a chance at a career, even if it means setting hers aside for a while or giving up the man she loves for the indefinite future. But on the other hand, she can't forget the sacrifices she and her mother have made to give her the opportunity at a higher education. And that is kind of the crux of the problem, isn't it? When love finds you in the wrong place at the wrong time, is one or the other worth giving up because society or common sense dictates it, or were the Beatles right and all you need is love? Be selfish or selfless?

I love how this mismatched couple navigates the uncertainties and dangers of their type of relationship, but above all else, I love that Blake is able to sense when manipulation is underfoot and snuffs it out before it gets out of hand. My heart clenched when they were both prepared to make painful sacrifices for the bigger picture. Whether or not they went through with it, you'll have to read and find out. The love scenes continue to be filled with raw passion, vulnerability and a coming together of two beautiful souls; you can't help but root for them.

Skye Warren continues to captivate with her prose that always manages to evoke a gamut of emotions ranging from intense lust to nail biting nervousness. I can not wait for the final installment.

Favorite Lines:

"You know the answer to that, Erin. You're mine forever, whether I touch you in three minutes or three weeks or three years."

~*~
"All these questions, this civil unrest," he murmured against her neck. His lips skated over her collarbone, igniting nerves all over her body.

She shivered. "Maybe I'll have a rebellion."

"Ah, but you already rule me. Anything else is just a game we play."

This is the third (obviously) installment in Skye Warren’s Beauty serial. Check out my reviews for Beauty Touched the Beast (Beauty #1) & Beneath the Beauty (Beauty #2). This serial should be read in order, these are not meant to be stand alone titles.

As I said in my review of Beneath the Beauty, I think that this series gets better with each installment. Broken Beauty kept me rapt in attention from the beginning until the very end.

Erin shows real maturity and perseverance in the face of some unpleasant events and revelations. It’s Erin’s turn to struggle with her own insecurities here, in this part of the serial. There were a few really emotional moments in this story. I’ll admit to needing some tissues, though I tried to hide it when it was happening. When my husband asked me what in the world I was sniffling about, I said it was allergies. I’m pretty sure he didn’t believe me.

Skye made me very angsty and, considering the length of the book, that’s an accomplishment. There was a little bit of everything here, actually – angst, stress, tears, and some seriously hot sex, some sweetness too.

I love Blake. His evolution from the broken warrior, hermit-like in his avoidance of life, to healing and growing bolder and more secure in his role now that he’s, once again, joined the living. His role in society and in Erin’s life as well.

I would highly recommend it and suggest that you read the finale – Beauty Becomes You.

Once again, a lovely read! I very much enjoyed the third installment to the series as much as the 2nd one!(: While it was a bit longer than the second one, I still wish that each book in the series was 300+ pages instead of around 100. Nonetheless, the story flows pretty well for a somewhat short story. Aside from that, I was content with this book, especially the steamy sex scenes(; Can't wait to read the final book!
