For baseball superstar Garrett Donovan, his contract with the New York Empire baseball team meant he’d finally have the means to secure a future for his family. He should focus on that…not on the sassy, beautiful Jessa Montgomery — or what she looks like naked. Getting involved with the daughter of the Empire’s owner would be career suicide. Jessa is a distraction he can’t afford.

Her father had warned her never to get involved with his athletes, so his request that she keep an eye on his new star player came straight out of left field. The last thing Jessa needs is another spoiled, egotistical ball player to deal with. But Garrett is none of those things. His no-nonsense attitude and smooth Southern charm make her blood burn and her knees weak. Giving into temptation, she is consumed by the pleasure she finds in Garrett’s arms.

Jessa wants to protect his career. Garrett won’t let anything get in the way of their passion.

A passion that could cost him everything.

Hawt! Rookie Major League Ballplayer, team owner's daughter who has been told to keep away from his players = a great start to a lighthearted steamy romance.

**Book given to me by the author for an honest review**
My Thoughts:

This is the second book that Parker Kincade has written that I absolutely loved. She has the talent to create interesting characters and make them fully believable. She also has a way of taking a "same ole, same ole" theme and turning it into something fresh and endearing.

The hero of this novel is Garrett (my new bookboyfriend btw) is a down home Mississippi boy who works hard and holds his family responsibility as the most important thing in his life. Baseball for him was a means to an end and anything he was going to try he was going to be successful because he puts his heart and soul into everything he does. I really loved that Parker stepped out of the box and male Garrett a good natured, well raised, down home boy with no pretensions and not a skirt chaser. It was refreshing to meet a character who actually could be someone who lived nexted door. He was sympathetic and well rounded. I dare a reader not to fall in love with him. Jessa our heroine is a bit of a different story and most of the angst came from her, for Jessa this is almost a coming of age story. She lived a pretty sheltered life being raised by her single Dad who was consumed by baseball and his team. Raised around baseball her whole life she was not comfortable actually socializing with them but preferred to stay in the background. Put into a situation that she had not encountered before she behaved much like a duck out of water. Again a very sympathetic and down to earth character.

As much as the story is character driven the plot was all about the developing relationship between our two main characters. This was in no way a technical sports book and had next to no baseball actually in it. This as someone who doesn't really follow sports unless it is to check out a hot guy in uniform was refreshing in a sports oriented story.

If you are looking for a lovely light hearted read to take to the beach this summer tuck this one in your bag it is perfect for a sunny day on the beach or a rainy day sipping Bellinis.

A solid 4 star read for me and a solid reccomendation. Can't wait to read more stories in this series. Parker needs to write faster *grin*

VERY GOOD: The characteristics of a 4 star book include: a great story; I loved the characters; and there was an interesting plot and unique story elements; there may have been a few odd things kept the story from being amazing. I would read it again and I would recommend it to a friend.

My Thoughts:
This book was provided by the author for an honest review.

Let me begin my review by saying that I was pleasantly surprised while reading this story. I have read a few "sports" romances that were a bit on the dull and technical side. Technical + romance = DNF for me. I think that authors struggle with making the story authentic so they fill it with a lot of sports-related jargon that I frankly have no interest in.

Well, Ms. Kincade did not disappoint with this sexy sports tale. The story was witty and fresh and most importantly, for me, not boring at all. Oh, quite the contrary. This story was very sexy! I had to stop and fan my face a couple of times. It was not heavily laden with sports talk but focused more on the romance between the male and female protagonist. Yay! Win!

I absolutely loved Jessa and Garrett. Jessa was sassy and Garrett was tempting and their passion burned bright and fast in a way that was completely palatable to the reader.

Jessa Montgomery was the daughter of TJ Montgomery, owner of the New York Empire baseball team. As a child with a deceased mother, Jessa became her father's shadow and lived, slept, and ate baseball. As an adult, she worked for her father behind the scenes ensuring that this team functioned like clockwork -- almost secreting herself from the world in the process.

After recruiting a rookie player with a significant high-dollar value, TJ asked Jessa to shadow him to make sure that he stayed out of trouble during spring training. Little did Jessa know that that one mandate from her father would change her life forever. Garrett Donovan was a sexy as sin baseball player who instantly set Jessa on fire with his gaze. Jessa is shocked by her utterly visceral reaction to the man. But, egos, on both sides, get in the way and their first meeting ends in a verbal sparring match. Can you say foreplay? ... LOL. Problem: Jessa's father has instilled in her that she should never get involved with any of this players. Well, she tried...she really did try........for like a whole two seconds. However, lust and desire became all consuming between Jessa and Garrett and love grows out of passion that was never meant to be.

