Nestled deep in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon, the close-knit community of Timber Falls is visited by evil. Could one of their own be lurking in the shadows...?

She skidded into town on a bike too powerful for most men, with ten thousand dollars in her saddlebag and a bullet wound in her shoulder. Maggie Randolph was searching for something and running from someone. But she didn't plan on running into a man she could trust.... Timber Falls' deputy sheriff Jesse Tanner had to convince the daredevil beauty that he'd protect her. But first he'd have to catch her -- before it was too late.

Jesse was sexy as sin, and chivalrous to boot. But Maggie wasn't exactly playing by the books in her search for the truth about her father's murder and her own adoption. Could she share her secrets with Jesse and find solace in his arms for good?

Maggie Randolph is running away from people who want to kill her and have killed her father before. Before dying, her father told her that she was adopted. Now someone is determined to eliminate anyone who tries to unravel the mystery of her adoption. Maggie, however, is determined to find the truth even if it takes her to the wilderness of Timber Falls, a small close-knit community nestled deep in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. While she is determined to find the truth and is trying to remain detached, the Deputy Sheriff Jesse Tanner is annoyingly always on her mind. The suave, sexy and handsome man is someone she felt safe with the first time he saved her. But can she trust him? Who is after her? Why doesn't that person want her to find the truth? Can Jesse be the man who will understand and fight along side her?

The Cascade Concealed series is one of my favorite series by B.J. Daniels. I had read Wanted Woman a few years back and had almost forgotten the thrill of adventure and the excitement of mystery solving that I had got while reading this book and the series. A girl child went missing twenty seven years ago and this event changed the lives of many in Timber Falls. Now Maggie is here and maybe she is that lost girl. But there are some people who dont want to truth to come to light and will do anything to stop this from happening.

The settings are very beautifully planned and developed. I could visualize the uneven and dangerous terrain and the small, quaint town of Timber Falls where everyone knows everyone and still dont know as much as they thing they do! The feeling of mystery, dark secrets and impending danger is admirably made to feel to the reader who fells right at the center of all the action and danger.

The characterization is very expertly done. People are complex here with many facets to their character. Although you may think that you know them but still there are secrets that they are hiding and ones which we can never guess! BJ's writing style is engaging and easily keeps the reader at the edge of his seat, completely invested in the story throughout.

The chemistry between Maggie and Jesse is hot, sensuous and very heartwarming. Jesse is swoon worthy and totally an alpha. He gives a wild, untamed impression which is so sexy and made me want to meet him. :)

Maggie is strong, independent and fearless. She is unlike the simpering, sensitive heroines of romance novels. I really liked her and enjoyed her chemistry with Jesse.

The story moves swiftly and there are well planned twists and turns in the book that keep the reader guessing right till the end. The mystery when it is solved will surprise and impress you.

The best part is that it can be read as a standalone but it is still recommended that you read the series in order. All in all, a great book that I totally loved and strongly recommend to everyone. 4.5 out of 5 to Wanted Woman from my side. Do not miss this book and the series. It's a must read.

I received the book from Netgalley and the publisher, Harlequin and I am very thankful to them. The above reviews are my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

“Wanted Woman” a fast-paced, action-packed romance opens in Seattle where Maggie Randolph searching for the truth behind her adoption and father's death escapes being killed like the informant she meets on the dock. Fleeing the Seattle Detective sworn to keep the mystery of her adoption secret she strikes out for Timber Falls Oregon with ten thousand dollars in her saddlebag, an expensive motorcycle and a bullet wound hastily patched up.

On the run as she nears the small community, Maggie's motorcycle is sideswiped by a red sports car only to be picked up out of the dirt by deputy sheriff Jesse Turner who’s immediately attracted to the “wanted woman", vowing to protect her and help uncover the truth behind the secrets that has her running for her life.

Filled with mystery, intensity and suspense quickly escalate not only with her escape from the detective who wants to protect a dark secret in his past, but as details of her kidnapping and adoption are revealed and threaten her life. Well-written with twists that keep you on the edge of your seat tension ignites when Maggie concocts a scheme to expose the kidnapper.

Exciting with the added enticement of the battling Dennisons, Wade and Daisy and their wild daughter Desiree, emotions spark when Jesse falling for Maggie suspects they could be related and they have to temper their growing passion for one another. Short in length, as clues to the past are unraveled, the plot all too quickly progresses to an explosive confrontation near the end and a change of career for Jesse.

Breathing life into the plot are compelling, and complex characters like the wealthy, independent and fearless Maggie Randolph; sexy, determined, deputy sheriff turned artist Jesse Turner; his law abiding, down-to-earth younger brother Mitch Turner ; and the spirited, tenacious reporter Charity Jenkins. But it’s the dogged, aggressive and fearful Detective Rupert Blackmore who saved a baby but wants to bury any details of the past who adds a dark chill to the story..

I thoroughly enjoyed “Wanted Woman” the third book in the “Cascades Concealed” series and look forward to reading more by this talented writer.

Interesting book that obviously was a fast read. The main characters at times seem slightly contrived. A kidnapped child sold to a wealthy family who is suddenly threatened by the very person who kidnapped her and sold her. Her expertise and savvy allow Maggie to escape. Meeting a part time sheriff (filling in for his recovering brother) artist helps her put the pieces together and solve the mystery. Travis and Maggie romance has the added problem that they may actually be siblings due to the affairs of their parents. Lots of blood tests going on. As with all romances there is the traditional happy ending.

This was a good series. Wanted woman was my favorite of the 3 books. It tied everything together. I was blown away when I found out who was behind the kidnapping. It’s always a good book when you have no idea who the bad guy is until you read it. I think this book could be read as a standalone with ease.

She road a big Harley and was side swiped, when he found her, from there it was give and take. She was looking for her family, someone had kidnapped her 27 years ago, he was a stand-in for the sherriff, who had been shot, and he was his brother

A really fun, clean read! Enjoyed the kidnapping mystery and cast of characters without all of the usual "romance" stuff (well, mostly...) Was rooting for the DNA test to go the other way, though. Definitely interested in reading the other two in the series.

This is the 3rd and final book in the Cascades Concealed series and I totally loved it. I enjoyed reading about who Maggie was and if she was the baby that got kidnapped many years ago. Daniels is at the top of her game in this who done it. She tells a compelling story of a baby that was taken with a mystery of why, no demands were ever asked, the baby was never found. Maggie knew she was adopted but was never told anything else until the day her father died and the truth came out. Now she is on the run trying to outrun the law as she tries to find out who she is and why there are so many secretes. Why is someone out to kill her, why would they have kidnapped her? The who done it and why will leave you setting with your mouth open. This is a truly wonderful ending.

Maggie comes into town on a bike no man can’t handle, with ten thousand dollars in her saddlebag and a bullet wound in her shoulder. Some lady hit her and took off. Jesse is to the rescue but she finds he is a cop and she can’t trust them since she is on the run herself. Then Jesse finds out he might be her brother, lord what a mess with them so attracted to each other what is a boy to do? He has got this, he must find her, keep her in town, help her out the mystery and keep her alive to tell the story.

Daniels keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering why, who and how. I haven’t read one of her books that I have not just adored. She is a very talented author as she shows us again in Wanted Women just why people all over the world can’t wait for her next book. If you haven’t read this book or any of her others you do not know what you are missing. I highly recommend you pick up one of them today.

This book is the 3rd in the Cascades Concealed series. It finally resolves the mystery of what happened to baby Angela Dennison. Most of the book was really great, but the plot failed with the resolution of the kidnaping.
