An absorbing study of baseball's rules--and the ways they have been broken in baseball history--presents actual cases from major league play and challenges several questionable umpiring decisions made through the years
A fun book that could use an edit and an update---it's missing 40 years of stats and stories at this point. Some of the rules examples are unclear and frustrating but there are some great hypotheticals. I would really love to see this "why the rules are what they are" concept as a documentary.