Ms. Kincade did a magnificent job delivering a story that was full of sweet and sexy moments...a lot of sexy moments. Romance enthusiasts will absolutely enjoy this story. But fair warning, keep a fan and a cool drink of water handy. This one is a scorcher.

Parker Kincade's Spring Training is a terrific read just in time for summer. The hero and heroine are likeable and the story has a more than satisfying HEA ending. Oh and the sex is hot, too.

Garrett Donovan is a rookie baseball player for the NY Empire team.Jessa Montgomery is the daughter of the team's owner.

When asked by her dad to "babysit" the team's newest superstar during spring training, Jessa expects to meet a spoiled, stuck on himself, womanizer. She's quite shocked when her preconceptions all turn out to be wrong and finds herself attracted to the hunky Garrett who sees his baseball career as something to help him keep the family farm.

When Garrett makes it clear he returns the attraction, then the game is on. And the sex is the best either of them has ever had.

Garrett wants more than just a fling during spring training. But Jessa is afraid that if her father finds out that Garrett made love to her, he would fire Garrett, jeopardizing his career and most importantly the money he needs to help out his mother and sister back in Mississippi.

I won't go into more since it would be a spoiler, but will say that Ms. Kincade's plot was spot on perfect. I had already put her on my must-read list after her Martin family book, One Night Stand; Spring Training has cemented her as a must-buy author for me. Now, I'm waiting for the next book in two of her series.

A hot rookie professional baseball player mixes it up with the owner of the team's daughter. They play hide-and-seek from the press, team, and her father as they share some sizzling days and nights. Of course, there's always a secret twist to the story and this couple just got caught in their own web.

Easy read with a cute story starring two really likable characters. Nothing extraordinary or unusual -- just a fun day at the ballpark!

This book was part of a blog tour I was given a copy for my honest review.

Jessa has practically grown up on the baseball field; her father owns the New York Empires and has taught her everything she needs to know. Her father has a strict role of her not dating any of the players, so when he sends her to baby-sit his newest "golden boy" she expects to meet a spoiled, rich boy who she will constantly have to do damage control for. Instead she meets Garrett, Garrett is happy to finally be able to stop worrying and take care of his family and their future. Once he meets Jessa he wants her and while the two of them don't want to risk his career, they may find out that the passion that burns hot between them is more important than anything else. This book was good; the chemistry between the two main characters was off the charts hot. Jessa is a bit of a tomboy and I liked that, she has some insecurities from being the only child with no mom and thinking her father wished she was a boy I thought that was realistic and played into the conflict that happens latter in the book. Garrett is not the ladies’ man that people think he is he is a sweet man who is trying to do right by his family. I loved him, he had the most to lose and yet he really pushed for more knowing it could ruin him. The love scenes between the two of them were hot and plentiful about halfway through the book I started to get a bit bored with the book because as good as those scenes were, I wanted more. The author gave me the more that I needed not long after I started getting restless, the pace of the book picked up a bit and I was once again rooting for this couple to make it. Overall Spring Training is a good light read with plenty of spice and a group of adorable characters.

My Review:
*sigh* I just love sports books and this one was a good one.

Garrett is just starting out with his baseball career and is participating in his first Spring Training.

For the first time in her life, Jessa's father, the owner of the team, has instructed her to engage with a player. Garrett is her father's new golden boy...with tons of promise. The problem is that it's always been Jessa and her father...she's always wondered if he wished she was actually a boy and now he has Garrett, the male he wanted. So there are feelings that Jessa is dealing with there.

Added to that is the fact that it's REALLY not a good idea for Garrett's career to get involved with the owner's daughter, but they can't resist each other. And whoa, this book is HOT! From the very beginning of the book these two sizzle off the page....and there is a LOT of sizzling going on. This book fed everything for me. It was really hot and sexy, but I loved the two characters too... and their story.

The back story for both these characters and their families was great. I loved Garrett's loyalty to his family and supporting all the women that need him. On the opposite side of that was Jessa and her dad who are alone in this world.

