Not great literature but definitely a good read.

This review is generic across all Talbott's Viking and Highlander books (so if you look for my review of another in this series you'll just see this).

Talbott has done a superb job of recreating the environment and culture of medieval Scotland and Northern England in these two series. No explicit sex and no gratuitous violence (though there is violence appropriate to the time and place of the novels). Perfect romantic historic fiction with enough swashbuckling tension to appeal to almost anyone. While I am well past adolescence (nearly to senescence), I believe YA readers looking for an entertaining read would like these novels as much as I did.

Highly recommended.

Wonderful Story!

Sad to see this series end but now to read the 1900’s. I just loved the characters and the storyline so much! It was sad reading that the plague again hit taking so many lives. I just loved the Triplets so much. Leaving Nicol Laird. Happy that the Brothers, Daniel and Coppy, Isabel and Bridget were finally found. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊

This is the correct teaser: Book Description
Publication Date: May 19, 2013
Terrified and out of breath, fifteen-year-old Isobell Macdean ran from her attackers as fast as she could to the top of a high cliff. All her life, she'd been warned not to go to the other side of the river where the women were troublesome and the Highlander men were giants, but her only option was to jump into the icy water below and pray she could stay on the right side.

Before Daniel’s mother died, she told him a secret he knew his brother would never accept, so when the brothers were forced to leave the far north of Scotland, Daniel decided it was time to see if what she said was true.

I don't know where the goodreads teaser came from. This book was not one of my favorites, but still worth the read.

Loved these because I didn't have to worry about the content in them
The language is clean and the romance is there without the naughtiness
Great writing
