The book is an overall enjoyable read, particularly for those with a background in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Its accessible language makes it easy to follow, though readers unfamiliar with CBT might find certain sections challenging.

One of the standout chapters is the one on social skills training, which is particularly well-written and insightful. However, given that the book is centered on CBT, I expected a stronger theoretical foundation linking CBT to appearance anxiety. Some techniques were not sufficiently explained, making them harder to grasp for readers who lack prior CBT knowledge.

A positive aspect of the book is the inclusion of clinical examples. However, the dialogues between practitioners and patients, while useful, felt monotonous. It would have been more effective if these dialogues were supplemented with a structured guidelines on session implementation.
A deeper theoretical discussion of these cases would enhance its value.

Despite these limitations, it remains a worthwhile read, especially for those interested in this topic