It's not a really long book was exactly what I needed for a distraction on this hot, summer day. This is my idea of summer....READING about a hot, sexy baseball player. I think it sounds like a great new tradition.

Garret just got the job that will let him care for his family. Jessa, the boss’ daughter, has been sent to spring training to keep an eye on the newest team star. Their attraction is instant but a bit difficult to manage because Jessa doesn’t play with the players. They are very sexy together but Jessa has been warned not to mess with his father’s team players. And Garret has to be careful not to ruin his chances. I really liked Garret, commanding and so caring, also family oriented. Jessa has her insecurities but she blossoms with him. Very enjoyable read!

3 stars.

I love stories featuring sports-centric romances, and Spring Training by Parker Kincade was pretty good. Jessa Montgomery's father owns the New York Empires baseball team and sends her to "look after" his new star player, Garrett Donovan. Working at her father's company for as long as she can remember and totally loving baseball, she's used to being a tomboy and isn't looking for a relationship, making the fact that her father has forbidden her from ever hooking up with one of his players a-okay with her. All of that changes the first time she lays eyes on Garrett:
Tall and lean, with muscles that strained his practice uniform, Garrett Donovan was gorgeous. Sandy blond curls met the back of his collar, the mass of hair she'd seen in photos contained by the cap on his head. Crystal blue eyes gleamed against tanned skin as his lips turned up into the sexiest grin Jessa had ever witnessed.

Their connection is instantaneous and despite the fact that his job could be in jeopardy and his reputation ruined if they're found out, they find it hard to stay away from each other. They get off to a rocky start.
"Now, you're about to give me all the reasons why last night was a mistake. You'll rationalize, throw my job and your father at me. Then, you'll tell me it can't ever happen again. I'd be surprised if you didn't try to give me the 'let's be friends' bit. I get it. Hell, I'll probably even agree with you." His eyes turned dark, his voice strained. "And then you'll expect me to forget how you burned in my arms and that I'm so hard for you right now I can't see straight. So, yeah, Jessa, I'm a little fuckin' testy."

I really liked these two, especially Garrett. He says some pretty hot things:
"You taste so sweet, so warm and inviting. I could spend all night kissing you, Jess. Your lips are so full and pretty. Red and swollen from my kisses. Do you have any idea what that does to me? Damn, I can't wait to see those lips wrapped around my cock."

and...
"Climb on, princess. Ride me. Take us where we need to go."

and...
"Suck it, baby. Take me in that hot little mouth."

For as many things that he said that I thought was hot, there were a lot of words that she used that I really didn't like, which made me rate this one less. Words like: vagina, pulsating pussy, cream flowing from her body, weeping (as in, her pussy--ew!), pumping womb, and the dreaded m-word. It just pulled me out of the story, to be honest.

After spending several days (and nights) together, they realize that they have real feelings for each other, but neither of them knows how to work it out. They get plenty of warnings from their friends, including Tyler, another ball player that Garrett went to college with.

Things take a bit of a dramatic turn toward the end, but I really didn't get it. Another thing that I don't love is all of the Twilight references. She smells like strawberries, the characters' names, one of them swears on all that is holy, and then there's this:
"What are you? Some kind of adrenaline junkie?"

LOL.

Still, I thought it was hot and I liked it. Though I didn't think that the problem they had actually made sense and the "big reveal" felt pretty anti-climactic, I liked this story, the characters, and their chemistry, and I loved the way it ended. I'll be giving Parker Kincade's other books a try, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series, especially if it's about Tyler.

Jessa Montgomery is the daughter of the owner of the New York Empire baseball team. She has spent the biggest part of her life on the field and her knowledge of baseball and stats rival that of the best of them. Currently she works for her father in New York. He's always told her to stay away from the players and has forbidden her to get involved, which kind of confuses her when he asks her to go to Tampa for 2 weeks to babysit their newest addition to the team, "Golden Boy Garrett Donovan." What Jessa didn't expect was to be so attracted to him. Though she has pegged him for a spoiled rich boy, Garrett is anything but that, a fact she soon finds out. Garrett is hot, has that southern charm and smile, is very dominant, and isn't afraid to go head-to-head with Jessa about anything. What did throw Garrett for a loop is how attracted he was to Jessa, even though everyone knows you don't mess with the owner's daughter. Try as they may they can't stay away from each other and a hot romance ensues, but even though Garrett is her father's favorite new rookie, will he be left unscathed and still have a job if word of their romance gets out, and what will happen to Jessa in the fallout of it all?

