It’s winter in Oberon—dark, rainy and cold—a good time to stay inside, to stay warm and dry by the fire, to stay safe. For some of the residents of the quirky, little California coast town, however, it’s also the perfect time for casting spells, for interfering in each other’s lives...and for falling in love.
As winter drags interminably on, Ryan Henderson is growing desperate for distraction—anything that might take his mind off the injury that he suffered, four months earlier, in the line of duty; and which is now threatening to sideline him permanently.
Siobhan Quinn could give the injured officer a lesson or two in living with pain. In the ten years that have passed since the tragic accident that robbed her of her family, she’s learned firsthand how grief can cripple a soul and drive a sane mind over the edge.
Sometimes it seems like Spring will never come again. Sometimes, the only alternative to living in inner darkness, is death. Your own, or someone else's.
USA Today Bestselling Author PG Forte inhabits a world only slightly less strange than the ones she creates. Filled with serendipity, coincidence, love at first sight and dreams come true. Originally a Jersey girl, and forever a California girl at heart, PG currently resides in the beautiful Texas Hill Country where she continues to write contemporary and paranormal romance in a variety of sub-genres. The common thread linking them together? Her stories are always centered around themes of friendship, family, and heartfelt feelings.
Sound of A Voice That Is Still is the 3rd book in P.G. Forte's Oberon Series. It's focus is predominantly focused on Siobhan (Marsha's sister) and Ryan (Nick's coworker on the force). As with A Sight To Dream Of (Book 2) P.G. is able to craft a story focused on two characters will still interweaving the lives of the rest of Oberon into the story. Siobhan has lead a troubled and lonely life for the past 10 years since her husband and twin girls died in a accident, that she blames herself for. Ryan was shot while trying to save Marsha and has yet to recover from his injury. While their first meeting after the disastrous clean up project didn't leave fuzzy feelings with Siobhan she fails to realize that Ryan is the same police officer that made that day even harder on her. Ryan is on medical leave from the force and decides after a marine science lesson he wants to be close to Siobhan and volunteers at her Nature Center.
Along with Siobhan and Ryan this book, follows Scout and her pregnancy with her and Nick's first child and Dan becoming more and more distant with Lucy. Sam and Marsha are also considering their future more and more.
Another fantastic and suspenseful book in The Oberon Series that I addicted to.
