Root Cause Analysis: Simplified Tools and Techniques

Rate this book
Finally, a book is available that makes root cause analysis accessible to any employee in all types of organizations and business sectors. Other books on the market are written primarily for the quality manager interested in understanding root cause analysis within the larger concept of TQM and continuous improvement. Root Cause A Beginner's Approach starts from scratch and builds gradually toward presenting the most-needed basic root analysis skills. These tools are described, and their purpose and typical applications are outlined. Procedures for applying the tools are included, as is a checklist, to ensure that the tools are applied correctly. Business examples and cases help support root cause analysis learning. The text also contains forms and templates that can be copied from the book.

A simple overview of the tools available to assist in root cause analysis and determining the ultimate cause of problems in industry or education. The text includes a great many examples and provides good samples of each tool both with and without data. It includes a CD with electronic samples of the tools, etc.