I love sports themed romances, so when I read the synopsis, I was immediately drawn to this book. The premise for the story is great and I did enjoy it. I liked both Jessa and Garrett's characters, especially Garrett. The romance/sex was hot and steamy, and is definitely not something for those under 18. While the romance was hot, it was the primary focus of the book for about the first two-thirds, and though the book is a light read, it got kind of redundant and I became a little bored at that point, wanting more angst and actual baseball-centered aspects of the story. About two-thirds in though, that part of the story picked up and became much more interesting, which I was glad about, as Garrett and Jessa dealt not only with the professional aspect of their relationship, but Jessa also had to deal with some issues with her father that had shaped the way she thought of herself, and both of them had to come to terms with the way they felt about each other and what that meant in the long run. I enjoyed the interaction with the secondary characters in the book, especially Garrett's friend and teammate Tyler. I was pleased with the way the story ended also. Spring Training was a light read that I enjoyed, especially once the story line picked up in the latter portion of the book, adding that much needing aspect that kept your interest and made the book about more than just repeated sexual encounters, and I was glad I kept reading until I got to that point It is very hot and steamy and very adult, and is inappropriate for younger readers, but if you enjoy that type of story, then Spring Training would be a great beach or weekend read.

When Garrett Donovan landed a contract with the New York Empire baseball team - it was not just a dream come true but it’s a means of security for the future of the family he left in Mississippi. Being the only male left in the family, their future is his burden to bear. He didn’t have time to date, get drunk, and have sex. He focused himself on practices and playing on the field – until the beautiful Jessa Montgomery decided to grace their Spring Training. She’s sexy, hot, love the game and fun to be with – totally lethal combination for him. He knew he should not get involve with her. He was just going to get himself into trouble.

Being the only child and daughter of the Empire’s owner was not a piece of cake for Jessa Montgomery. At a young age, instead of having parties and dating boys, she spent it with her father on the stadium learning about baseball. Although she spent her days with a lot of men, her father had warned her to never get involved with his players. So when he requested her to babysit his new star player, she was surprised. It was a waste of her time for her to guard another spoiled, egotistical ball player when she has a lot on her plate. But Garrett proved to be different: he’s a responsible guy who’s sexy as hell, cares about his family and is great in bed. Jessa knew being with her would cause him trouble, she wants nothing but protect his career for the people he loved the most. Garret, on the other hand, wants Jessa – whatever it takes, even if it would cost him his career.

Their relationship was a whirlwind, roller-coaster affair that is set to crash once her father or anyone knew what they were doing. BUT!!! I adore the two characters – Garrett for being a responsible son and someone who was willing to fight and take the risk for love and Jessa for trying to do what she thought was best for Garrett. I just knew what her father was up to – it wasn’t nice; nevertheless, they found each other.

Spring Training is a short read. Although their relationship had my head aches because of the constant on-off status (they couldn’t seem to decide if what they were doing is right or not), I finished it in one sitting and I was craving for more baseball hottie! If you want to read something light, short, sweet and steamy, with hot baseball players and forbidden romance – Spring Training might be the right one for you!

Jessa Montgomery knows baseball; her father owns the NY Empire baseball Team. So when he asks her to keep any eye on his newest star player to make sure he stays out of trouble she is a little shocked as her father has always had one strict rule stay away from his players. When Jessa meets this star player she soon discover that he is not the spoil, cocky ladies man that she was expecting, far from it.

Garrett Donovan is that star player, he is a good guy, a sweetheart with good family values, he loves baseball, and his main reason for playing is so that he can support his family. Falling for his boss’s daughter would not be a good idea and could put his career in jeopardy.

After their first meeting, and spending time together, Jessa knows she is attracted to Garret as he is to her their sexual chemistry is undeniable. Jessa tries to stay away to protect Garrett career, but Garret doesn’t care he wants to be with Jessa, and even they know the risk these two can’t stay away from each other.

