Meeting your boyfriend's ex can be unnerving - but when she's 1) an Arabian princess, 2) a 'Mistress of the Dark Arts' and 3) still very very angry - it can be downright dangerous.
Ash and Leila's break-up wasn't exactly amicable - he cheated on her and she retaliated by enslaving him in a ring for several hundred years. Then Fran Roper and a well-timed kiss finally set him free. Now Leila's back and she's as angry as ever. One wrong word and Ash once more finds himself magically transformed, along with the uber-snidey Zara. Looks like Fran will have seven chances to save her man but with a seriously peeved princess, a love-sick ex-rock god and world's worst genie to contend with - it's not going to be easy.
Rose Wilkins grew up in rural Wales but now lives in West London. She studied Classics at university and is the great-great niece of Charles Kingsley (of WATER BABIES fame). She works in publishing.
I was so excited to read the sequel that I read right when I got it and finished it in a day. As expected, it is an awesome sequel with great plot. I love the characters - especially Ash because of his silly, charming ways when speaking and his cute actions - and thanks to the wonderful described scenes, I could 'imagine' it! But I cannot feel Zara's character build up though and I feel like there is a bit of a rush at the end of the story. But overall, I enjoyed it! I just wish there are more books for this series.