‘You turn me inside out. One look and I’m ready for you, my nipples get hard thinking about you” ~ Jessa

“You're mine, Jessa. I’m not going anywhere. Unless it’s to find a more appropriate place to get you naked." ~ Garrett

Jessa and Garrets are likeable characters, Jessa is a bit of a tomboy, and having been brought up by her single father she has a few insecurities as she has always felt that her father wanted a boy. Garrett is from Mississippi and has that southern charm thing going on, so I was a fan from the start.

I enjoyed the storyline it was fun, has a few twists, a little drama, I will tell you there isn’t too much about baseball as it all about Jessa and Garratt’s relationship, and WOW was that hot, and in talking about off the wall smoking hot!! I love my smut, and Parker Kincaid knows how to write good smut, there are lots of them, so I wasn’t disappointed. I was actually surprised as I wasn’t expecting it at all when I started reading it, and after the first few chapters I was fanning myself, all I can tell you is that Garrett Donovan knows how to make a girl happy. ;)

So if you are looking for quick, enjoyable light read that is very high on the steam, then this book is for you. I was hooked from the start, and I couldn’t put it down. I have a feeling that after reading this book in going to enjoy reading Parker Kincaid next book in the series.

Spring Training gets 4 stars from me.

I received this Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for my honest review.

Though I am not a huge sports fan, this was a great read. The character and storyline are wonderful and well developed and their chemistry is off the charts. Both Jessa and Garrett have misconceptions going into their relationship and Jessa has a lot of resentment towards her father and jealousy of the attention he gives Garrett, resulting in several misunderstandings and fights. The author makes the conflicts and resolutions so real, it is easy to see them playing out before you. This book was definitely a fun read.

Jessa Montgomery is the 24 year old, sheltered daughter of the owner of the New York Empire baseball team. She is focused, driven and responsible when it comes to her work but in real life she is shy, insecure and self-conscious. She is not good with people or relationships, always wondering if people are being nice to her because of her wealth or who her father is and is more comfortable behind the scene working on the administrative aspects of the team versus dealing head on with the players. She cannot help but be leery of the situation and cautious as to why her father wants her to babysit the new rookie star player; when she has never been asked to interact before. The last thing she wants to do is follow around her father’s new golden boy and is jealous and resentful that he asked this of her. Reluctantly she agrees thinking she has his type pegged; however, as soon as she meets him she realizes there is more to him than meets the eye.

Garrett Donovan is thrilled to have made the big leagues. All he wants to do is focus on the game, do the best he can and secure a future for his family; his mother and sister with her new baby. He is grateful to the team’s owner, Mr. Montgomery, for taking him under his wing and giving him a chance to play. Aware of the fact the owner is assigning him a babysitter, his daughter Jessa, for the 2 week duration of training he is not prepared for the instant attraction or chemistry the two have when they meet. Worse yet, being the owner’s daughter she is total hands off. But with their instant, off the charts chemistry can they keep things professional or will he risk his livelihood and career to make her his? When it comes down to the final decision, will they try to make it work or cut their losses and go their separate ways when the season starts?

Spring Training was such a refreshing read for me because I love Baseball. I love to go to games and listen to all the noise and eating all the great foods and watching the kids enjoy themselves. Parker Kincade gave us such descriptive pictures of what was going on and how the players were I was thrown into this story and could not put it down so much so I had to buy the paperback to keep on my must re-read book shelf.

In Spring Training we get to meet Garrett Donovan and Jessa Montgomery. Gar as I call him is so loving and fun and such a southern gentleman. He has come to New York to be a part of the New York Empire Baseball Team. He is so excited to finally have a chance to play pro ball and be able to take care of his family. He is content in knowing his family will not want for anything. But Gar gets a curve ball when he comes face to face with the owners daughter Jessa.

Jessa is sassy and gorgeous and a no none sense girl who is kinda tomboyish because she is the only child of the empire teams owner. But Jessa is surprised by her fathers request that she watch one of the team players. Her first thought and I laughed so hard I was crying was that he was a spoiled athlete used to getting whatever he wanted when he wanted it and she thought oh hell she will have to keep him out of trouble. But when she meets Gar she is taken aback by his sincerity and genuine niceness that she has not seen the likes of.

Soon these two are spending time together and trying to fight off the feelings for one another but it does not work. Gar wants Jessa badly and Jessa wants Gar but she does not want to ruin his career in the process so she tries to stay away but Gar says no he wants her and he is willing to sacrifice everything to be with her. This is such a fun loving story that captivated me and I wanted more. I will re-read this story soon when I am having a bad day because it totally brightened up my day!

I love romance books that involve professional athletes.

Jessa is asked by her father, the team’s owner, to babysit Garrett, the team’s new player. . Jessa has a problem with following her father’s orders since she is very content with just seeking out the talent by knowing their averages and RBIs and not having any personal contact with any of them. Through the years she has seen how these baseball players go through women and has plans of being one of those girls. However, the minute she meets Garrett, there is a spark; a spark that as she gets to know him is harder and harder to ignore.

Garrett is one of the most talented and promising baseball players in the league, but he does not have an ego that has him looking like a tool. He is kind and caring and you cannot help but fall in love with him. Even though he loves to play baseball, he is playing the game to support his mom and widowed sister. I really liked Garrett’s character. That is why sometimes, I found Jessa’s attitude frustrating. The first time, Garrett and Jessa met, she gave him attitude, but I understood why her defenses were up. She had to deal with egotistical ballplayers all her life. So I expected that behavior from her and I was so glad that she warmed up to Garrett, but I think that it bothered me that she let some silly things affect her feelings for him. I felt like she would make up the drama in her head just so she could have a reason to be mad at Garrett when Garrett had only been so loving and honest with her. I think Jessa’s attitude was to make her look strong, but sometimes it came off as her being rude.

I am glad that there was some flirting before everything moved forward.
I think the author has a lot of potential and look forward to reading other books by her.

This story was just okay for me. I liked the characters and the story well enough but it didn't really draw any strong emotion from me.
Jessa is the daughter of the owner of a Major League Baseball team in NY. She's smart and determined and is also very beautiful. She works for her dad and feels like people are never genuine around her because of who she is. She was sent by her dad to "babysit" and keep an eye on his newest short stop - the charming and sexy Garrett.
Garrett (as I mentioned) is super charming and sexy. A southern man with more charm in his pinky than most other men. He's a very talented ball player and is a caring and kind person. The moment he sets his eyes on Jessa his heart stops and he wants nothing more than to be with her.
After a small misunderstanding when hey first meet, Garrett shows up at Jessa's hotel room with pizza and beer to get to know each other and already they are kissing and almost doing more. However the next day all bets are off when they go to dinner with some of the other teammates and their wives and Jessa shows up looking too sexy for Garrett. After dinner he can't hold off any longer and they go to his hotel room and have really hot sex.
I felt like Jessa and Garrett fell into each other's arms way to fast - they only spoke a few minutes and were already going at it like animals. Then by day 3 she was already falling in love and said it to Garrett while in the middle of a tickle fest. Also Jessa wasn't my favorite even though I liked her (if that makes sense). She was so hot and cold - one minute fine with one thing and then in the next minute she was thinking too hard and changing her mind. She was giving me whiplash. It did have its good moments when things seemed to be light and fun and really hot.
Overall it was an okay read.

I was given a copy of this book to write a review for Cocktails and Books.

SPRING TRAINING is a sizzling story about a hot baseball player who falls for the team owner’s daughter. Jessa Montgomery’s Dad owns the New York Empire major league baseball team. Jessa loves the game of baseball and works behind the scenes handling the administrative side of the business. She’s focused, driven and responsible, but she spends so much of her time working, she doesn’t have much fun in life. Jessa’s Dad has never wanted her to date baseball players, so she’s surprised when he asks her to spend time with Garrett Donovan, their newest acquisition to the team. Jessa agrees to help Garrett adjust to the team, but from the moment she meets Garrett, she is caught off guard by his sexy grin and sexual energy. Garrett doesn’t want to be attracted to Jessa , but he’s fighting a losing battle. Even though Garrett and Jessa are drawn to each other, they try to keep their relationship platonic; because they don’t want to make Jessa’s dad unhappy.
This is the first book I have read by Parker Kincade and I found it a delightful surprise. The characters are engaging, down to earth people and there’s a lot of steam when they are together. The story is absorbing and Garrett and Jessa’s relationship built at a believable pace. They have an immediate attraction and as their relationship develops they try to overcome the hurdles placed before them and their blossoming relationship. Both of them are strong, independent people, who always try to do the right thing and I found it easy to like them. I was rooting for them and hoping they would work things out and find a way to be together. I can’t wait to read more books by Parker Kincade.

“You're mine, Jessa. I’m not going anywhere. Unless it’s to find a more appropriate place to get you naked."

If you're a fan of Jaci Burton's Play by Play series and Toni Aleo's Assassins series (a hockey themed series) then "Spring Training" is for you!

Garrett Donovan is a baseball superstar looking "to secure a future for his family." He meets Tessa Montgomery, daughter of his boss, and things get sticky.

Basically, Garrett and Tessa's relationship was a steamy play of cat and mouse. Steamy because from the get go they were already ripping each other's clothes off and having sex. And cat and mouse because they had to hide their relationship away from everyone, especially Tessa's father.

I'm curious know as to where Ms. Kincade plans to take the next book as I assume that this is a series by judging by the title. If there is a next book then I hope it'll be on Tyler, Garrett's BFF and fellow teammate on his baseball team.

Random liners:
“Did you touch yourself this last month, baby? Did you pet that sweet pussy and think of me?”

“What do you say, princess? Meet me at my place after?” “Let me guess. You want me waiting, naked and in your bed?"

Sweet, sexy, fun smexing, good story line, fun characters, easy read...what more could you want in a contemporary romance?

Nothing my friends nothing.

Parker Kinkade does not disappoint in her delivery.

Garrett and Jessa were very likable. Especially Garrett. I have a soft spot for southern men with all that southern hospitality charm and Mama raised me right attitude. Very swoon worthy and a definite point in my book boyfriend check list.

The story is basically two people who meet, have amazing chemistry, hook up, know they can't or shouldn't be together, but need to be, obstacles, namely Jessa's dad who I was very surprised about attitude wise, and an assortment of secondary characters helping and not so much at times. And the little twist they both got caught up in. Yeah, I am mean, I never give up spoilers in a review, you need to read it!

Solid writing. Really nice flow. Very lighthearted easy read. Put's a smile on your face story line. Big hugs to the author. A definite recommend for all of you new to the author and if you know her, you will definitely love this fun gem.

This book was pretty much what I expected. It was a light read, nothing too heavy. While I enjoyed it, it wasn't something I would like to read all the time. For a beach read, or for something just to relax with this is your pick.

I love the baseball part in this book. I was born in New York City and therefore are a hardcore Yankees fan. I wished there were scenes where we actually saw the baseball side of Garrett come to life. Instead all we saw were small glimpses.

I found the chemistry between the two characters to be amazing. I really didn't get to know the characters as well but the chemistry was still amazing.

I found the overall problem to be kind of lacking, but as I said this is a light read so I kind of expected that.

I definitely recommend this to readers if they are looking for something light to read.

Holy, Hotness! This book is awesome! I read Spring Training in one sitting and could not put it down! I love a good baseball romance, I love a forbidden romance story and this book is a whole lot of both. Garrett is a good old southern boy who is making it in the big leagues and Jessa has been treated like the son her father never had her entire life. When this Princess and Golden Boy realize their attraction to each other is unavoidable, sparks fly and you will sigh!

Parker Kincaid knows how to write, good, hot, steam up your eye glasses sex! If you like a whole lot of passion and heat with a great story woven in, you will love this book. I give it 5 out of 5 Baseballs and will definitely be checking out the next book in her Game On series!

I like it, but i didn't love it. The characters were decent and the story moved well enough. I think this author has promise if she could just move away from cliche phrases, repeated character's reactions, and reiteration of the effect the characters have for one another. There's only so many gasps, panty drenching and nipple hardening at the mere sight of the male protagonist I can read before my eyes start to roll. The foundation of the story however, was pretty solid and definitely had direction. The build was good and the climax and ending satisfying. Good beach read. Keeping this author on my radar.

Spring Training by Parker Kincade features one of the sexiest heroes I've ever had the pleasure of fantasizing about. Garrett Donovan is a rookie baseball player with a lot riding on his success. Enter the boss's daughter and a steamy love affair that will have you looking for your lover. Can he and Jessa find a way to make their love work? Ms. Kincade wrings out every ounce of sensuality she can and pulls out all the stops. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book was HOT and fast moving! Jessa and Garrett have such a great chemistry that they can't deny! They try to hide from the public eye for both of their sakes, but a photo gets taken and these two try to deal with the consequences. Garrett is a great guy and Jessa is trying so hard to make her dad proud. These two finally didn't care what anyone thought and did what they felt was right for them!
